Chapter 104 Departure

Awei stood up and approached the vampire's shattered remains, still firing a few shots.

"Pah, what is this? I thought you were so powerful, but you're gone in just a few moves."

Seeing Awei's actions, the others didn't interfere, merely dusting themselves off.

Vampires were indeed not difficult to deal with, unlike flying corpses and ghost kings.

Simple garlic could threaten them. If it weren't for the vampire's ability to switch forms, it would have been killed by the cross long ago.

"In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, Amen!"

Monk Wu made a Christian gesture before the cross and then approached Shi Jian and his group.

"Daoist priest, I misjudged you. Thank you for destroying the devil. The Lord will bless you."

Shi Jian ignored Monk Wu and turned to face the three foreigners.

These three were the benefactors. Who had the time to bother with Monk Wu?

Foreign currency and firearms were the most important matters; nothing else mattered.

"My three foreign friends, are you alright?"

"We're fine, we're fine, the three of us are perfectly safe."

"Daoist priest, here is a thousand silver dollars. As for the firearms, we will have them delivered to you once we obtain them."

The three foreigners breathed a sigh of relief upon seeing the vampire destroyed.

These men had offended the vampire, and if they didn't seek help, they would surely face retaliation in the future.

This was also why the three foreigners were chased by a few small vampires initially.

"Good, good, good. I'll write you a location later."

Shi Jian took the money bag from the foreigners and put it into Awei's backpack.

He picked up a pen and paper to write down the address of the Yi Zhuang near Mount Mao.

The reason he didn't write Mount Mao was that he was afraid the purple-robed old Daoist would find out.

Disciples fearing their masters was a situation that would never change.

"Xiao Fang, Awei, we should leave. Master still has a pile of things to handle."

Shi Jian gave the foreigners an address and instructed Mao Xiaofang and Awei, who were by his side, to leave the church.

The Haunted School of Arts could yield five silver dollars a day. Missing even one day was a loss.

If their spot was taken by another Daoist priest, wouldn't they lose immensely?

Simply teaching ghost-catching knowledge to the security team could earn them five silver dollars a day.

It was a coveted job for anyone, making them eager to fly to the Haunted School of Arts.

"Daoist priest, we shall meet again!"

The three foreigners and Jiu Shu's master and disciples did not delay them, merely watching Shi Jian and his group depart.

They also had many things to attend to. The foreigners had business to conduct in various places.

Jiu Shu had accepted several Feng Shui jobs. None of them wanted to linger in the church.

Dealing with the vampire was a last resort. Who knew the vampire would run to Renjia Town for no reason and insist on chasing down a few wealthy foreigners?

Otherwise, the vampire's fate would not have been so miserable, nor would it have been ganged up on by Jiu Shu and Shi Jian's group.

Even more ruthless was that the main gate was blocked, and the most powerful figures hadn't even made a move, yet it didn't even have a chance to escape.

If Shi Jian had made a move, the vampire wouldn't have lasted even a few minutes.

"Junior Brother, farewell!"

"Senior Brother, farewell!"

"Uncle-Master, goodbye!"

"Eldest Uncle-Master, goodbye!"

After bidding farewell, everyone led their disciples and went their separate ways, leaving the church outside the provincial capital.

Inside the church, only Monk Wu and two believers remained, kneeling before the cross, praying for the deceased believers.

Meanwhile, Shi Jian arrived at a desolate location according to the security captain's agreement.

"Master, could there be a Haunted School of Arts in this ghost of a place?"

Awei felt a chill down his spine. Who would build a school in the wilderness?

Perhaps the security captain was controlled by a fierce ghost and wanted to harm the security team.

Mao Xiaofang, who was beside him, said, "Stupid. It's called the Haunted School of Arts. What else would you expect but for the school to be in the wilderness? Only then would it live up to its name."

Mao Xiaofang slowly wandered around the desolate wilderness.

He had learned Daoist magic now and was no longer the timid Mao Xiaofang of the past.

"Senior Brother, don't walk so fast, wait for me!"

Awei followed closely behind Mao Xiaofang, fearing he would encounter something unclean.

Mao Xiaofang looked at Awei's current state, feeling a sense of déjà vu, resembling how he used to follow Shi Jian to catch ghosts.

"Don't be afraid. Isn't Master still here? No matter how powerful the ghost, we can deal with it."

After speaking, Mao Xiaofang turned to look at Shi Jian behind him, only to find that he was no longer there.

This frightened the two of them, making them think they had encountered something unclean.

"Senior Brother, where did Master go? Could we have walked into a ghost maze?"

"Go away, stop scaring yourself. What ghost maze? With Senior Brother here, what are you afraid of?"

Mao Xiaofang swallowed and took out his peach wood sword and a few yellow talismans, looking around with vigilance.

He had only encountered a ghost maze once so far!

Suddenly, a muffled voice came from behind the two, "What are you doing?"

Awei was startled by the voice and hurriedly pulled out the pistol at his waist.

"You brat, what do you think you're doing?"

Shi Jian came to Awei's side and stopped him from drawing his pistol.

He had only gone to relieve himself and returned to see his two disciples acting suspiciously.

He had intended to inquire about the situation, but who would have thought that Awei would pull out a pistol and attempt to kill his master?

"So it's Master, you scared me half to death. I thought it was some ghost with bad eyes."

"Hmph, you see ghosts in everyone!"

"We're almost at the Haunted School of Arts, don't be so paranoid here."

Shi Jian, upon learning the reason, did not scold Awei and Mao Xiaofang any further.

Following the faint light emanating from ahead, the Haunted School of Arts should be not far away.

However, he rather liked the location chosen for the Haunted School of Arts.

The wilderness had the most lonely ghosts, so they could use them as resources, grabbing any ghost on the spot for teaching.

After walking for a short while, the three arrived outside a building with the words "Haunted School of Arts" prominently displayed, making it stand out in the desolate wilderness.

"Why is there no one here? Could it be haunted inside?"

Awei was the first to enter the Haunted School of Arts. He took a look inside and found no one.

Thus, he bravely continued deeper into the Haunted School of Arts.

After walking a short distance, he was suddenly faced with a dozen gun barrels pointed at his head.

"Captain Xiao Bao, it's a fat man, not a fierce ghost!"

Awei became furious upon hearing himself called a fat man.

"What do you want? I'm a Daoist priest invited by your captain."

"Awei, why are you alone? Where are your master and fellow disciples?"

The captain of the Haunted School of Arts came out. Seeing the familiar face, he immediately signaled for the people in the school to lower their guns.
