Chapter 188: Getting teased by woman?
A fight between women?
No matter which universe or which world you live in... when it comes to a fight between women... as a man, you’d better shut your damn mouth and... if possible, run as far and as fast as you can.
Don’t care about the consequences of your actions... running was not cowardice!
After all... your life is more important than anything!!
As long as you are alive... You can get through this shit!!
And Leo absolutely believed in this strategy. After all, he had been dealing with this kind of hell ever since he started working in the bar... women arguing, glaring, fighting with words sharper than daggers.
But anyway, he learned this lesson the hard way, in fact.
So... when Gorgon and Ophis made their first contact in a fight... the first thing Leo did was turn to the side and pretend to be blind.
He avoided looking at them completely, as if he were just another background character with nothing to do with the storm that was about to explode right in front of him!
Gorgon stared at Ophis. Ophis, in return, wore a haughty expression as she flicked her small twin-tail hair, a gesture sharp enough to be an insult in itself, and said, "What are you staring at? If you’re done flapping your lips, just walk away like a good girl..."
Gorgon’s smile twitched, but she kept her poise. She turned her gaze to Leo, who was obviously ignoring them like a guilty child pretending he wasn’t caught in the crossfire, before turning back to Ophis and asking with deliberate calmness,
"First of all... who are you?"
Leo gulped inwardly. ’Here it comes,’ he thought, every instinct screaming to crawl under the table.
Ophis shrugged, "Who am I? What a brainless, mannerless girl you are..." She tilted her head, eyes narrowing in disapproval as she shook it slowly. "You should introduce yourself before demanding another’s name... that’s what real manners are."
Everyone blinked, exchanging glances with wide eyes, some stifling laughter, others shocked. For someone her size, Ophis spoke with more maturity than half the students combined.
It was absurd and impressive all at once.
Gorgon’s lips curved slightly as she muttered, "Pardon my rudeness... I thought brats nowadays were unruly and did whatever they pleased. So, I assumed someone who sat in my usual place wouldn’t even know what manners are. For that, I apologise." Her sly smile, however, made the apology sound more like mockery than remorse.
Ophis’s frown deepened.
"Pff—!!"
Someone in the class almost burst out laughing, but instantly froze when Ophis’s glare sliced toward them like a blade.
Ophis turned back and locked her gaze on Gorgon, who was now smirking with open provocation. "Tsk. If you want a seat, just sit in that empty one," she said, pointing lazily toward the table beside her.
Gorgon, however, shook her head slowly, like a teacher lecturing a stubborn child. "That’s not how it works, little girl. This place belongs to me. And if anything, it’s you who sat without my permission."
Ophis’s frown sharpened. She could feel it now—this girl wasn’t just randomly arguing.
She was doing this on purpose.
Why?
Why this seat of all places?
And then, a memory flickered in Ophis’s mind—she remembered this girl trying to strike up a conversation with Leo, too... too close, too friendly.
’Was she interested in him as well?’
A slow, knowing smirk spread on her lips. She leaned back, her voice deliberately loud for the whole class to hear. "Sorry, without my beloved, I would be sad... and terribly lonely."
The word beloved
detonated in the air like a bomb.Leo flinched violently, his eyes darting to her with a face caught between shock and horror.
The class stirred—gasps and murmurs.
Gorgon’s smile faltered. "Beloved? What do you mean?" Her brows knitted as she glanced around the room, searching for someone—anyone—that Ophis could be referring to.
Someone her age, someone obvious.
However, Ophis smirked as she glanced at Leo and blushed, "Of course... my darling Leo~"
"...."
The entire class froze in horror... mouths half open, eyes wide. Leo’s face turned pale, even more horrified than anyone else. "W-What are you talking about?"
He needed to come up with something—fast! Something believable enough to survive this disaster.
Leo gulped hard, "Y-You are my little sister. Of course, I am your b-be-beloved," he stammered, eyes scanning the room nervously, desperate to see if anyone was buying the lie.
Sure enough... the tension cracked. Everyone sighed in relief, some shoulders sagging, others exchanging nods as if the world had just been saved from apocalypse.
Ophis blinked, her expression shifting instantly. She pouted slightly, lips curling into annoyance, her eyes narrowing on Leo. ’Little sister? I am older than you, bastard,’ she thought bitterly.
However, Gorgon was not buying it, "Little sister? In that case... what is she doing here again? Shouldn’t she be in her own class?..." Her lips curved into a mocking smirk as she added, "Children’s class, that is."
A vein popped on Ophis’s forehead, her body stiffening as she nearly lashed out at this smug woman who dared to disturb what she called their together.
Ophis’s sharp gaze flicked to Leo, silently demanding him to spit out another shitty lie to keep her claim intact.
Leo shook his head in disbelief, his inner voice screaming. ’Why am I getting dragged into this shit?’ He grit his teeth before forcing words out.
"She... she is kind of a genius. That’s why she skipped a few classes."
"Oh? I didn’t hear about anyone like that." Gorgon raised an eyebrow in mock surprise. The rest of the class also stirred with murmurs, some half-believing, others doubting.
Ophis smirked with renewed arrogance, flipping her hair with a theatrical gesture. "Of course you wouldn’t. After all... I am one in a billion!" Her voice rang with pride, and the smug tilt of her chin made the classroom buzz louder.
Gorgon, however, only blinked. She turned to Leo, "You couldn’t even lie properly... sigh." She let out an exaggerated sigh of disappointment before turning her focus to Ophis,
"Listen, girl. I am interested and like your big brother... and I need to get closer to him, to understand what he likes... and what he doesn’t."
"..."
Again, silence swallowed the class whole.
Eyes widened, jaws dropped.
Surprised?
Shocked?
Maybe even scandalised.
