Braised Eggplant with Minced Pork

Chapter 111 Draft Prediction

“My sisters, each and every one of them is a socialite, each one richer than the last. They are the pride of the family, the ones who maintain its prosperity. But does that give them the right to force me to do things I don’t want to do?” Olsen continued, truly seeking someone to confide in.

He hadn't known Olsen had sisters, and more than one at that?

He took out his phone and searched for "Olsen socialites," quickly finding out who her sisters were.

The Olsen twins, Ashley Olsen and Mary-Kate Olsen, presidents of Dualstar Entertainment Group, were virtual money-printing machines, with a net worth approaching $400 million.

$400 million was a considerable sum, even for American actresses. No wonder Olsen had a sports car in every city.

He could basically understand what Olsen was saying.

Her two sisters had funded her life, and now that they felt she was grown and it was time to earn money, they wanted her to do what they deemed appropriate, even if it meant starring in an R-rated movie.

From a certain perspective, it was reasonable. After all, raising and providing for someone required financial investment, and it was natural to expect some return.

But these were relatives, not just anyone. If even family was treated as an investment, it truly embodied the spirit of capitalism.

"Elizabeth, if you don't want to act, then don't. It's your life, not theirs. If you feel obligated because they've spent money on you, and you feel bad refusing, you can confront them, calculate the amount, and pay them back little by little. After all, they're just your sisters, not your parents."

Olsen was stunned for a moment, then turned to look at Tang Tian.

What Tang Tian said was the only option she had besides starring in *Martha Marcy May Marlene*.

She nodded.

"Okay, let's go back to the car first, or you'll really catch a cold." Tang Tian said, helping her up and taking the unfinished bottle of whiskey from her.

He had only mentioned calling a tow truck to tease Olsen. There were still designated driver services in America.

He had the designated driver take the car to the hotel. After helping Olsen to her room, he told her to rest.

Thankfully, he hadn't arrived too late. Olsen hadn't gotten drunk and vomited; she fell asleep shortly after lying down on the bed.

Tang Tian settled her in, then took a taxi back to school.

The next morning, Tang Tian received a call from Olsen. She thanked him and decided to do as he suggested, returning everything her sisters had given her and preparing for a showdown.

It seemed Olsen had made her life choice, which was at least not a bad thing.

With the conclusion of the 2010-2011 NCAA Championship, the 2011 NBA Draft was already on the agenda.

ESPN columnist Chad Ford moved quickly, releasing his latest 2011 NBA Draft predictions based on player abilities and current team records just days after the tournament ended.

The list included NCAA draft favorites like Irving, Barnes, and Derrick Williams, as well as overseas players like Kanter, Jan Vesely, and Valanciunas.

1st Pick: Harrison Barnes

Commentary: Barnes' performance in the tournament was impressive. He scored 11 points in the second half against the University of Connecticut, almost helping his team complete a major comeback. He's versatile on both offense and defense, with no obvious technical flaws, making him a suitable cornerstone for a team. Plus, he's only 18 years old (turning 19 this May)!

The Timberwolves, Cavaliers, and Raptors have basically locked in the bottom three records. These three teams desperately need a LeBron-esque all-around player like him.

Although Barnes has already promised at a press conference to continue staying in school, I think he'll change his mind. This is the best year for his draft prospects.

Draft Comparison: Glen Rice.

2nd Pick: Kyrie Irving

Irving's talent is undeniable. The strength he displayed throughout the tournament surpassed all opponents. He scored 31 points in the game against the University of Connecticut. The only pity is that he ultimately failed to lead his team to victory, and his limited appearances due to a toe injury have restricted his draft prospects. But what's certain is that his talent and strength are outstanding, and he's still the best candidate for the top pick besides Barnes.

Draft Comparison: Mike Conley/Chris Paul

3rd Pick: Derrick Williams

If Harrison Barnes has the future potential to grow into a LeBron-esque player, then Derrick is the LeBron of the NCAA. He's strong, his physical abilities are explosive, he can easily perform between-the-legs or windmill dunks, and he can swing between the three and four positions, which makes his future in the NBA full of possibilities. However, his performance against the University of Connecticut has shrunk his draft prospects somewhat. His shooting ability is questionable.

Draft Comparison: David West/Michael Beasley

4th Pick: Perry Jones

He has outstanding height and wingspan, as well as amazing athletic talent. The next McGrady? Why not! He's an offensive genius whose offensive ability in college is comparable to Kevin Durant and Michael Beasley. His talent makes him seem full of infinite possibilities. The reason I put him in this position is because I think he's likely to give up this year's draft and choose to continue honing his skills in the NCAA.

Draft Comparison: Kevin Durant/Tracy McGrady

5th Pick: Enes Kanter

Due to an overseas bribery scandal, Kanter was stripped of his eligibility to represent Kentucky in the NCAA for the 2010-2011 season. As an aside, if he had been there, Kentucky would definitely have made it to the final and even won the championship. This isn't just a compliment. This 2.11-meter big man can shoot mid-range shots and use skilled footwork to attack under the basket. His free throws after drawing fouls are also extremely consistent. He's a versatile inside player.

The only concern is his history of knee injuries, which will make the teams choosing him very cautious.

Draft Comparison: Al Horford

6th Pick: Jared Sullinger

He's the best power forward this year (Derrick Williams and Harrison Barnes will mostly play small forward in the NBA). He's a low-post player who's extremely good at physical play and utilizing his body. His footwork is excellent. His freshman season was perfect, and his March Madness performance was crazy enough. He's likely to be a dark horse in the draft, even entering the top three.

7th Pick: Kemba Walker

I'm a fan of Kemba. His breakthroughs are full of technical skill and violent aesthetics, making people excited. And he's improved more this year than in the past two years. His performance against Duke University impressed me. He's no longer just a soldier who only knows how to charge forward, but knows how to restrain himself, use defense to find his form, and ultimately defeat Kyrie Irving. His NCAA career is perfect. He's the one and only candidate for the top pick in my heart.

As for why he's ranked seventh, it's because as a short guard, Kemba still needs to improve his shooting ability and learn how to control his turnovers. His talent limits his draft position, but I think he'll definitely have a very exciting professional career.

Draft Comparison: Tim Hardaway/Bobby Jackson
