**Chapter 820: Luo Bei's Plan**
Luo Bei initially wore an expression of disdain and contempt. But as he flipped through the stack of documents in front of him, his face drained of color. Beads of cold sweat dotted his forehead, his eyes widening in shock and disbelief. He jerked his head up to stare at Li Se, his voice trembling as he blurted out, **"Y-you… How did you get these?!"**
Li Se smirked. **"Still think there’s anything wrong with me taking over your Jiangbei Chamber of Commerce? This is enough to get you executed."**
Luo Bei’s face turned ashen. He never imagined Li Se could have obtained such damning evidence. A thought suddenly struck him, and he frantically began tearing the documents to shreds before dumping them into a trash bin.
**"Hahaha…"** Li Se laughed, his tone dripping with mockery. **"President Luo, take your time tearing them up. I’ve got plenty more copies. Want me to print you another set?"**
**"What do you want?"** Luo Bei growled through gritted teeth.
**"Dad, what were those documents?"** Luo Xiuxian asked, bewildered. What could possibly make his father so terrified?
Luo Bei ignored his son, his gaze fixed venomously on Li Se.
**"Simple. I want the entire Jiangbei Chamber of Commerce,"** Li Se said coolly.
**"Impossible!"** Luo Bei snarled. **"The Jiangbei Chamber is my life’s work! I’ll never hand it over. At most, I’ll give you a billion! Isn’t that enough? I’ll buy those documents from you. Since you brought them here today, it means we can negotiate. A billion—what do you say?"**
**"Seems like there’s nothing left to discuss."** Li Se stood up to leave. **"Let’s go to the police. I wonder if this evidence is enough for a firing squad?"**
**"Boss, execution might be a stretch, but a life sentence? Definitely."** Xu Qiang chuckled.
**"Wait!"** Luo Bei hastily called out. **"Fine, I’ll agree. But I need one day—just one day! The Jiangbei Chamber is massive. Even if you want to absorb it into your Muzi Chamber, it’ll take time to transfer everything."**
**"One day?"** Li Se studied Luo Bei, amusement flickering in his eyes. **"Sure, I’ll give you one day. President Luo, I’d advise against playing any tricks. Otherwise, I can’t guarantee these documents won’t… leak."**
**"Deal."** Luo Bei nodded stiffly.
Once Li Se and his men left, Luo Bei collapsed into his chair, his face ghostly pale.
**"Dad, what exactly were those documents?"** Luo Xiuxian pressed.
**"Evidence… of all the illegal dealings we’ve done over the years,"** Luo Bei said weakly.
**"How?!"** Luo Xiuxian was stunned. **"How did Li Se get his hands on them? That’s impossible! We’ve always cleaned up thoroughly—even when things went wrong, we had scapegoats. There’s no way Li Se could’ve obtained proof!"**
Luo Bei took a deep breath. **"Li Se must have powerful backing. But it doesn’t matter now. Our only hope is that expert I contacted. If he can kill Li Se, everything changes!"**
**"Dad, who is this expert?"** Luo Xiuxian asked urgently.
**"He’ll arrive tomorrow. We’ll arrange a meeting with Li Se… and have him eliminated. I refuse to believe Li Se can stand against a true master!"** Luo Bei hissed.

**Outside the Jiangbei Chamber of Commerce**
Zhao Ba frowned. **"Boss, by leaving now, we’re giving Luo Bei a chance to escape. What if he flees?"**
Li Se chuckled. **"Unless he’s willing to abandon the Jiangbei Chamber, he won’t run. My guess? He’s figuring out how to kill me."**
Xu Qiang nodded. **"That fits Luo Bei’s personality. Our intel says he’s been in contact with a martial arts expert—likely to deal with you. When he calls us, it’ll be a trap."**
Zhao Ba and Old Fu exchanged uneasy glances.
**"Boss, should we really walk into that?"** Old Fu asked.
**"Of course. I want to see what kind of ‘expert’ Luo Bei dug up."** Li Se shrugged, utterly unfazed. Confidence born of absolute skill.
Now, they just had to wait for Luo Bei’s call. Li Se didn’t return to the Muzi Chamber—there was no need today. As for going home? Too early. Especially with Su Mei and the others there… His body wasn’t sure it could handle it.
Just then, his phone rang. An unknown number.
**"Dr. Li, are you busy?"** A sweet, familiar voice came through.
Li Se paused. He recognized it but couldn’t place it. **"Who is this?"**
**"It’s Chen Yiqing. The one you saved from that curse with the Five Elements Talisman… You forgot?"** Her voice carried a hint of disappointment. *How could he forget me?*
**"Ah, Miss Chen! How are you feeling now?"** Li Se genuinely hadn’t remembered. But the mention of Chen Yiqing brought another face to mind—Xiao Feifei. Memories of that day in the haunted house surfaced, and he licked his lips unconsciously.
**"I, um, wanted to treat you to dinner. Are you free?"** Chen Yiqing asked.
After a brief consideration, Li Se agreed. He got the address and drove straight over.
---
**At a Seafood Restaurant**
**"Yiqing, why did you invite *him*?"** Xiao Feifei frowned. She really didn’t want to see Li Se—not after what happened at the haunted house. The memory of being forced to… *urinate* in front of him still made her cheeks burn.
**"Feifei, he saved me. I never properly thanked him."** Chen Yiqing blinked innocently. **"Wait, did something happen between you two?"**
*Oh no. If there’s bad blood, I need to fix this!*
Before Xiao Feifei could respond, a voice called out:
**"Feifei!"**
Chen Yiqing giggled. **"Your admirer is here."**
Xiao Feifei rolled her eyes at the approaching figure. **"Shao Zhiguo, how did you find me here?"**
**"Just here for seafood with friends. What a coincidence!"** Shao Zhiguo beamed. **"Join us?"**
**"No thanks. I’m waiting for my *boyfriend*,"** Xiao Feifei said flatly.
Chen Yiqing’s eyes widened in realization.
**"Feifei, don’t joke. You don’t have a boyfriend,"** Shao Zhiguo scoffed.
Just then, another figure walked in. Xiao Feifei immediately brightened and strode over, looping her arm around his.
**"Meet my boyfriend—Li Se!"**
