Hearing Tang Si’s voice, Shi Ran paused, then looked up to see Tang Si’s cold face.
She couldn’t help but be startled. "What are you doing here?"
"I'm asking you," Tang Si’s voice was a little cold. He was displeased by her sudden appearance.
"I came... I came to see Sister Wei." Shi Ran glanced at Lu Yanming again. "Hello, Mr. Lu."
Lu Yanming nodded and smiled, "Jing Wei is inside. You go in first, Xiao Si and I will wait outside for a moment."
He patted Tang Si's shoulder and gave him a look.
Tang Si understood. "You go in first, I'll wait for you outside."
Tang Si’s expression clearly turned grim at the sudden appearance of the person he’d been longing for.
The two moved aside, letting Shi Ran in first, then they walked out of the ward and closed the door.
Shi Ran reluctantly looked through the transparent glass at Tang Si, who was standing outside the door. She pursed her lips and turned to go inside.
"Sister Wei, you..." Shi Ran called out. Seeing Shen Liannuo sitting by the hospital bed, she quickly greeted her, "Sister Liannuo, you're here too."
"Why did you come back?" Meng Jingwei looked surprised.
Shen Liannuo scratched her head and gave an embarrassed smile. "You were in surgery then. I posted on Moments. Shi Ran saw it, asked about the situation, and I told her. Who knew... she would come back."
Not to mention Meng Jingwei, even Shen Liannuo was a little surprised.
Shi Ran placed the nutritional supplements aside, took off the mask she was wearing, and sat by the bed. She chided, "Sister Wei, do you not consider me a friend? Not telling me you were hospitalized?"
After learning that Meng Jingwei was in trouble, she was very worried. She rushed back from the Jiangnan town, afraid that Meng Jingwei might have an accident.
Although she hadn't known Meng Jingwei for very long, they were as close as sisters.
"What nonsense are you talking about!"
Meng Jingwei had finished her IV drip and her mental state had improved a lot. She propped herself up on the bed and sat up.
Shen Liannuo stood up and used a pillow to support her back. Meng Jingwei leaned against the headboard. Weiwei raised her chin, her gaze falling on Shi Ran’s abdomen, hinting, "Don't you know why I didn't want you to come back?"
"What's going on?" Shen Liannuo looked confused, not understanding Meng Jingwei's meaning at all.
Shi Ran bit her lip, lowered her head, raised her hand to her abdomen, and after a moment of silence, said, "I know. But... but you had an accident, I couldn't not come back to see you."
"What do you mean?" Shen Liannuo frowned, looking back and forth between Meng Jingwei and Shi Ran. Finally, she couldn't help but ask, "Shi Ran is pregnant?"
"Yes, triplets."
Before Meng Jingwei could answer, Shi Ran nodded and said.
"Heavens, how lucky? Yuan Wei's children?" Shen Liannuo pondered. Tang Si was already married, so even if Shi Ran had children, they wouldn't be Tang Si's. She naturally assumed they were Yuan Wei's.
Shi Ran shook her head, her lips pursed. "It's Ah Si."
"Ah Si?!"
This address was intimate enough to make Shen Liannuo have a misperception and ask suspiciously, "Tang Si?"
"Mm."
Shi Ran nodded.
Shen Liannuo was stunned for a moment, her expression shifting from grim to even grimmer. She slowly turned and glared at Meng Jingwei, "You're too disloyal, why didn't you tell me?"
"What good would it do for me to tell you?" Meng Jingwei looked innocent. "Do you think I knew? Ah Ye only told me. I was busy these past two days, wasn't I busy telling you?"
"Hmph, I can't be bothered to argue with you." Shen Liannuo didn't intend to dwell on the matter. Instead, her gossipy face leaned towards Shi Ran, and she tentatively asked, "Tang Si is married. You're pregnant with his child, what are you going to do?"
