Chapter 169 Come With Me

Soon it was the next day, and Su Ding was picked up early at the bridal studio.

After her makeup was done, making her look stunning and beautiful, she donned a magnificent and exquisite ancient Han dynasty wedding dress, the only one of its kind in the world. She looked solemn and breathtakingly gorgeous…

"She's too beautiful!"

"Even a fairy wouldn't be this stunning!"

The staff at the bridal studio were all amazed; they had never seen a more beautiful bride.

Xin Jia'er changed into her custom-made bridesmaid dress, pushed open the door, and froze on the spot, staring blankly at the ancient beauty before her.

Su Ding, dressed in a bright red wedding gown, carried herself with dignified grace. Every movement she made was as if an imperial concubine from ancient times had arrived.

This wedding dress, personally sewn by a high-end designer, was perfect in every detail.

"Ding Ding—!"

Xin Jia'er snapped back to reality, her eyes filled with admiration. "So beautiful! Truly beautiful! It's just as Mr. Jin would do."

Su Ding's face flushed slightly. She lowered her head to look at her slightly protruding belly and slowly walked towards the mirror.

She had initially thought they were exaggerating, but upon seeing herself in the mirror, she too was momentarily stunned.

She looked so beautiful.

Her belly was not too noticeable, and the wide hem of the dress had a magnificent ancient charm.

"Jia'er," Su Ding called out. Xin Jia'er immediately walked over. "What is it, Ding Ding?"

"I'm a little nervous."

Su Ding knew that Jin Ye had made excellent preparations for this wedding. All the guests invited were prominent figures, and the venue setup and ceremony flow had been meticulously planned by professionals.

Yet, for some reason, she felt uneasy.

It was as if something was about to happen…

Xin Jia'er took her hand and gently comforted her, "It's okay, it's okay. Don't overthink it. Mr. Jin has arranged everything perfectly, you don't need to worry."

"Where's Xiao Rui?" Su Ding asked.

"Xiao Rui is with Mr. Jin," Xin Jia'er said softly. Seeing Su Ding's worried expression, she added reassuringly, "Mr. Jin is taking Xiao Rui to meet guests, essentially introducing Xiao Rui as a girl of the Jin family."

Having known Su Ding for a while, Xin Jia'er was already aware that the children were not twins.

Su Ding nodded. She understood Jin Ye's deep affection for her.

He not only wanted his family to accept her but also to accept the children she had with another man, granting them esteemed status.

"Maybe I'm just a bit anxious."

Su Ding smiled at herself helplessly. After all, this was her very first wedding.

Xin Jia'er linked her arm with Su Ding's and said with a smile, "Alright, alright, stop worrying. You're about to become a bride who stuns everyone!"

Just then, the door was pushed open, and a female server walked in. "Miss Su, Mr. Jin has something to tell you, but he needs to speak with you alone."

Xin Jia'er exchanged glances with the makeup artists.

Su Ding looked puzzled, her brow furrowing. The server said, "No need to go out. Everyone just needs to step into the room for a moment."

"Then please, Jia'er, you and everyone else go inside first," Su Ding said. Although she found it strange, the server appeared delicate and seemed unlikely to carry any weapons.

Xin Jia'er and the makeup artists gradually moved into the adjoining room.

Su Ding turned to the server. "What is it?"

The server stepped closer and whispered, "Look at this."

He picked up his phone and opened a video.

The video was silent. It showed an empty room where Xiao Rui was tied to a chair, her eyes and mouth gagged with cloth strips. She kept kicking her little legs, but there was no response.

Su Ding's heart plummeted. She glared fiercely at the server. "You kidnapped Xiao Rui!"

"I'm just following orders. Come with me, or your daughter will lose her life," the server whispered.

Su Ding clenched her fists. She didn't want to go with him; doing so would only put her in a more dangerous and passive situation.

However, she couldn't stand by and do nothing while her daughter was frightened.

No matter what, she had to be with Xiao Rui. Even if it meant her own life, she had to see Xiao Rui safe with her own eyes.

She hoped the security here would notice something was amiss.

As she was about to leave, the server stopped her. "Change your clothes."

Su Ding knew that dressed like this, she would attract too much attention.

She was forced to take off the wedding dress and put on Xin Jia'er's coat. The server then said, "Write a note saying you've gone out for something and not to worry."

Su Ding was compelled to write the note and place it on the table.

Afterward, she quietly followed the server out.
