Regretful Lovelife

Chapter 505 - Chaos, Time To Entertain A Guest

"Oh? And then?" Xu Zimo asked.

"No matter what, taking something from our Divine Sun Sacred Ground is wrong. And you even tried to kill my disciple. Do you really think no one in our Sacred Ground will do anything?" the old man said coldly.

"The younger generation of the Divine Sun Sacred Ground really is lacking. You beat the young ones, so now the old have to step in," Xu Zimo said with a smile. "As for stealing, treasures of the world go to those worthy of them. Didn’t you also rob those four demons of the Southern Heavens, blaming them for wiping out a village just so you could go after them?"

"Sharp tongue. Say whatever you like. But with me here today, you won’t cause much of a stir," the old man said lightly. "Hand over the Soft-Water Pearl, and come back with me to the Divine Sun Sacred Ground. Your True Martial Sacred Ground can come ransom you."

As he finished speaking, there was a loud boom.

The space behind him exploded, and powerful immortal pressure poured out from around him.

His white robes fluttered without wind, and his eyes sparkled with shifting light, as if countless stars were rotating inside them.

The space around him couldn’t withstand the pressure and was cracking apart.

He reached out with his right hand, which grew large enough to cover the sky, blocking out the sun.

He reached for Xu Zimo.

"Little Dumpling, time to entertain a guest," Xu Zimo said with a smile. He waved his right hand in front of him, opening a portal from which Chaos’s enormous body slowly emerged.

Thanks to Xu Zimo’s tireless cultivation efforts, Chaos had made rapid progress in comprehending the Immortal Path.

As Chaos appeared and set his feet on the ground, countless cracks split open across the earth.

An even more powerful immortal pressure, mixed with the might of a beast, surged from Chaos’s body.

Within the canyon, countless wild beasts sensed this aura and all knelt down, trembling in submission.

"A Meridian Beast, an Immortal Path Meridian Beast," the old man muttered.

His eyes turned serious for the first time.

Looking at Xu Zimo, he said, "I underestimated you."

"Chaos, handle him," Xu Zimo said calmly.

Chaos let out a roar to the sky. The massive wings on his back spread wide, covering the sun and sky, and he charged the old man.

The wings tore through Infinite Void, and in an instant, Chaos was in front of him.

"So fast!" the old man said in surprise, quickly gathering spiritual energy to block Chaos’s attack.

With a loud explosion, a shockwave burst outward.

A black hole ripped open in space, and half the sky collapsed.

Gale-force winds surged in all directions. Chaos took a few steps back, while the old man was slammed into the ground.

"Sure enough, beasts of the same realm are stronger than humans," the old man muttered, feeling the numbness in his arms.

"So, do you still want the Soft-Water Pearl?" Xu Zimo asked with a smile.

"This matter isn’t over, Holy Son Xu," the old man said coldly. He grabbed the four people nearby and tore through layers of space, quickly vanishing.

Chaos was about to chase, but Xu Zimo stopped him.

"You’re close in power. If he’s focused on escaping, you can’t kill him," Xu Zimo shook his head and said.

Chaos nodded and said to Xu Zimo, "Boss, now that the God World is stable, I’ve seen many promising wild beasts. I want to go train them. When the time is right, they can be part of our Myriad Beasts Race."

"Not yet," Xu Zimo said. "The God World just stabilized. Everyone’s still growing. You can’t force it. Wait until a proper food chain forms and the strong start to survive. Once the Primal Beast Era shifts into a full cultivation era, that’s when the Myriad Beasts Race can emerge."

Hearing this, Chaos nodded regretfully and returned to the God World.

Because time flows differently between the God World and the Primordial Heartlands.

People often say one day in the heavens is a year on earth.

And the time ratio between the Primordial Heartlands and the God World is roughly one to seven.

Ever since the world’s rules were completed, Xu Zimo noticed this.

Time in the God World moves seven times faster than on the Primordial Heartlands. That means one day in the Primordial Heartlands equals seven days in the God World.

...

Whether or not to kill Luo Changfeng was not Xu Zimo’s main goal.

Now that he had the Soft-Water Pearl, he had two of the Five Spirit Pearls in hand.

As for the other three, he had no leads, it would depend on fate.

Taking advantage of this time, Xu Zimo went to check his True Fate World.

After the initial chaos, all living beings in the God World were gradually adapting to survival.

Those unable to adapt eventually went extinct.

Beasts were still the dominant force in this world, and humans, who had started at the bottom of the food chain, used to be little more than prey.

Now, they had begun to learn basic hunting, like setting traps and finding caves to sleep in.

But fire was still a mystery.

Like beasts, humans were still eating raw meat. They hadn’t learned how to make fire or even developed language or communication.

Xu Zimo didn’t interfere. This was a step that must be taken, a natural part of all development.

...

After leaving the True Fate World, Xu Zimo found his direction and set out for the True Martial Sacred Ground.

Dusk had already fallen, and the sky was getting darker.

A few stars twinkled in the sky, and a crescent moon hung half-hidden by clouds.

Xu Zimo summoned the Darksky Tiger and leaned against its back, slowly heading toward the Sacred Ground.

With Xu Zimo’s resources, the Darksky Tiger had now grown into an Imperial Meridian-level beast.

Its huge body looked extremely powerful.

But for Xu Zimo, it was just a mount. He rarely used it in battle.

After walking north from the canyon for about half an hour...

Under the dim moonlight, the Darksky Tiger came to a stop.

Not far ahead stood a figure.

A figure cloaked entirely in black robes.

"Long time no see," the robed figure turned and said to Xu Zimo.

"You really dared to leave your forbidden grounds? Aren’t you afraid of being discovered?" Xu Zimo stood up from the tiger’s back and smiled.

The man pulled back his hood, revealing a plain but shockingly handsome face.

It was the God Emperor!

The ruler of the Elden Lands, founder of the Divine Gate.

"I’ve been searching everywhere, but I still haven’t found the Blood Race you told me about," the God Emperor said.
