Chapter 141: You All Are Too Weak (Part 2)
The students watched Azrael leaving with blank looks on their faces, their minds still trying to process what they had just heard.
"Oh, by the way..." Just as he was about to leave the building, Azrael remembered something and looked back at the students.
"I forgot to mention it earlier, but... All of your strength is so pitiful, I don’t even feel like watching you spar with each other. I hope that the next time I see you all, you will at least be able to arouse my interest. Otherwise, my academic life will be quite boring."
"You bastard... Who do you think you are to act so arrogantly?" One of the students couldn’t stand Azrael’s words and shouted.
"I am the rank one student of the class, my friend," Azrael answered with a sneer and without waiting for a response, he turned and left the building.
The man who had shouted choked on his own words and stared at Azrael’s departing figure with a speechless look.
"This guy..." Luo Bingqing and some other students quickly realized that Azrael was deliberately riling them up. Still, they couldn’t help but feel speechless, wondering if he wasn’t afraid of making the entire class his enemy.
Felix was also standing among the crowd with a bewildered expression, his mind struggling to process what had just happened. At that moment, a gust of wind brushed past his face, carrying a faint voice to his ears.
"Let’s meet in the evening."
Felix snapped back to his senses when he heard Azrael’s voice, a confused look immediately appearing on his face.
’Does he want to meet me so that I can help him go to the infirmary after he gets beaten to a pulp by the other students?’
Ronald observed the students’ reactions, and when he noticed that most of them were fuming with anger, looking as if they were ready to beat Azrael, he could only smile wryly.
’Although they look motivated, I’m not sure if this kind of motivation is good or bad.’
Shaking his head, Ronald finally called out the next student to the ring in order to assess their abilities.
Meanwhile, Azrael didn’t return to his mansion after leaving, but instead headed straight toward the Skill Library to obtain the skill he had already decided on.
As he walked, he reflected on his battle against Luo Bingqing.
He knew that during the spar, neither of them had used their full strength—especially Luo Bingqing, who had completed his trial back in January.
’Since he completed his trial in January, he must have already learned some skills. But he didn’t use a single one of them, not even his class skills.’
Not only that, but Azrael also realized that Luo Bingqing’s power system was still incomplete.
’He still hasn’t embedded a Substance.’
A Substance could increase the strength of a user’s power by 1.5 to 2 times. During the fight, Azrael had noticed that while Luo Bingqing’s ice power was indeed strong, it was still weaker than his own wind power, which was much stronger than that of ordinary people because of his mid-level breathing method.
If Luo Bingqing’s ice power had been supported by a Substance, Azrael’s wind power would have had a much harder time facing it head-on.
Unlike Attributes, which people could activate or deactivate at will, a Substance permanently increased the strength of a user’s power. Once embedded, it could not be controlled like an Attribute—it was always active and had to be used.
Because of this, Azrael was certain that Luo Bingqing hadn’t embedded a Substance yet.
’If he had embedded a good Substance... I would have had a hard time breaking out of that cage. I might even have been forced to use Fallen Star to escape.’
As Azrael thought about this, his eyes grew deep.
’Indeed, no one who can enter the Elite Class of the top academy is weak.’
With these thoughts swirling in his mind, Azrael used his second consciousness to check the list of skills Ronald had sent him.
The reason Azrael had asked for a skill that could enhance his vision, allowing him to see clearly in different environments was because of what had happened on the 9th level of the Tower of Trials.
Due to the overwhelming darkness on that level, his vision had been restricted, and he had been beheaded before he could even see his opponent’s face.
Currently, his senses were not developed enough to allow him to fight without relying on his eyesight. Moreover, during combat, he often used his Infinite Comprehension Trait to read the movements of his opponent’s muscles in order to predict their next attack. And to read those muscle movements, he had to depend heavily on his eyesight.
As such, he definitely needed a skill to address the problem with his eyesight, ensuring that a situation like what happened on the 9th level of the Tower of Trials would never occur again.
’Other than a skill to solve the problem of environmental vision, I also need a defensive skill.’
As Azrael thought about defensive skills, a faint frown crossed his face. Honestly, he didn’t want a defensive skill that simply created a barrier around him to block attacks or something similar.
The major weakness of such defensive skills was obvious: once you ran out of cosmic energy, you couldn’t use them at all. A defensive skill that became useless the moment one’s energy was depleted was far too limited.
Instead, Azrael wanted a skill that could directly enhance his body’s defense—making his physical body stronger. That way, even if he ran out of cosmic energy, it wouldn’t matter. As long as his body was strong enough, he would be able to endure regardless.
’I hope the skill Mom told me about is in the Skill Library...’ Azrael thought inwardly.
A few minutes later, he stopped in front of a five-story building. A large wooden plaque with the words Skill Library hung at the top, and several students, clearly from the higher-level classes could be seen going in and out of the building.
Azrael gazed at the structure for a few seconds before moving forward and stepping inside.
He had just entered and hadn’t even taken a look around when the smart band on his wrist vibrated slightly.
Azrael paused and glanced at the message he had received and upon reading its contents, he raised an eyebrow and a faint smile curved his lips.
’So, they have finally got the Substance I asked for.’
