Chapter 114 Find Zheng Yan For Me

Chen Ziming saw the missed calls on his phone when he went to the police rest stop for water.

With a faint smile, he dialed back.

But no one answered.

He checked the time, it was already past nine. Was she still busy?

He hung up and noticed a few more missed calls.

One of them was from Liang Mu.

His heart sank slightly, and he called back.

“Officer Chen, have you contacted Yueyue?” Her voice was anxious.

“What do you mean?” His voice instantly deepened.

His hand reached for the gun at his waist, unconsciously tightening his grip.

“Jin Yan… didn’t tell you?”

The man’s expression grew increasingly grim with each word from the other end of the phone. He continued talking while striding towards the police station.

At the hotel, Vincent was in a complete panic.

He hadn’t waited for the two girls to take pictures. When he tried to call them, he found his phone was lost.

He wanted to check the surveillance near the girls’ room, only to discover that the cameras were broken tonight.

After much thought, he tremblingly called Jin Yan.

Jin Yan immediately exploded and drove over.

Liang Mu was also on her way.

When Su Yue called her, Liang Mu was attending a banquet with her mother-in-law, and her phone was on silent.

When she saw the missed calls, she was a bit confused. She called back, but no one answered.

So she tried to ask Chen Ziming, but he didn't answer either.

Thus, she called Jin Yan and only then learned that Su Yue and her friend were missing from the hotel.

“Are you a damn useless piece of shit! Didn’t I tell you! Keep a close eye! Serve them well! And you lost them!”

After ending the call with Chen Ziming, and driving for about ten minutes, Liang Mu arrived at the hotel.

In the hotel lobby, Jin Yan was kicking Vincent, cursing as he did.

No one dared to watch.

The latter crouched in a corner, enduring the outburst, not daring to utter a sound.

“Calm down,” Liang Mu pulled him back.

Jin Yan looked at Liang Mu, his eyes still fierce.

But he wasn’t impatient with her as he usually was.

Instead, he spoke with a slight tremor, “They’re gone. I’m finished. Chen Ziming will kill me.”

“It’s not that bad. Let me think.” She was also flustered but took a deep breath, forcing herself to calm down.

“What should we do, Liang Mu? We’ve searched everywhere, and we can’t find them. Such a beautiful young girl, where could she have gone? What if something bad happened…”

“Did you call the police?” Liang Mu suddenly asked.

Jin Yan blinked and shook his head.

Liang Mu frowned and glared at him. She picked up her phone, only to see Chen Ziming calling again.

“I’m on my way. I’ve already arranged for officers from a nearby station to start searching,” the voice on the other end was low, hoarse, and extremely dangerous.

“Okay, I’ve arrived too. I’ll wait here,” Liang Mu said, her heart pounding, trying her best to reply in a calm voice.

“Control Zheng Yan. If she’s not there, have Jin Yan find her.”

She was somewhat surprised by his arrangement but suddenly understood everything.

“Okay.”

“Tell Jin Yan that she must be here when I arrive.”

Then the call ended.

“Is it Chen Ziming?” Jin Yan’s heart pounded as he saw her expression, his legs feeling weak.

“Yes, the police are arranged to come. He asked you to find Zheng Yan.”

Jin Yan suddenly realized.

“Damn it! How could I not have thought of that! Wait!” He immediately called Zheng Yan.

“Hello?” The woman’s smug, lazy voice answered the phone.

“What the hell did you do to Su Yue?!” he cursed directly.

“Who is Su Yue? I don’t know her.”

Just as Jin Yan was about to get angry, Liang Mu snatched the phone, pressed the record button, and then said with a hint of coldness:

“The surveillance footage has captured it. The police are on their way, and Chen Ziming will be here soon too. Zheng Yan, you can’t escape.”

Her voice was steady, carrying anger and pressure.

There was a clear silence from the other end.

Then, she chuckled and said, “Don’t try to trick me. The cameras are broken, I know that.”

“How can you be so sure they’re broken?” Liang Mu asked calmly.

No one spoke again.

A bead of sweat appeared on Liang Mu’s forehead.

She was gambling, betting that Zheng Yan would show her guilt and reveal a flaw.

She knew Zheng Yan well – hot-tempered, acting purely on impulse, and never thinking things through.

Indeed, after a few seconds, the voice on the other end became flustered, feigning composure:

“So what? I don’t like her. I just taught her a lesson. So what?”
