Chapter 263: Speak Up
September 10th, Teacher’s Day.
After school yesterday, the class cadres of Senior Year, Class 6 discussed and, following tradition, took some money from the class fund and bought several bouquets of flowers to give to the homeroom teacher and the subject teachers on Teacher’s Day. Some students also bought or made greeting cards to give to their teachers.
In this era, that’s pretty much what Teacher’s Day was like, still quite simple. Over a decade later, a distasteful trend of trying to outdo each other with expensive gifts for teachers on Teacher’s Day emerged. Only after the Ministry of Education issued a document strictly prohibiting this behavior did that trend stop. But in the year 2001, Teacher’s Day still consisted of a few bouquets and greeting cards.
The first class in the morning was Old Jiang’s Chinese language class. Old Jiang accepted the fresh flowers from the students with a smile and carefully gathered the greeting cards on the podium before starting the class.
Sun Keke received special attention from Old Jiang—essentially, he called on her more often to answer questions, which helps students focus in class and builds self-confidence whenever they answer correctly. Being the daughter of the vice-principal, it was normal for her to enjoy this slight favoritism.
In Senior Year, it was customary not to have physical education classes—as the PE teachers would always come up with various illnesses once students reached their final year. But No. 8 Middle School had been reformed, hadn’t it? The deal they struck with the education bureau was to strongly promote quality education. So at No. 8 Middle School, the PE classes for this year’s seniors were still proceeding as normal.
During PE class, the girls were divided into groups to play volleyball, while the teacher took the boys for a run around the track. Sun Keke and Du Xiaoyan were playing volleyball with a few other girls, while just beyond a wall next to the field, whistles suddenly came from the Ba International Division’s side. The girls from the main section had grown accustomed to such raucous sounds these past few days and could basically turn a blind eye.
As the volleyball passed from one girl to another, when it reached Sun Keke, something miraculous happened!
The jeering and whistling came to an abrupt halt!
Sun Keke couldn’t help but turn to look and saw the boys from the Ba International Division, usually brash and unruly, standing neatly behind the fence. Their gazes were also disciplined, not daring to wander, and they all shut their mouths.
Caught off guard, Sun Keke put a little too much strength into her serve, losing control of it.
With a THUMP, the ball smashed onto the ground. Du Xiaoyan dived to save it with all her might, but was still a step too late.
After a second of silence...
"Sister-in-law is awesome!!"
"Sister-in-law is amazing!!"
"Sister-in-law rocks!!"
On the other side of the fence, the boys from the Ba International Division exploded into applause and cheers that sounded like thunder.
Sun Keke was a bit stunned, then her face fell.
"What are you shouting about!" Sun Keke turned back and glared at them with a flushed face.
At this moment, the PE teacher arrived, and the riffraff from the Ba International Division scattered.
When class was over, Sun Keke had just finished collecting the volleyballs with the female sports rep and returned them to the PE department’s research office before heading back to the Senior Year, Class 6 classroom. She saw a group of girls gathered there, chattering about something. Sun Keke approached, and everyone immediately quieted down. Then Sun Keke felt all sorts of strange looks directed at her.
School belle Sun furrowed her brow, pretending nothing was amiss as she returned to her seat and organized her books.
"Keke..."
"Hmm."
"You..." Du Xiaoyan sat down next to Sun Keke, whispering, "Chen Nuo really isn’t coming back, huh."
"Huh?" Sun Keke was taken aback.
Du Xiaoyan looked at Sun Keke suspiciously; her expression suggested she wasn’t feigning ignorance. She frowned and said, "I heard... he transferred to the Ba International Division."
"Who?"
"Who else could it be? Your family member, Chen Nuo."
Sun Keke fell silent once again.
Chen Nuo, transferred to the Ba International Division? Hmm... It must have been... Niveer who helped him transfer, right?
Feeling somewhat uncomfortable yet holding back a deep breath, Sun Keke looked up at Du Xiaoyan and said lightly, "It’s none of my business."
Du Xiaoyan: "..."
It seems the rumors are true after all; they really had a fight?
In the classroom of the preparatory course in the Ba International Division.
Chen Nuo packed up his things and slowly wheeled himself to the front of the classroom. None of the students in the class dared to move; they all sat obediently at their desks. The teacher had already left, and everyone was looking at this new transfer student.
"I have something to say," Chen Nuo said with a smile, picking up an "English-Chinese Dictionary" from the lectern.
