Mo Qi abruptly turned his body and saw an exceptionally beautiful woman, dressed in loose clothing that seemed ill-suited to her figure, approaching slowly.
Yet, it was precisely this casual attire that lent her an air of natural clarity, making her presence instantly striking.
However, Mo Qi's brow furrowed immediately, as the clothes seemed familiar, as if he possessed a similar item in his storage pouch.
He instantly understood; while he had been meditating earlier, this woman had stealthily approached, opened his storage pouch, and stolen one of his garments.
"Are you wearing my clothes?" Mo Qi questioned.
"With a great enemy before us," the woman said, her pretty face flushing slightly, "why are you concerned with such trivial matters? Let's deal with the external threat first."
Shuo Jin glanced at the woman, a hint of surprise in his eyes. "So it's the Saintess of Light. Didn't you undergo the sacrifice?"
Upon hearing this, Mo Qi couldn't help but look at her again. She was so beautiful.
Well, that wasn't the main point.
The Saintess said with a touch of pride, "This is where the sun excels over the moon. I previously merged myself with the Heart of the Sun, gaining supreme magical power to block the incoming star world. I was shattered into pieces, but the Heart of the Sun is filled with solar essence, like a living being, which gradually gathered my scattered souls, allowing me to be reborn."
Shuo Jin coldly snorted, "What of rebirth? You are nowhere near my level. I could destroy you with a single finger."
The Saintess smiled gently, "If you were Shuo Jin's true form, I would naturally not be your match. But unfortunately, you are merely a clone of Shuo Jin. The Golden River World has already collapsed and could vanish at any moment, entirely reliant on Shuo Jin's true form for support. If the true form leaves, the Golden River World would be destroyed in the blink of an eye."
Shuo Jin's clone's expression shifted slightly, "So what? Dealing with you only requires a clone."
"Arrogant." The Saintess drew an arc in the air, and myriad moth-like phantoms roared from all directions, pouncing towards Shuo Jin.
In an instant, these moths formed a cage, enveloping Shuo Jin.
Shuo Jin's expression changed slightly. He formed a hand seal, then split his hand, and the seemingly impenetrable cage was violently torn apart, shattering into pieces in an instant.
The phantom figures, once shaped like moths, also broke into pieces, transforming into fiery red silhouettes that, as part of the sun, permeated the air once more.
The Saintess's seemingly earth-shattering move was easily neutralized by Shuo Jin, who then laughed, "So, you haven't truly resurrected. This is merely your soul or a lingering remnant. With only one or two tenths of your cultivation left, how can you fight me?"
The Saintess's face also changed greatly. She had intended to test the opponent's cultivation, but her own cultivation had been revealed instead.
This was a disaster. She couldn't defeat him, others couldn't enter, and this young man before her seemed so weak, certainly unable to defeat him. Could it be that the Heart of the Sun was destined to be taken by him? Was the Milky Way World destined for destruction?
Shuo Jin laughed arrogantly, "So, will you be a warrior or a deserter?"
A look of resolve appeared on the Saintess's face, "I've already died once, what fear do I have of dying again?"
Shuo Jin clapped his hands and laughed, "Good, good, admirable. However, I must still kill you." He then turned to look at Mo Qi, "And you too."
Mo Qi said innocently, "What does this have to do with me? I just came in for a look, and accidentally bumped into you. If you want the Heart of the Sun, just take it. What does it have to do with me?"
The Saintess was immediately filled with disappointment, "Child, you have no spirit at all. How did Cui select people, choosing such a useless person like you?"
"Who is Cui?"
"What business is it of yours? If you want to leave, then leave. Don't let me see you again."
"What are you talking about? If I leave, I can't leave alone. I'll drag you with me."
Saying this, Mo Qi suddenly lunged forward, grabbed the Saintess, and ran far away.
The Saintess, caught off guard, was pulled a great distance by him.
Seeing them flee, Shuo Jin no longer paid them any mind, let out a cold snort, and continued towards the center of the sun.
After being pulled for a long distance, the Saintess forcefully shook off Mo Qi's grip and angrily said, "If you want to escape, escape on your own. Don't drag me along."
Mo Qi stopped and said, "I was afraid he would damage my clothes. If you want to go to your death, that's fine, but take off my clothes."
The Saintess looked at Mo Qi, her body trembling with anger, "You… you…"
Mo Qi shook his head, "I know I'm cute, you don't need to praise me. I've heard so much praise that I'm tired of it now."
Seeing that this person was simply a scoundrel, the Saintess had no intention of arguing with him. She turned and headed towards the center of the sun, intending to catch up to Shuo Jin.
Mo Qi grabbed her hand again, "Beauty, don't go!"
The Saintess was so angry she felt like spitting blood. She forcefully shook off Mo Qi, raised her hand, and unleashed a devastating attack. A sky full of moth-shaped red shadows charged towards Mo Qi.
Mo Qi summoned the Creation Divine Leaf and flicked it forcefully, pushing the red shadows back slightly. But he was immediately surrounded by them, unable to move.
The red shadows slowly writhed, like moths gathered together, interweaving to form a net that propelled the Creation Divine Leaf forward, sweeping towards Mo Qi instead.
Mo Qi's body was suddenly subjected to immense pressure, almost bursting. Simultaneously, myriad red shadows converged on him from all directions. Judging by their momentum, even if he wasn't crushed to death, he would be trapped.
Mo Qi finally realized the difference between himself and the Saintess. He couldn't even deal with one of her afterimages, let alone her at full power.
Fortunately, the Saintess didn't intend to kill him. She suddenly raised her hand, and the phantoms vanished without a trace. The pressure around Mo Qi instantly dissipated.
The Creation Divine Leaf floated back gently and landed in Mo Qi's hand.
The Saintess let out a cold snort, "Scram, and don't let me see you again."
Mo Qi, however, suddenly said with a serious expression, "Going up there is also seeking death. After he kills you, he will still take the Heart of the Sun. You can't change anything."
"That's still better than doing nothing."
"But I'm not doing nothing either," Mo Qi said with a smile. "When facing an enemy, if you can't overpower them, don't act rashly. We can use our wits."
"Using our wits?" The Saintess's tone softened. She looked at Mo Qi again, seeing he wasn't joking, and said with some urgency, "What method do you have? Speak quickly."
"My method isn't exactly using our wits, it's more about slowly wearing him down. It will take him time to find the Heart of the Sun. We can use this time to constantly harass him. When he stops to deal with us, we'll escape; when he continues forward, we'll emerge again to cause him trouble, making it difficult for him to approach the Heart of the Sun."
The Saintess's eyes lit up, then dimmed, "In that case, we'll be even more tired, won't we?"
"Tired or not, it's better than being beaten to death," Mo Qi said resolutely.
The Saintess pondered for a moment, finding his words to be quite reasonable. She then looked at him carefully, "Who exactly are you?"
"I am the one chosen by the Milky Way World for the sacrifice."
"Have you seen Cui?"
"Who is Cui?"
"My disciple. She should be the Queen of the Light World now."
Mo Qi's face suddenly went blank. It turned out Cui was his own mother.
"Oh, I have seen Cui. She agreed, and then I came in."
"Mm," the Saintess looked around, a little impatiently, "Shall we go harass him now?"
"We can," Mo Qi nodded, "As long as you don't mind being tired, we can do it anytime."
Thus, the two turned again and pursued towards the center of the sun.
