Chapter 884: Chapter 884: [Extra] Don’t Be Afraid, I’m With You
In the blink of an eye, the National Day holiday arrived. With no classes on the afternoon before the holiday, Ning An returned to her residence and began packing her luggage, before sending Little Cutie back to the Sheng Family.
Although there is a pet caretaker robot at home, a robot is still just a machine, only responsible for feeding and cleaning up. If Little Cutie gets sick or any other accident occurs, the robot won’t be able to handle it.
They’re leaving for quite a long time this time, so it’s safer to send her home.
Upon hearing that she was going on a trip with Xu Weiran during the holiday, her grandmother, aside from reminding her to be careful when going out, encouraged her to enjoy herself and assured her that Little Cutie would be well taken care of.
With a seven-day National Holiday, Ning An decided to spend all seven days with someone special, to prevent that someone from even being jealous of a kitten.
Early the next morning, the two went to the campsite they visited last time. When they first came last time, the campsite had just been built, and it was still in trial operation, so there were very few people. This time, there were noticeably more visitors.
Moreover, compared to last time, the campsite had added several new activities, as well as more canopies and wooden cabins intended for guests to rent overnight.
Due to the significant temperature difference between day and night on the mountain in October, Ning An chose to rent a wooden cabin instead of a tent.
However, since many people were camping during the holiday and the two of them hadn’t made a reservation in advance, the staff informed them that all the cabins had been rented out.
The two could only settle for second best and decided to continue renting a tent.
Just after paying the deposit and preparing to leave, to their surprise, a nearby member of the staff received a phone call and then stopped them, saying: "Wait a moment, a guest can’t make it due to a last-minute issue and wants to cancel their reservation for a cabin. Do you want it?"
"Yes!"
Ning An agreed almost without hesitation.
After completing the registration, they received the key to the cabin from the staff.
On the way to check out the cabin, Ning An remembered there was only one cabin, and she wondered how she and Xu Weiran would sleep at night.
Fortunately, the cabin was originally reserved by a family, and it was a suite with two beds inside.
Though space was rather small and the beds a bit narrow, it was still better than having just one bed, avoiding any awkwardness.
Moreover, despite its size, it was complete with all the necessary facilities.
Besides the beds, there was also a bathroom and a balcony, where they could sit in the cabin to drink tea and chat.
Moreover, there was a glass skylight on the roof facing the beds, allowing them to lie down and gaze at the stars at night.
After placing their luggage in the cabin, they planned to stroll around.
Compared to last time, the campsite had added several new entertainment projects, and the previously unopened ones were now operational, alongside a newly constructed glass skywalk in the air.
Ning An was quite interested and pulled Weiran along to buy tickets to go up.
However, once up there, she discovered the skywalk was taller than she imagined, with completely tempered glass beneath her feet. As Ning An hesitated stepping out, a hand reached from behind her, grasping her hand and said, "Don’t worry, I’m here with you!"
Ning An suddenly felt her heart steadied, and she looked up at the other person with a smile before stepping forward confidently.
The glass skywalk was roughly as high as a seven or eight-story building, offering a view of the entire campsite below.
The mountain breeze blew gently, seeming to sweep away all troubles, suddenly brightening her spirits.
At this time of year, the leaves on the mountain trees were somewhat yellow, but the camp as a whole still looked very green.
Ning An looked across and noticed there were actually people holding a wedding in the camp.