"I’ve been here for two days, and I believe everyone has gotten to know me," Chen Nuo said with a grin. "I’m actually a very reasonable person, and... since everyone elected me as class president today..."
As if we dared to vote for anyone else... everyone thought with disdain.
"So, as the class president, I have to lead everyone to study hard," Chen Nuo said, patting the "English-Chinese Dictionary" in his hand. "Zhou Kai."
"Huh?" Zhou Kai discontentedly mumbled from his seat, "Boss Chen, can you let me off the hook? I haven’t dared to set foot in the main campus for the last two days."
"I heard that when you took the entrance exam, you ranked last in English," Chen Nuo said with a smile. "That won’t do. In the future, you’ll all be studying abroad, and you can’t get by if your English is too poor."
"...My parents don’t care about me," Zhou Kai murmured in a low voice.
"It starts today," Chen Nuo announced as he tossed the dictionary to Zhou Kai.
Zhou Kai caught it in a panic. "What does this mean?"
"Tonight, everyone is going to memorize pages one to ten for me."
BOOM!
The whole class exploded!
Why the hell?! I’m a slacker student! I came to the Ba International Division just to kill time! Asking me to memorize vocabulary?!
At that moment, Chen Nuo added, "Everyone memorizes ten pages... Zhou Kai, you memorize twenty."
Zhou Kai was devastated!
"On what basis?! Chen Nuo, don’t go too far! We all accepted you as the boss! Do you think you’re a teacher or something? And now giving homework?"
Chen Nuo didn’t bother reasoning with him and said indifferently, "I will check it tomorrow."
"What if I can’t recite it?" Zhou Kai gritted his teeth.
"You’ll get beaten up. Very, very painfully. Everyone who does recite it gets to beat you up collectively."
Zhou Kai: "..."
After a moment of internal struggle, Zhou Kai asked in a low voice, "And what if nobody can recite it?"
Chen Nuo smiled, his gaze sweeping over everyone. "Does anyone think that ten pages are too hard to memorize, that they can’t do it themselves? Speak up now."
No one dared to speak.
Chen Nuo had been in this class for three days now. The first day caught everyone by surprise, but in the following three days, there were indeed some who resisted. A few boys tried to band together to confront Chen Nuo. The result was that six boys, who thought they were quite good at fighting, ended up with their heads stuffed into the toilet bowls. Zhou Kai was among them.
It wasn’t like no one thought of other methods, like getting people from outside the school to ambush Chen Nuo after school. And indeed, they found some people. But the next morning, seven or eight little street toughs, with bruised and swollen faces, squatted at the entrance of the Ba International Division of No. 8 Middle School, in a row along the wall, holding their heads in their hands and facing the fence. Each had a sign around their neck: "I will never harass students near the school again."
Since they were powerless against Chen Nuo themselves, these spoiled brats naturally thought of their parents. Usually, their mindset had always been such—whenever they caused trouble outside, their last resort was to get their family to clean up the mess. So some started complaining to their parents, saying there was a bully at school and all that.
Fathers know their children best—most parents quite clearly understood the kind of person their child was. But hearing that their child was being bullied at school still caught them somewhat off-guard. In the past, wasn’t it always my child who was bullying others at school? Now they’re the ones being bullied?
There were also those more aggressive parents who called the teachers and then complained to the contacts at the Ba International Division. All of them came from well-off families, and whenever the person in charge of the Ba International Division reached out in the past, the attitude was always polite—nothing shameful about that. But this time the complaint was met with a flat retort from the usually courteous contact person.
"If you’re unhappy, you can have your child withdrawn from school; you are welcome to come to the school to handle it at any time."
"..."
Some hot-headed parents, feeling they had done well for themselves, exploded on the spot, and some indeed stormed the school to argue their case.
The result was...
"I know your family owns a factory, I know you’re rich, I know you’re acquainted with leaders from the education bureau... But don’t forget, we handled the paperwork when your child was applying for immigration, providing proof of assets and so on—we’re well aware of your situation. Nevertheless, I would advise you not to provoke that person; he’s out of your league."
The parent was immediately stupefied on the spot.
The person in charge of the Ba International Division let out a sigh and shared quietly, "I’m not clear about the student’s background, but I do know that on the day he enrolled, the school board director and the head of the education group personally called to ask us to take special care in receiving him. On the day of enrollment, the first assistant to the school board director personally accompanied the student... About that scene... well, let me put it this way, I’d treat my own father like that at most! Do you understand? The day after the student enrolled, we received a donation for a scholarship. One million. US dollars!"
