Chapter 1335 Disliked by Tang Si

Bang, crash –

As Shi Ran took two steps, the sound of shattering cups came from behind her, accompanied by the crisp clinking of glass shards on the floor.

Her steps faltered, a pang of pain surging in her heart.

"If you dare to leave this door today, then never come back," Tang Si said, pulling out a tissue and calmly wiping the glass fragments from his hand. The tissue was stained a deep red.

Yet, he seemed to feel no pain, not even a flicker of a frown on his brow.

Shi Ran stood there, her heart in turmoil, indecisive.

Ding –

Suddenly, Shi Ran’s phone chimed with a text message notification.

Holding her phone, she had no mind to read the message.

After a long period of hesitation and struggle, Shi Ran dug her fingernails into the handle of her bag, almost scratching through the genuine leather.

She thought of Tang Si and Zhao Wuyan's impending wedding, and Zhao Wuyan's pregnancy.

They seemed to be a match made in heaven, a perfect union, suited in every way.

A bitter smile tugged at the corner of Shi Ran's lips. "Okay."

She answered, walked to the door, opened it, and left resolutely.

After Shi Ran closed the door, a sudden bang echoed from the room, accompanied by the crashing sound of plates, dishes, and cups hitting the floor, creating a cacophony.

Shi Ran stood at the door, hearing the commotion inside, which was enough to know the fury of the person within.

But he…

With a child with Zhao Wuyan, what reason did he have to be angry?

The fault, after all, lay with him.

Shi Ran raised her hand to pull her scarf higher, obscuring the scar on her face, and walked directly towards the elevator.

There were two elevators, one on the 1st floor, and one stopped on the 10th floor.

She stood outside the elevators, her heart in agony, a complex mix of emotions swirling within her. She unconsciously picked up her phone and opened the message.

It was from Meng Jingwei.

[Ah Ye just told me that Zhao Wuyan’s child is not Tang Si’s. She took nude photos next to him while he was asleep, pretending they had been intimate. Moreover, Zhao Wuyan has already miscarried. The engagement between the Tang and Zhao families is therefore canceled.]

Meng Jingwei had rushed over and learned the news just then, so she immediately informed Shi Ran.

When Shi Ran saw the message, her heart constricted with pain, but a smile bloomed on her tear-streaked face.

So, Tang Si and Zhao Wuyan had not been intimate.

She had… misunderstood Tang Si.

Shi Ran wiped the tears from her face and hurried towards Tang Si's room.

As she walked, perhaps feeling she was too slow, she cradled her abdomen with her hand and trotted to Tang Si's room.

Standing outside the door, she raised her hand and knocked.

Knock, knock, knock –

Knock, knock, knock!

The sounds grew more urgent with each one.

After a while, someone opened the door from inside.

Tang Si thought some of his brothers had come over. He opened the door, walked into the living room without looking at the person outside.

Shi Ran pushed the door open and stepped inside. The first thing she saw was the mess in the living room.

Delicious dishes were mixed with soup and water on the floor, turning it into something like a garbage dump.

But she paid no mind to that, her gaze falling on Tang Si. She mustered her courage and asked, "You canceled the engagement with Zhao Wuyan, didn't you?"

As she asked, Shi Ran nervously clutched her sleeve, unconsciously holding her breath, waiting for Tang Si's answer.

Hearing her voice, Tang Si's body stiffened. He finally realized that the person who had returned was Shi Ran.

He slowly turned around, looking at Shi Ran standing a few meters away. A cold smile flickered across his lips. "Does it have anything to do with you?"

Shi Ran's heart sank. His words had directly plunged her into the abyss, and the faint smile that remained on her face gradually disappeared.

She was choked, speechless.
