Chapter 422 Something Happened

"I have a question, how did you finally deal with Xie Shanshan and Guo Tao?" Su Ding asked directly, her tone flat, without any intention of blaming.

Bai Ruobing, however, guessed what had happened. Otherwise, Su Ding wouldn't have called her specifically to ask about those two after dark.

She chose her words carefully before speaking slowly, "You previously instructed me to decide their fate according to the company's hiring regulations and policies. Since joining the company, Guo Tao has brought tangible benefits. Although there were occasional instances where he didn't comply with company regulations, the impact wasn't too significant."

"As for Xie Shanshan, she frequently used her authority to suppress subordinates and accept gifts. The turnover rate among employees she recruited is higher than that of others in HR. Moreover, considering her actions during your last visit to the company, it's truly difficult for her to continue as the HR Manager."

"Therefore, my decision regarding Guo Tao is a salary reduction and continued employment, while Xie Shanshan will be terminated."

Bai Ruobing stated this clearly and waited quietly for Su Ding's response.

Su Ding let out a hum, her mind replaying the scene she had just witnessed. Guo Tao definitely had a violent tendency; he had physically abused Xie Shanshan in public twice. Such a person was very dangerous.

She didn't conceal her thoughts and said in a low voice, "I'm at the mall right now. Guo Tao was with his new girlfriend, and Xie Shanshan found out. They got into a fight. Xie Shanshan was severely injured and hospitalized, and Guo Tao was taken away by the police. The beating… was quite severe."

Seeing a man beat a woman, Su Ding's inclination, without conscious thought, leaned towards Xie Shanshan.

However, Xie Shanshan wasn't entirely blameless either.

Upon hearing about Guo Tao's violence, Bai Ruobing involuntarily recalled Guo Tao's abusive behavior at the company entrance that time.

"Ms. Su, are you implying that Guo Tao should be fired?"

"...Go and handle their affairs. Make sure no one dies." Su Ding didn't give a definitive answer in the end, instead asking Bai Ruobing to investigate in detail.

Bai Ruobing immediately became serious. "Yes, alright, Ms. Su. I'll contact you if there's any news."

After hanging up the phone, Bai Ruobing stood up directly and walked out of her office.

"Xiao Tao, come out with me for a moment."

Calling for her assistant to accompany her, Bai Ruobing set off.

She took Su Ding's instructions very seriously. With the shares and authority Su Ding had given her, she was not just the acting president but also Su Ding's most direct subordinate.

Su Ding put down her phone, finished the last sip of her milk tea, and stood up to go to Jin Ye's company building.

She didn't go upstairs directly but made a call instead.

The call was answered quickly.

"Guess where I am?" Su Ding asked softly, with a smile.

"Hmm?"

Jin Ye's deep voice held a hint of confusion. After a few seconds of thought, he replied, "At home?"

Su Ding smiled, her tone a little playful, "No, I'm downstairs at your company. Mr. Jin, when do you get off work?"

This gentle yet charming tone made Jin Ye's breathing involuntarily quicken.

"Soon."

Jin Ye's voice was somewhat urgent. He immediately put down the document he was halfway through reading and hurried downstairs.

A secretary saw him and quickly stood up straight, "Mr. Jin, do you need anything?"

Jin Ye didn't look back, coolly saying, "I'm going home. If you have nothing else, go home early. Spend more time with your wife and children."

With that, he disappeared like a gust of wind.

The secretary was dumbfounded, almost thinking she was hallucinating.

When had her workaholic boss ever been so considerate of his subordinates? Had the sun risen from the west today?

After descending the stairs, Jin Ye immediately spotted the woman standing downstairs.

"Dingding," he called out cheerfully.

Su Ding smiled brilliantly and walked over to link her arm with his. "Honey, let's go home."

On the way, Su Ding told Jin Ye about her plan to open a shop. Jin Ye's response was simple: "I support you. If you need any help, just ask." Then, they chatted and laughed all the way home.

As soon as they arrived home, Su Ding's phone rang. Looking at it, she saw that Bai Ruobing had called twice.

It seemed rather urgent.

"I'll take a call, you go inside first," Su Ding said to Jin Ye. She walked to a bench in their small garden, sat down, and answered the phone.

Bai Ruobing got straight to the point, "Ms. Su, something has happened."