With a wry smile, the person in charge said, "If you’re truly dissatisfied... how about you also donate one million US dollars to the school? We guarantee your child will receive the same special treatment!"
In 2001, one million US dollars was over eight million RMB. To toss out casually and club someone with it! The families of these students in the Ba International Division’s preparatory class were considered wealthy by the standards of that era, but they didn’t have the kind of money to throw around eight million on a whim. There were indeed genuine tycoons in that era, but those who were that wealthy wouldn’t bother with No. 8 Middle School. They had better places to go, right?
Now the parents understood. Well, this was a case of a casual spender running into a high roller. What else could be done? Actually withdraw and transfer schools? I can’t do that! Many of the immigration procedures have already been handled. Moreover, it’s already September and school has started. The school records have been submitted, and it’s impossible to transfer at this time. Going to another school would be no better than going to No. 8 Middle School.
In a word—if they had a better choice, would they have come to No. 8 Middle School?
And... in this day and age, hardly anyone who has made a bit of a fortune is a fool! They’re all shrewd.
What do you do if you can’t beat them? If you can’t beat them, join them!
So, some clever parents advised their children not to get into conflicts with that school bully at school. Even smarter ones would tell their children: Try to befriend them if possible! Someone as formidable as this theoretically shouldn’t be attending No. 8 Middle School. But since they were here, opportunities to mingle with such big shots on normal days were rare. Isn’t this an opportunity?
It’s a very simple concept: If you find out that one of your child’s classmates is the son of a tech tycoon, would you tell your child to clash with him or to try to make friends with him?
So, being unable to defeat him on their own, and with the parents’ advice from home, the students from the preparatory class suddenly became well-behaved. Chen Nuo’s position quickly became stable in a short period of time.
The next day, Zhou Kai recited the content of twenty pages from an English-Chinese dictionary in front of the whole class. Although his recitation was stammering, he still managed to memorize it all. When he finished the last word, Zhou Kai almost cried! It was not easy at all! I’ve never worked so hard in all these years!!
Of course, there were also the unlucky ones. Indeed, there was someone who couldn’t recite it. Such people exist; even if they know they’ll be beaten and punished, they just don’t like to study. Otherwise, they wouldn’t be called underachievers.
Chen Nuo’s method of dealing with this was very simple. At noon, this student held his own desk with both hands and squatted in the hallway outside the classroom.
Occasionally, a curious teacher passing by would ask, and this student would actively admit, "Teacher, I’m exercising!"
Then, all his classmates would testify for him: "That’s true! This student loves to exercise regularly!"
"Hold on a second!"
Old Jiang frowned and glanced at Zhu Dazhi, then walked over, adjusted Zhu Dazhi’s arms a bit, and corrected the position of his boxing stance. Next to the small woods, Zhang Linsheng was practicing his horse stance.
After making his adjustments, Old Jiang instructed Zhu Dazhi to continue practicing his boxing, then returned to a big tree, took his small stool, and drank a few sips of water from his tea mug.
"Lin Sheng..."
"Yes, Master," Zhang Linsheng wiped the sweat from his forehead without looking away, continuing his horse stance, focusing ahead.
"...Hmm, never mind," Old Jiang started to say something but then stopped, not continuing what he was about to say, and instead, he took another sip of water from his tea mug.
Zhang Linsheng understood that Old Jiang was probably wondering about Chen Nuo. After school started, Zhang Linsheng resumed his daily morning routine of practicing boxing in the woods with Old Jiang. But... Chen Nuo no longer came. Old Jiang had called once to ask, and Chen Nuo had said he wasn’t feeling well. When he had missed several days in a row, Old Jiang didn’t bother asking anymore. He understood that his young apprentice probably wasn’t interested in martial arts training. He still preferred Lin Sheng!
Later on, he found out that Chen Nuo had returned to school and, somehow, had even transferred to the Ba International Division. Old Jiang had inquired about it. But unluckily, he had asked Old Sun for information! Can you imagine, with Old Sun bringing up Chen Nuo, was there going to be a good expression on his face? With a single "I don’t know!", Old Sun had rebuffed Old Jiang.