Did Leo just bag the gorgeous transfer student—the one who had only arrived days ago?
Leo coughed awkwardly, more surprised than anyone, while Ophis’s teeth ground together audibly. Her fists clenched on the table. "But I like him more!" she shouted, voice quivering with anger and possessiveness.
Gorgon smirked like a predator circling prey. "Yes, you do... but that’s as a sister. I, however, like him as a woman. And now you understand the priority, don’t you?"
Ophis’s frown turned deadly, her aura darkening as her voice dropped with venom. "He already has girlfriends... not one... but two!!"
Leo facepalmed so hard it echoed, dragging his hand down his face as he felt the room collapse into chaos. The entire class froze as if lightning had struck them.
Two girlfriends?
Freaking TWO!!!
People could barely keep one girlfriend, but this freaking guy had two?
The fuck!!
Yet, Gorgon’s reaction was not outrage. Instead, she smirked. "So what? If it were only one, I’d be worrying. But..." She gave Leo a long sideways glance, her eyes gleaming mischievously, and added, "Since it was two... the possibility just increased to one hundred percent!"
What possibility was she talking about?
No one knew. But Ophis was already boiling. She finally understood why Valra had been annoyed with this bitch. Every word from her mouth felt like poison.
"Oi... I’m telling you," Ophis snapped, "he is booked!"
Gorgon shrugged with infuriating calmness. "And I’m telling you... He is just booked, not occupied."
Ophis’s lips twitched furiously, her nails digging into the desk.
And then Gorgon added fuel to the fire. "And it’s not like you have any right to object... after all, you are just his little sister."
Snap!
That word broke something inside Ophis.
A wicked smile spread across her face as she crossed one leg over the other with deliberate grace, her voice dripping venom. "Little sister? Who said that?"
"Your brother?" Gorgon answered smoothly, pointing straight at Leo.
Leo flinched violently, his instincts screaming danger.
Ophis smirked wider, her eyes glowing with mischief.
"Brother? He is more than that... he is my lover~"
Leo’s face morphed into absolute horror, "W-What the hell are you talking about?!"
Ophis leaned forward with a sly expression, her tone teasing, cruel, and far too loud.
"Oh, come now, little boy... Even though we bathed together just a few days ago and...
You even made me suck your—"
Before she could finish that abomination of a sentence, Leo snapped. He grabbed Ophis like she weighed nothing more than a ragdoll and hurled her straight out of the classroom door.
Thud!
The impact echoed, and without hesitation, Leo slammed the door shut and locked it tight.
Ophis blinked in disbelief, then slammed her fist on the door with sharp cracks, trying to force it open.
Inside, Leo’s face was red with rage and embarrassment. "You better get your damn ass to class first! L-Little sister!" he shouted, voice trembling with frustration.
Ophis pouted with an annoyed face, glaring at the door. But as she turned, she realised she had let her temper get the better of her again.
With a sigh, she muttered darkly to herself.... That green-haired bitch was surely going to die if Ophis didn’t hold back one day.
Her heavy steps echoed down the hall as she walked toward her brat-classroom. "So snotty..." she grumbled, her expression sour.
Meanwhile, Leo watched through the window as Ophis left. He sighed deeply and turned back to the stunned students, forcing an awkward smile.
"She’s just playing around, you know... little bratty sisters." With that excuse, he dragged himself back to his seat.
The students, however, remained frozen in disbelief.
Their thoughts raced. That girl... what did she just say she sucked?
So curious.... So terribly curious!
So horrified?
So much so that some of the students even wondered if they should report this madness to the police?
Meanwhile, Leo sighed, rubbing his forehead as a headache built up. He almost wondered why every day of his life had to feel like torture. Shaking his head, he tried to focus when—
"I didn’t bring books. Can you share with me?"
Gorgon’s voice came smoothly, and before he realised it, she had already slid into the seat right beside him. Her shoulder brushed so close to his that he could feel her warmth through the air.
Leo’s lips twitched. "...Sorry, but my girlfriend hates me being with another girl, so..."
"Oh? It’s fine."
Leo sighed in relief. At least she seemed to understand something... or so he thought.
"Just think of me as a boy."
"..."
Leo blinked blankly at her. She gave him a cheeky smile that made it impossible to know if she was serious or just messing with him.
His lips twitched harder. "See, girl, I have no interest in you. I already have girlfriends, and I need to take care of them first. Even if you try to come—"
"Wait, wait! What are you talking about?" Gorgon tilted her head, her expression full of innocent confusion.
Leo frowned. "Of course, what else? You loving me—"
"Nope!" She interrupted him instantly, crossing her arms in front of her chest and forming a big ’X’ with her hands.
"Huh?"
"I said I like you, not that I ’love’ you. Haha... so funny that you mistook that." She leaned closer, her eyes sparkling mischievously. "That makes you so cute."
Before Leo could react, she reached forward and pinched his cheek. His face reddened instantly. Then, without hesitation, she plucked his notebook from his bag, set it on the desk, and opened it as if they were naturally sharing it.
Leo stared at her, utterly confused. This girl... honestly, she was really weird to him. Impossible to read, impossible to predict.
Just then—
"WHO LOCKED THE DOOR?!!"
The teacher’s furious shout thundered through the classroom door.
Leo froze on the spot, his entire face turning pale. Slowly, every single head in the classroom turned toward him.
Day could not get any worse than this...
That’s what he thought until—
!!!!
He flinched violently when he felt a soft touch sliding across his thigh. His body jolted like electricity ran through him.
"Well, if you want me to love you... You better show what you got... Fu~Fu~"
Gorgon asked with a sly little smile, her head resting casually on one hand while the other hand shamelessly caressed his thigh.
Her voice dripped with teasing sweetness.
Leo nearly died on the spot.
