"Good afternoon, everyone. We've arrived at the event venue. I truly didn't expect this surprise from the organizers. But is it really appropriate for Los Gatos Media to create a surprise by concealing things from everyone for three days?" the host on TV said to the camera.
They had just received a notification from the TV station's upper management, instructing them to continue the live broadcast, as it couldn't be canceled. However, they were also given further instructions for all reporters and hosts present at the scene.
They were explicitly told to avoid mentioning the name "Los Gatos Media" unless absolutely necessary, to prevent directly promoting the company. Secondly, whenever possible, they were to repeatedly criticize the road closures and secrecy, aiming to portray the company in a negative light.
This is why the reporters and hosts appeared so conflicted and nonsensical in their speech. On one hand, they were forbidden from mentioning Los Gatos Media, and on the other, they were supposed to relentlessly criticize Los Gatos Media. Consequently, they ended up repeating the name Los Gatos over and over again.
"Alright, let's enter the venue. As you can see, the internal space of the venue is quite spacious. Even with over 200,000 people, it doesn't feel overly crowded. However, it must be pointed out that this is the result of Los Gatos Media sealing off the entire square, over one hectare of land. This has caused many people to be unable to commute or work normally for these three days. Is this truly worth it?"
"Now, the first thing that catches our eye is an apple tree. Based on my years of experience, this is likely just a decorative item. Let's try and see if we can pick an apple!" With that, the reporter stood on tiptoe, preparing to reach for the closest apple.
Unfortunately, even standing on the tips of her high heels, she couldn't reach the apple. Just as she was about to give up, a slender arm reached out, picked the apple, and handed it to her with a smile, saying, "Eat up, these are the freshest apples!" xxs壹贰
"Thank you!" The reporter was quite polite and said thank you. She then looked at the person, noticing their unusual attire. They were wearing a rarely seen outfit, with a long sword strapped to their back and a gourd hanging from their waist.
However, this attire felt surprisingly familiar.
"Is that... Fu Shan's clothing!" The reporter quickly recalled. Wasn't this the same clothing worn by Fu Shan, Li Qiang's master, in "The Journey of the Immortals"?
"You recognized me!" The person revealed a brilliant smile. "That's right, I'm dressed as Fu Shan from 'The Journey of the Immortals.' My name is Little John, and I'm one of the staff here!"
"Mr. Fu Shan... oh, no, Mr. Little John, hello. Can this apple really be eaten?" the reporter asked with some surprise.
"Why don't you try it!" Little John said with a smile. The reporter, to her credit, took a bite right in front of the camera. It was crisp, delicious, tender, and juicy.
"It's a real apple!" The reporter gasped. Eating an apple in Times Square isn't unusual. But the issue here was that this apple was clearly picked by someone with their own hands from the tree, still attached to the branch.
This meant it was a genuine apple tree, and there were at least 500 similar apple trees at the Times Square venue in New York. Los Gatos Group had actually transported 500 apple trees to Times Square. This was astonishing!
Regardless of anything else, the transportation costs alone would have exceeded a million dollars. Los Gatos Group was truly wealthy!
"That's right, these are apple trees we transported from Delaware!" Little John explained with a smile to the TV camera. "Our chairman visited Delaware a while ago, and the local farmers told our chairman that their apples were delicious but little-known, hoping we could help them sell their apples."
"So, our chairman directly transported 500 live apple trees from the area, allowing everyone in Times Square, the heart of the city, to taste the freshest apples!"
"Also, please rest assured, we will send these fruit trees back to the farms in Delaware. We hope that after tasting these apples today, everyone will visit Delaware to try them in the future. They are truly delicious apples!" With these words, at least all the farmers in Delaware would express their greatest and most sincere gratitude to the Los Gatos Group.
"Could you please continue to introduce the situation here with us?" The host felt that this person named Little John spoke and acted very well, so she invited him to continue the introduction.
Little John did not refuse. He then led them to taste the delicious food at the event, saying as they walked, "We have provided a total of 486 different kinds of food for everyone to enjoy throughout Times Square!"