What made Old Jiang feel even more bewildered was that everyone in the school had heard that Chen Nuo was coming to school in a wheelchair every day! At first, Old Jiang got a fright, thinking that his apprentice must have suffered some serious bodily affliction. But upon further investigation... it was a farce! He did come and go to school in a wheelchair, all right! But there was nothing wrong with his legs! It was even said that he had sprung up from his wheelchair to beat someone up!
A perfectly healthy person, who knows why he had taken a liking to sitting in a wheelchair? And he liked being pushed around in it too. At first, Old Jiang couldn’t believe the Chen Nuo he knew would behave in such an outlandish manner. But then he witnessed it with his own eyes.
One time when Old Jiang went to pick up Xiao Yezi, he had asked her in detail, and she said that at home, Chen Nuo also liked sitting in a wheelchair, becoming incredibly lazy and hardly willing to move an inch. He would remain seated if he could, and lie down rather than sit if possible.
That very day happened to be a weekend, and Old Jiang encountered Chen Nuo just once at the entrance of the kindergarten. The little rascal was sitting in his wheelchair! Pushing him from behind was Zhang Linsheng. When he saw Old Jiang, in the brief moment Old Jiang was taken aback, Chen Xiaoguo had leaped up from the wheelchair, grinning from ear to ear, standing before him and bowing and nodding in greeting.
At that moment, Old Jiang was so angry he wanted to kick the boy twice—Chen’s evasive moves were incredibly swift! And he still sat in a wheelchair? Was that thing, a wheelchair, something a normal person would sit in? Was it something to be played with willy-nilly?! Wasn’t this madness? Just farcical!
However, Chen Nuo did offer an explanation in the end. He said he had taken a fall a while back, and now his leg would occasionally ache, so he got a wheelchair to rest his leg for a while. It was obviously a load of nonsense! But... it wasn’t something one could meddle with! After all, he wasn’t committing any crimes, and Old Jiang wasn’t his parent. If the kid didn’t do anything else wrong and just fancied using a wheelchair... what could be done?
At the end of September, the Ba International Division preparatory class had a mock test. After several sets of English exams were done, the preparatory class was declared to have a two-day holiday.
Chen Nuo exited the classroom, and when going downstairs, his wheelchair was personally carried down by a classmate who "loved to work out." Very good, very spirited. Lifting desks was possible, so carrying a wheelchair was no issue at all.
While wheeling towards the school entrance, Chen Nuo was waiting for a ride. Turning around, he saw a group of students clad in blue and white school uniforms walking out of the main gate of No. 8 Middle School. Among a few girls, being encircled in the center, was Sun Keke.
This was the first time Chen Nuo had come face to face with her at such close quarters since returning to school. Sun Keke seemed stunned for a moment, then her face rippled with emotion, but quickly, she turned her head away, pretending to look somewhere else. However, the girls spotted Chen Nuo and subconsciously slowed down their pace. Du Xiaoyan gently nudged Sun Keke on the side.
With gritted teeth, Sun Keke still pretended not to see him, trying to quicken her pace to get past...
"Keke."
A gentle call broke through Sun Keke’s defenses, and her taut face nearly betrayed her tears. Trying hard to sniffle, holding back her trembling lips, Sun Keke looked at the boy in front of her.
Chen Nuo wore a smile; slowly, he stood up from his wheelchair and gently walked over to Sun Keke. The few girls nearby quickly dispersed but couldn’t bear to leave, so they all stood to the side with a look of mirth as they watched.
Sun Keke gritted her teeth. "Do you... have something to say?"
"Nothing, just saw you and wanted to say hi," Chen Nuo smiled, looking into Sun Keke’s eyes.
"Well... you’ve said hello, now..." Sun Keke hurriedly spoke, her gaze evading Chen Nuo.
"I heard you did well on this month’s test, third in the grade," Chen Nuo said with a smile. "Old Sun must be quite happy."
Sun Keke glanced at Chen Nuo with a complex look in her eyes. "Thank you for your concern."
"Are you heading home now? Or are you going out to have fun with your classmates?"
"... I’m going..." Sun Keke started to reply instinctively, then realizing, she coldly said, "What’s it to you."
Chen Nuo pretended not to hear Sun Keke’s deliberately cold words, smiling gently. "Just focus on your studies, get into a good university... no one in school is going to bully you, nor will anyone harass you."
Sun Keke’s eyes reddened quickly, and she whispered, "The only person who bullied me was you!"
After that, Sun Keke lowered her head and hurried past Chen Nuo, not caring about Du Xiaoyan or the others, and ran straight towards the staff dormitory area of No. 8 Middle School.
