Chen Ziming’s lips curved up ever so slightly as he watched the girl acting spoiled and bold.
“I’ll go change.” His voice remained devoid of emotion.
“Can I watch you change?”
The only response he gave was a soft hum.
He didn’t stop her, though.
And so, Su Yue happily followed him, walking unapologetically into the police rest area.
“Shall I unbutton your shirt for you?” After skillfully locking the door and drawing the curtains, she threw herself into his arms, looking up at him with a grin.
The man’s eyes flickered. “Are you sure your hands are soft enough to unbutton it right now?”
He was being passive-aggressive again.
“If you put it like that, I’ll be unhappy.” Su Yue felt a pang of annoyance, so she put her hands on her hips and put on a stern face.
Chen Ziming raised an eyebrow, waiting for her to continue.
“Why didn’t you proactively get me water, why didn’t you immediately unscrew the cap for me?”
Her words indeed surprised the man in front of her, but he soon couldn’t help but laugh.
“What are you laughing at? Why aren’t you answering me, hmm?” Su Yue huffed.
But she too couldn't help but smile.
She walked over again, wrapped her arms around him, and tilted her head up.
“I want a kiss.” She stood on tiptoe, pouting, her eyes innocent and guileless.
It was hard for anyone to refuse.
Director Chen’s Adam’s apple bobbed, but he still averted his gaze.
“Behave yourself.” His voice was a little hoarse.
“Can’t I even get one kiss?” Su Yue drooped her eyebrows, looking quite pitiful.
An incredibly ambiguous and captivating atmosphere flowed through the air.
The girl tiptoed again, but the person holding her was too tall, making it impossible to reach for a kiss.
Just as her toes began to ache and despair crept in—
The man finally lowered his head and gently kissed her lips.
It was truly gentle.
And a quick peck.
This clearly did not satisfy Reporter Su’s desires. She furrowed her brow and mumbled, “You’re just going through the motions.”
“It’s better than nothing,” he said, pulling his arms away from around him and turning to open the locker.
In the brief moment he turned, a genuine smile revealed itself.
She was so easily swayed.
He thought about making things more difficult for her, to make her cherish him more.
But with just a little bit of her coyness, he couldn’t resist.
At this rate, he suspected he’d be taken home by her very soon.
He thought this as he unbuttoned his shirt.
Unexpectedly, the girl squeezed back through, her slender body wedged between him and the locker. It wasn't even crowded.
“If you keep fooling around, we’ll be late for dinner.” Chen Ziming frowned, deliberately feigning displeasure.
“Do you really think I’m here for dinner?” Su Yue’s smile was incredibly sweet. She reached out and tugged his collar.
With a slight pull, she forced the man to lean down.
Without giving him a chance to retort, she took the initiative and kissed him.
The man’s brows furrowed even deeper, but he didn’t resist, letting her have her way.
Indulging her in this way.
He had absolutely no bottom line.
…
When Reporter Su had kissed enough, she let go of him, gasping for breath for a few moments, and looked at him.
“Are you blushing?” She felt surprised and stood on tiptoe to look closely.
Chen Ziming didn’t shy away from her scrutiny. After she had confirmed, and as she was about to speak again, he reached out and expressionlessly pressed down on her head.
“Minor acts of harassment will be met with administrative penalties, while severe cases can constitute the crime of indecency, punishable by detention of not less than five days and not more than ten days.”
Su Yue: …
“Teasing a police officer is an aggravating factor.”
Su Yue: …
“Teasing a police officer working in the Public Security Administration, Reporter Su, you’re certainly looking at a hefty sentence.”
He deliberately emphasized the word "sentence," and Su Yue immediately understood his meaning.
She rolled her eyes, finally willing to release him from her embrace and stand aside. Unable to resist, she mimicked his sarcastic tone.
“Truly, turnabout is fair play. The world is going downhill, people’s hearts are not what they used to be. What goes around, comes around, it just hasn’t happened yet.”
“I wonder who it was that enticed me to flirt in the first place.”
“I don’t remember who it was that, once they had me, wanted to hang onto me and kiss me endlessly.”
“My only disadvantage is my ignorance of the law. If I had known it could be handled this way, none of this would have happened later.”
“Hmph.”
So what if it’s about arguing back?
Who couldn’t do that?