"This includes traditional American foods like apple pie, hamburgers, and steak, which everyone can eat daily, as well as delicacies we've sourced from around the world. Many of these are made fresh on-site!"
"I'd like to primarily recommend three dishes: Turkish kebabs from Turkey, and two dishes from China – one is the Shandong-style Jianbing, and the other is Nanchang mixed rice noodles from Nanchang, China. These are what I consider the most delicious foods, though this is just my personal recommendation and doesn't represent everyone's taste!" Little John smiled and introduced to the camera.
Next, they were naturally led to taste these foods.
However, whether it was the Jianbing, Nanchang mixed rice noodles, or the Turkish kebabs, there were long queues at every stall. As they were made fresh on-site, the speed was not fast.
However, as an employee, Little John, along with the reporter, used a small privilege to obtain portions of food preferentially from the staff for the entire production crew to taste.
The Turkish kebabs were as expected, as this food is commonly seen in the US and within everyone's expectations.
However, the Jianbing and Nanchang mixed rice noodles were different.
The former prompted the reporter to eat half of the Jianbing she was holding on camera, exclaiming while eating how delicious it was.
As for the latter, the Nanchang mixed rice noodles, after a few bites, the reporter kept looking for water to quench the spiciness. Finally, Little John helpfully provided a bottle of milk to help solve the problem.
However, afterward, the reporter, not to be deterred, continued to eat several more bites of the Nanchang mixed rice noodles, proving that the more it hurt, the more she loved it.
Next, Little John led the reporter and her crew to participate in a few small games. One particularly interesting game required the reporter to write numbers from 1 to 100 using Arabic numerals. If they could complete it without any mistakes, they would receive a doll.
The reporter initially exclaimed that this game was incredibly simple and guaranteed to be flawless. However, when she reached 32, she made a mistake, which was extremely embarrassing.
Afterward, Little John was about to take the reporter to experience the process of signing up for a Los Gatos TV membership. At this point, the reporter, who had been having too much fun, quickly shook her head and refused, fearing that tonight would be her last day working at the television station.
It was at this moment that the sound system on the scene suddenly began to play again, and a figure appeared in the center of the main stage at the heart of Times Square, bathed in radiant light.
"Who is this person? They look somewhat familiar!" the reporter mused unconsciously upon seeing the figure. However, because she was still a distance away from the main stage, she couldn't clearly see who the person on stage was.
Fortunately, this situation didn't last long. As the musical intro played and the person on stage began to sing, she instantly recognized who it was.
It wasn't just the host who recognized them; almost all the audience members present at the scene recognized them at the same time. This was unmistakably Michael Jackson's voice.
Neither the audience present nor those watching the live broadcast on TV had ever dreamed of hearing Michael Jackson's voice at an opening ceremony, let alone witnessing him perform live.
But this was the reality. Michael Jackson appeared in a situation and at an occasion that no one had anticipated, beginning his performance in front of the television cameras.
Moreover, he didn't just sing one song; he performed a total of six songs.
The opening song was his most well-known hit, "Heal the World." The following four songs were also all his classic hits, creating an unimaginably joyous atmosphere at the venue.
The final song was his newest, the instrumental piece specially created for the vivo music phone. Of course, this time it was accompanied by appropriate lyrics. His voice was so heavenly and beautiful that countless people at the scene were mesmerized and captivated.
After Michael Jackson finished his performance and left the stage amidst the cheers of all the audience members, a figure in white, from where no one knew, gracefully floated onto the stage.
That's right, this person floated up. They weren't using wires or a parachute. They simply drifted down from the sky onto the stage. What first met everyone's eyes was a back view.
On this person's back was a long sword.
The person's body trembled slightly, and the long sword on their back actually rose into the air. They then leaped into the sky, intending to land the sword beneath their feet. The person then steadily stood on the sword, floating in the air, looking at the audience with a smile.
"Li Qiang! It's Li Qiang!"
"Li Qiang! It's really Li Qiang!!" When the audience saw the person's appearance, they were ecstatic, believing him to be the male protagonist of 'The Journey of the Immortals': Li Qiang!
