Xu Zimo had already felt something was off earlier. Though the old man’s strength was decent, from any perspective, he didn’t seem to be the true beast of good and evil. He had overlooked the little girl in the inn.
“Big brother, are you going to be locked up like the others?” the little girl asked innocently.
“Let me see how strong you really are,” Xu Zimo replied.
Spiritforce surged around him as he struck with his palm toward the girl.
With a loud boom, the white misty space trembled violently.
The little girl didn’t move, but her figure instantly shifted aside, dodging Xu Zimo’s attack without effort.
“You better stay here,” she said with a twisted smile.
A powerful aura erupted from her, vast and overwhelming like a tidal wave.
“Immortal Sovereign,” Xu Zimo murmured, sensing her power.
She was condensed entirely from faith power. Though her appearance remained the same, the pressure she gave off made her seem far more imposing and majestic.
She raised her hand, and with the weight of an ancient force, it came crashing down from above.
Xu Zimo could feel the pressure. He slowly drew the Shadow Tyrant blade from his back.
He slashed upward with immense force. The sharp blade aura collided with the beast’s palm.
Another boom echoed. The surrounding mist scattered, and the blade aura was instantly destroyed.
The palm, however, continued descending, unstoppable.
An Immortal Sovereign, this was perhaps the strongest opponent Xu Zimo had ever faced alone.
As the palm fell, Xu Zimo stood unmoving in the center.
The hand, carrying its unstoppable force, shattered layers of space and landed squarely on him.
With a deafening crash, the explosion shook the entire space.
Chaos, meanwhile, had torn the monster formed by the old man’s transformation into pieces.
Even the creatures in the cages looked toward the center of the mist, eager to know the outcome of the battle.
The beast of good and evil frowned. She was certain her palm had hit Xu Zimo dead on, a strike powerful enough to destroy a God Meridian Realm cultivator.
As the mist cleared, a figure emerged faintly.
Xu Zimo slowly raised his head. His eyes were filled with intense demonic energy.
The demonic aura soared, piercing through the mist, locking onto the beast with dominating, endless force.
When the mist fully cleared, Xu Zimo was standing unharmed in the center.
He had activated the Hell-Suppressing Demon Physique. His skin was covered in black-purple patterns, strange and eerie, with tendrils of black demonic energy spiraling around him and reaching into the sky.
It looked as if this demonic aura would consume the entire space.
Xu Zimo stepped out of the mist like an ancient god-demon, his skin radiating power.
He slowly lifted the Shadow Tyrant blade and said, “It’s been a long time since I had such an exhilarating fight.”
“What battle physique is that?” the beast asked, frowning.
“You don’t need to know,” Xu Zimo replied, then vanished and charged.
Chaos, meanwhile, was helping Ye Feiyang break free from the cage.
The blade sliced through the silent void, infused with creation power and overwhelming demonic force.
Xu Zimo unleashed the Nineteenth Forms of Dao-Seeking. Each move flowed into the next, seamless and unrelenting.
The blade aura was airtight, combined with his Heavenly Tribulation God Eyes, giving the beast no room to retaliate.
…
Xu Zimo also came to respect the strength of an Immortal Sovereign. Every stage after this was truly formidable.
Even under such pressure, the beast could still hang on, albeit barely.
“You can’t beat me,” the beast roared. “Why not make a deal?”
“No need,” Xu Zimo shook his head.
The prolonged fight had left the space in ruins, on the verge of collapse.
Thunder rumbled atop Shadow Tyrant, and a torrent of magma surged up from below.
At that moment, a mysterious force surged from Xu Zimo’s body.
He activated the Nine-Revolutions God-Tower Physique, a battle body ranked in the top ten among the Hundred Great Physiques.
It wasn’t just the strongest for soul defense; it was also among the best for soul attacks.
Within this battle body were nine layers of defense, each guarded by an ancient beast soul.
As he activated the Nine Towers, and clashed again with the beast, a spectral wolf emerged from his forehead and lunged at the beast.
It was the Howling Sun-Wolf, the beast soul of the first tower.
Caught off guard, the beast was struck directly in the mind by the soul attack.
“You know soul techniques too?” the beast roared in pain.
The attack threw it off completely. Already at a disadvantage, it now had no will to continue fighting.
It turned to flee, but Xu Zimo chased relentlessly. Before long, the beast was covered in wounds.
“You’ve gone too far!” the beast screamed.
“Are you even human?” Xu Zimo chuckled.
“I’ll remember this shame!” the beast roared.
With that, it vanished into the void.
Xu Zimo tried to follow, but the entire space had been sealed. He could break it, but it would take time, and by then, the beast would be long gone.
“In the end, this is its home ground,” Xu Zimo said, smiling.
Though the beast had escaped, the entire independent space was now under Xu Zimo’s control.
He looked around at the thousands of cages and the beings trapped within.
Although the beast used them for cultivation, it was undeniable, they were all vicious and evil to the core.
As for how to deal with them, Xu Zimo already had an idea.
Releasing them wasn’t an option. These were all dangerous criminals.
He looked over at Ye Feiyang, who was still struggling against the belief seal on his cage.