"Eat more; you’ve gotten thinner!"
A shout from Chen Nuo made the girl almost stumble. She turned back and glared harshly at Chen Nuo, then twisted her head and ran into the dormitory area.
Chen Nuo sighed, staring at the dormitory gate for a few seconds before turning to look at Du Xiaoyan and the other classmates. Well, he knew them; some he had even seen before... they had even gone to the swimming pool together once.
"So then, goodbye, classmates."
Chen Nuo waved at them nonchalantly.
Just then, a business van pulled up at the roadside. Brother Lei got out of the driver’s seat, opened the door for Chen Nuo to get on, and then folded the wheelchair and placed it in the trunk.
"Chen Nuo!"
Just as the car door was about to close, Du Xiaoyan suddenly shouted.
"Hmm?" Chen Nuo looked towards this female classmate.
"...Did you and Keke really break up?"
"..." Chen Nuo stayed silent, smilingly watching Du Xiaoyan.
Du Xiaoyan quickly walked to the side of the car, lowering her voice. "After you transferred to the Ba International Division, boys have started writing love letters to her, you know! If you... you’d better try to win Keke back properly."
"I know," Chen Nuo laughed. "I know about all those who wrote love letters: from Class Three, Class One, and two second-year high school students, right?"
Du Xiaoyan was taken aback.
Chen Nuo blinked several times. "These students, they’ve recently lost their bikes, haven’t they?"
After saying that, Chen Nuo closed the car door with a smile, leaving Du Xiaoyan standing there dumbfounded as the car slowly drove away.
The car slowly left the street where No. 8 Middle School was located; by evening, it arrived at a hot spring resort in Tangshan. Brother Lei got out first, arranged the wheelchair, and then Chen Nuo got out and settled into the wheelchair.
At the resort, Li Qingshan quickly came out to welcome him and carefully guided Chen Nuo inside.
A separate courtyard and villa. This villa had always been for Li Qingshan’s personal use, but recently it had changed ownership.
The attendant opened the courtyard door. In the yard, the hot spring pool was already filled, with steam rising.
"I had someone time the water just right," Li Qingshan said with an accommodating smile. "Calculated for around the time you’d be getting out of school. Once you arrive, you can get into the pool. The water’s neither cold nor hot, just perfect."
Chen Nuo said with a smile, "Hall Master Li has really put in the effort; these past few days I must have been disrupting your business."
"Not at all, not at all! Absolutely no disruption!"
Li Qingshan responded with a smile and, not daring to stay any longer, greeted him and left. Brother Lei also left shortly after, closing the courtyard door behind him.
Chen Nuo first went into the restroom and took off his coat, then came back out, slowly walked to the edge of the hot spring pool, stepped in, and sat down, letting the water immerse him up to his chest. The young man sat in the water of the hot spring, let out a light sigh, and pinched his knees.
Just at that moment, suddenly, the courtyard door was pushed open.
Hearing the noise, Chen Nuo’s brow slightly furrowed. He had made it very clear regarding this courtyard that once he was inside, no one was allowed to disturb him. All these days, Li Qingshan had been faithfully executing those orders.
But after a glance, Chen Nuo relaxed his brows.
"How did you get here?"
"Why can’t I be here?"
A tight-fitting cropped T-shirt revealed a slender waistline, the clear lines of her abdominal muscles, and a round, cute little belly button. Her chest area was bulging; one could vaguely make out the outline of a sports bra. That’s the good thing about natural talent... not having to wear those underwires.
Sport shorts tightly hugged her curvy and rounded backside, which from the back looked like a fully ripe peach.
Gracefully, she walked to the edge of the hot spring pool and stood there. Chen Nuo looked up at Niveer and frowned, saying, "I feel like you’re taking advantage of me."
Niveer rolled her eyes and then turned to walk away, locking the courtyard door. She came back to the poolside, delicately removed her shoes, and sat down with her feet dipped in the water.
Chen Nuo had a close look at those feet... rounded ankles, delicate skin, each toe symmetrical, straight insteps, slightly curved arches... Let’s put it this way, if one had a foot fetish, these feet could make someone drool on the spot.
But Chen Nuo only glanced once before shifting his gaze and squinting his eyes.
"Li Yingwan told you I was here, huh?" Chen Nuo hummed softly.
He felt a pair of hands touch his shoulders, gently kneading at his neck and shoulders.
