Chapter 1581 Someone is Lying Inside

Mo De piloted the spore-class spaceship, charging into the terrifying ionized radiation zone like a moth to a flame.

Under the gaze of Fang Er and the others, as expected, the spore-class spaceship soon lost power, becoming incapable of even turning or stopping.

Powerful inertia carried the ship and Mo De straight towards the enemy warship drifting nearby.

Everyone's hearts leaped into their throats.

Just as the distance between the two ships narrowed, and they were about to collide, Mo De flashed out of the spore-class spaceship.

"Puff..."

The two ships finally collided, but it was the spore-class spaceship piloted by Mo De that sustained damage.

A brilliant flash of fire momentarily lit up the moon, while Mo De had already firmly grasped an external protrusion on the enemy ship.

"Treant Immortal! Life's Embrace!"

He let out a silent roar, then extended both arms. His fingers, interwoven from roots, quickly spread out, forming a net that adhered to the ship's outer hull.

Simultaneously, Mo De's own body, supported by his arms, rapidly retreated towards Fang Er and the others.

This was an innate ability of the Treant race. Their fingers could be as hard as diamond or as soft as boneless flesh. Anything they bound could not escape unless the Treant itself was harmed.

And at this moment, the enemy warship had completely lost its ability to fight back!

Yi Shen Shina looked expectantly at Fang Er, wanting to say something but holding back.

Then, she waved and assigned several soldiers from the Skyfire Pirate Group to accompany her outside the ship, providing escort for Mo De's actions.

Although Mo De's fingers could extend and retract freely, it came at a great cost.

The nature of this cost was something he had never mentioned to anyone.

As he retreated, the few newly regenerated buds on his head trembled wildly.

One, two, three, four...

They flew into the void, unseen!

The new leaves on Mo De's head shed, suddenly releasing terrifying energy that enveloped his entire body.

"Kachik..."

A strange sound emanated from him.

Through the communicator, this sound continuously transmitted back to the warship, clearly heard by Fang Er and Bu Yun Bu Yu.

"What's happening?"

Mo De did not reply; at this moment, he was gritting his teeth, continuing his previous actions.

"Hurry!"

Fang Er urged Yi Shen Shina.

Her reply quickly came back, "We're there!"

Then, he heard her remind Mo De.

"Little Mo, be careful!"

As her voice faded, from a certain point on the exterior of the Eternal Storm-class spaceship, two massive metal claws shot out, connected to the ship by chains.

The chains were long, extending for several kilometers, yet very thin, thinner than an adult's finger diameter.

The grappling hooks whistled, moving through the void with lightning speed.

Upon hearing Yi Shen Shina's voice, Mo De's elongated arms exerted force, pulling him away from his original position, thus preventing him from being accidentally injured.

With quick reflexes, the moment the grappling hooks stopped, several of his toes rapidly extended, firmly gripping the two claws.

The rest was easy. Yi Shen Shina severed the connection of one of the grappling hooks, Mo De reconnected the two claws from their ends, and finally secured them to the enemy ship.

The Eternal Storm slowly withdrew, dragging him and the enemy ship out of the ionized radiation zone.

Half an hour later, Fang Er pointed at the enemy ship outside and waved his hand.

"Someone, come with me to inspect the enemy vessel!"

"Yes!"

Su Dingfang and Yi Shen Shina responded simultaneously.

Then, they selected a few low-level members of the Skyfire Pirate Group to accompany them, following Fang Er towards the cargo bay.

Outside the enemy warship, the bodies of the enemy personnel hanging on the hull were still warm, suggesting they had died recently.

Forcing open the cargo bay door, Fang Er cautiously entered.

The interior of the ship was not particularly remarkable, with walls and floors made of bare metal everywhere.

All the electronic equipment and light sources inside had been shut down, leaving it pitch black.

"Hoo ah!"

Suddenly, a voice came from the front.

Fang Er's steps halted. He widened his eyes in disbelief.

The next second, he urged the others.

"Search quickly, find the guy who spoke!"

As his voice fell, he himself, holding a lantern, rushed towards the direction of the sound.

This was a Dreadnought-class warship, corresponding in class to the Eternal Storm-class spaceship.

The interior space was vast. The group searched inside for nearly half an hour without finding a single survivor.

Helplessly, they had to requisition fifty more men from the Eternal Storm-class spaceship.

"Lord Protector, we've found them!"

The Skyfire Pirate Group, from top to bottom, had accepted the title "Lord Protector" to address Fang Er, though they did not understand what it meant.

Hearing the report in his ear, Fang Er, who was looking around, quickly inquired about the location and hurried over.

This appeared to be the ship's cryo-bay.

Rows of coffin-like structures were neatly arranged.

Through the crystal-like coffins, they could clearly see people lying inside.

Yes!

It was people!

Not some other race!

Standing in the middle of these cryo-pods, Fang Er felt his head buzzing.

What in the world was going on?

Why were humans present on an alien warship!
