Chapter 218 He Still Compromised

In the bathroom, Su Yue stood under the shower, lost in thought.

This seemed to be the first time a threatening figure had appeared in their relationship.

She didn't know how to handle it; the only thing she could think of was to escape.

If Chi Yiran persisted with Chen Ziming, and Chen Ziming, out of guilt, remained ambiguous with her.

She definitely wouldn't stand for it, nor did she want to.

That day on the rooftop, what Chen Ziming and Feng Jingjing had said was true: if she knew he no longer loved her…

Or rather, even if he did love her, but had to indulge Chi Yiran’s deliberate actions, she would leave beforehand.

Just as she was lost in thought, letting the water stream over her body from her head, a tall figure flashed in, startling her.

“Why are you showering for so long?” He directly pulled her into his embrace, pressing their bodies together.

She heard the displeasure in his voice and, unsure how to explain, could only lower her gaze, remaining silent.

Seeing her like this, Chen Ziming felt more vexed but was afraid of scaring her further by getting angry.

After a moment's thought, he lowered his head to kiss her lips.

Su Yue's heart leaped, but she didn’t refuse. However, as his hands began to wander restlessly, she broke free from him.

“Not here,” she said softly, her face flushed, head bowed.

This refusal seemed to provoke him. His body paused, and then one hand from behind her pinned her arms, and he leaned down, close to her ear, his voice mere breath as he said:

“I want it here.”

With that, the kiss, with a possessive undertone, landed on her neck.

The shower lasted over an hour. Su Yue was almost drained, only able to sit on the stool as he blew her hair dry.

Unexpectedly, after her hair was dry, he squatted in front of her, his expression slightly cold as he looked at her for a few seconds, then carried her to the bed.

“Chen Ziming, are you crazy?” Realizing what he intended again, she panicked and pushed him away, her eyes filled with disbelief.

His eyes grew darker and deeper in the backlight. He leaned down, brushing his nose against her cheek, and whispered:

“Baby, don’t push me away.”

He knew too well how to get what he wanted.

Su Yue’s resistance ceased with his words. In her flustered state, she couldn't think much further, letting him have his way.

Another session of intoxicating indulgence. httpδ:/m.kuAisugg.nět

When it was all over, she no longer had the energy to consider anything. Closing her eyes, she snuggled into his arms and fell into a deep sleep.

Chen Ziming, however, was wide awake. He lowered his head, inhaling the scent of her freshly showered hair, a restlessness rising within him.

He knew her so well, guessing that she must be thinking of leaving again.

That was why he couldn’t resist seeking a sense of security in this way.

In front of her, he found it difficult to control himself.

Su Yue woke up the next day around ten in the morning.

The person beside her was long gone. Knowing he usually woke up early, she didn't think much of it. She endured the soreness in her body, stretched, and carefully got out of bed to go to the bathroom to wash up.

After getting ready and leaving the bedroom, she saw Chen Ziming drinking coffee at the bar.

“Awake?” His tone was somewhat flat as he asked her.

“Mm.” Su Yue sensed his off mood and responded without much enthusiasm.

The housekeeper, however, heard her movement, poked her head out from the kitchen, and greeted her warmly, telling her to go to the dining room for breakfast.

The entire morning was filled with this subtle chill, which put her in a very bad mood.

But unexpectedly, just as she was about to find him to talk, he spoke first.

“Yueyue, come here.”

After lunch, the housekeepers left. Chen Ziming went to the tea table to prepare some tea. While waiting, he finally spoke to her in his former gentle manner.

Her heart gave a slight lurch, guessing he was about to discuss Chi Yiran.

She actually didn’t want to bring it up. Earlier, she had just wanted to find some cheerful topic to liven up the atmosphere.

But since he had called her, she obediently walked over and sat down in front of him.

Chen Ziming looked up at her. Seeing that she had no intention of pursuing the matter, he finally conceded.

“I’ve blocked Chi Yiran.”

He poured her a cup of tea, his voice extremely calm.