SPLASH!
The sound of entering water.
Niveer had already jumped into the pool, the water soaking her clothes and clinging tightly to her body. The girl casually put her blonde hair up and glanced at the side of the pool. On a tray prepared earlier, there were a fruit plate and cutlery, and additionally, there was a snow-white porcelain vase, a bottle of wine.
Niveer squinted her eyes and took a look, casually picked up a chopstick with a flower on it, using it as a hairpin; she gathered her hair, twisted it up, and inserted the chopstick to secure it.
Chen Nuo turned to look at the little Hummingbird, his eyes circling over the girl, and then said coldly, "Do you also want to be tied up like Li Yingwan and thrown out of the courtyard?"
"You’re too heartless," Niveer smiled. "The day she phoned me, she was crying so miserably."
Noticing Chen Nuo’s narrowing eyes, Niveer quickly said, "I won’t mess around, please don’t drive me away, okay?"
"...You don’t call this messing around?" Chen Nuo looked at Niveer, her clothes soaked through and in the water, and sighed helplessly.
"At least I’m still wearing clothes. I heard that a few days ago Li Yingwan..."
At this point, Niveer gave a little shudder, feeling Chen Nuo’s eyes getting colder. She quickly shut her mouth, then with a bitter smile said, "Alright, alright, I’ll stop talking, okay?"
She paused, but ultimately couldn’t suppress her curiosity and asked, "Li Yingwan is so pretty! Those long legs, even I want to touch them. She was secretly in your bed, naked... and you’re telling me that after you discovered her, you were not tempted at all? And you wrapped her up in a blanket and threw her out? Chen Nuo, do you have some kind of problem?"
Chen Nuo sighed and suddenly stood up from the water. He then quickly stepped onto the shore, wrapped a towel around himself, and turned to walk into the house.
"Hey! You’ve only been soaking for a few minutes!"
"Then you continue soaking," Chen Nuo didn’t look back.
Niveer really wanted to stubbornly stay in the water when she suddenly saw with horror that the steam was quickly disappearing!
With a scream, Niveer jumped out of the water, only to see the entire hot spring had turned into ice!
Niveer stared for two seconds, then turned and ran into the house.
Chen Nuo was sitting there drying his hair. Without a word, Niveer walked over, took the towel from Chen Nuo’s hand, gently pressed his head against her chest, and started to softly dry his hair.
Chen Nuo frowned, ready to break free, when his face suddenly felt cool.
A teardrop fell on Chen Nuo’s cheek.
Looking up, he saw two tear tracks already on Niveer’s face.
"...Why are you crying?"
Niveer shook her head, not speaking.
Chen Nuo sighed and finally stopped resisting, allowing Niveer to gently dry his hair.
"Do you want me to blow-dry it?"
"Do you realize how ambiguous that sounds?" Chen Nuo sighed.
"..." Niveer gave Chen Nuo a sidelong glance and turned to reach for the hairdryer.
As she bent over, it appeared intentional yet unintentional, that Niveer’s elbow suddenly bumped into Chen Nuo’s leg! As if she staggered and lost her balance, the bump was quite forceful, nearly causing her to fall into Chen Nuo’s arms.
Chen Nuo didn’t move, his hands supporting his legs; he looked at Niveer with a calm gaze.
Niveer sat in Chen Nuo’s lap, her eyes wide as she looked at him, then her expression gradually changed!
Hummingbird suddenly had tears flowing from her eyes again.
She jumped out of Chen Nuo’s lap, stood in front of him, and then knelt down, hugging his knees and started sobbing loudly.
Chen Nuo sighed softly. "Did you find out by yourself... or did Li Yingwan spot the clues and discuss it with you?"
Niveer lifted her head, her face filled with sadness.
"Chen Nuo!! You’re really paralyzed, aren’t you!! WAAAH..."
"That day Li Yingwan felt something was wrong with you!! When she called me, I didn’t believe it!!"
"I tested you twice just now! When I was massaging your shoulders, I actually didn’t use any strength at all! But you pretended to enjoy it!!
"And just now, I deliberately bumped your knee!! You didn’t even have a knee-jerk reflex!!
"Chen Nuo! Are you really paralyzed? How could this have happened to you..."
Niveer was crying inconsolably.
Chen Nuo thought for a moment, then said with a bitter smile, "Yeah, why don’t you yell a little louder. I think the receptionist at the resort lobby front desk still hasn’t heard it clearly."
