The Xiaoniao aircraft carrier, 323.6 meters long and 39.6 meters wide, was docked on the river.
While Brigade Commander Chen and Li Yunlong didn't recognize it, Huang Tugu and Li Chengzong were all too familiar. Every military region had data on this aircraft carrier!
"Hahaha, what a treasure, a true treasure! Brother Fang, you are magnificent!" Li Chengzong shouted at the top of his lungs.
After his initial shock, Huang Tugu grabbed Fang Er, "Brother Fang, quickly, teach me how to swear!"
Fang Er: .........
"Only by unleashing curses can I express my surging emotions, old brother!" Huang Tugu trembled with excitement.
Li Yunlong emerged from an armored transport vehicle, stood by the river, and gazed at the colossal structure before him, equally thrilled.
"Damn it! Double damn it! Triple damn it!"
"My heavens! This ship is huge!"
"Good heavens, there are planes on it! Isn't this the legendary aircraft carrier?"
Ding Wei, Kong Jie, and Brigade Commander Chen also exited their transport vehicles and stood alongside Li Yunlong, their excitement beyond words as they stared at the Xiaoniao aircraft carrier.
It was enormous!
Li Chengzong bounced around excitedly, "Hahaha, with this thing, we can bring the carrier-based aircraft over, and then we can take wherever we want, whenever we want!"
No wonder that young fellow surnamed Fang didn't engage with Old Huang yesterday.
With a flight deck 318 meters long and 76 meters wide, it was a ready-made airport.
With this, why bother building an airport!
Beside them, Li Shimin was bewildered. This thing seemed even larger than the three Varyags docked in the Tang Dynasty's America.
"Bang!"
He kicked Cheng Yaojin.
Unprepared, Cheng Yaojin tumbled into the Fen River, resurfacing with a splash and looking at the crowd on the shore.
"Who the hell kicked me!"
Everyone was too engrossed in looking at the aircraft carrier to know how he fell, and they exchanged bewildered glances.
Li Shimin silently confirmed one thing: everything before him was not a dream.
Fang Er, who had been observing everyone's reactions, didn't miss Li Shimin's kick.
That old fox was truly devious!
He quickly changed the subject, smiling, "Everyone, shall we go up and take a look?"
This was the widest part of the Fen River, rich in water resources.
Living off the mountains and waters, there were inevitably people who made a living by fishing.
The fishermen had discovered the Xiaoniao in the middle of the river early on and were so frightened they hid in their homes. The fishing boats on the shore were thus available to everyone.
Upon boarding the aircraft carrier, Brigade Commander Chen and Li Yunlong were speechless with shock at the flat deck and the towering bridge.
"Commander Li, shall we go below?" Fang Er smiled, patting Li Chengzong on the shoulder.
Li Chengzong blinked in surprise, then guessed what he meant.
What lay beneath the deck?
The hangar bay!
He grabbed Huang Tugu and they ran towards the hangar bay entrance.
The two men in their fifties ran faster than teenagers of seventeen or eighteen.
Inside the hangar bay, they looked around in astonishment.
It was full!
Eighty-two aircraft of various models filled the hangar bay!
"Old Huang, am I dreaming?" Li Chengzong couldn't believe his eyes at the sight of these fighter jets.
Huang Tugu stood there, silent. After a long moment, he suddenly grabbed Li Chengzong's head and slammed it against the side of an F-14.
"Bang!"
A long, clear impact echoed in the hangar bay.
"Confirmed, you are not dreaming!"
Huang Tugu, with his hands clasped behind his back, turned and walked towards the deck.
The sword was here; all that was needed was the swordsman!
After taking two steps, he suddenly remembered something.
Before coming here, Fang Er had asked him for personnel, enough to man an aircraft carrier battle group!
And these people were currently in TY City...
This was also why, besides tanks and helicopters, they had brought a thousand transport vehicles; most of them carried technical troops!
Damn it, that kid had planned this all along!
Just then, the walkie-talkie on Huang Tugu's waist crackled to life.
"Hole one hole one, this is hole nine, calling Shui Quan. A large number of Japanese planes are heading towards TY from the direction of Shizhuang!"
"What the hell! You dare to smash my head into a plane..."
Li Chengzong, still dazed, rushed up from behind. He had merely asked a casual question, and unexpectedly suffered such a blow. It was too much!
Huang Tugu's expression turned serious. He glanced back at Li Chengzong, then immediately dodged to the side.
"Stop fooling around, the enemy's air force has come knocking!"
"Screech..."
Li Chengzong had intended to leap up and kick Huang Tugu to avenge the head-banging incident, but his shout inadvertently revealed his intention.
Huang Tugu's dodge left Li Chengzong kicking at empty air.
That wasn't the main point. The main point was his landing posture...
His legs were spread apart at a 180-degree angle.
A split!
Feeling a sudden chill between his legs, Li Chengzong's face turned ashen...
"Old Huang..."
"I'm not done with you..."
Huang Tugu ignored him, walked over to an F-18 Super Hornet nearest the elevator platform, leaped up, grabbed the wing, and climbed onto it.
Despite being over fifty, his movements were still incredibly agile.
The cockpit had a full set of flight gear. As he donned it, he glared at Li Chengzong and said.
"What are you standing around for!"
"Hurry up and notify TY, have all the fighter pilots come over!"
"The enemy planes have passed Shui Quan, and will reach TY airspace in ten minutes at most!"
With that, he jumped into the cockpit, started the engine, and slowly piloted the fighter jet towards the elevator platform.
Li Chengzong finally realized that he had indeed heard his walkie-talkie crackle just now.
Putting aside his grievance about his head being hit, he first grabbed his walkie-talkie and relayed the order to TY.
Then, he walked to the elevator platform switch. Once Huang Tugu had positioned the aircraft, he slammed the button.
The platform slowly ascended. Brigade Commander Chen and the others on deck turned their heads at the sound, only to see an unfamiliar fighter jet appear behind them.
"This, this is..."
"Clear the way, enemy contact!"
Huang Tugu's head poked out of the cockpit, waving at the crowd and shouting.
The other military region commanders also received warnings from TY via their walkie-talkies, and knew exactly what Old Huang intended to do.
Having visited aircraft carriers countless times, they might not have eaten pork, but they had certainly seen pigs run.
They quickly directed Brigade Commander Chen and the others to hold hands and quickly run across the deck, checking for any debris that might hinder the aircraft's takeoff.
Huang Tugu taxied the fighter jet to the catapult, ready for takeoff.
As an air force veteran, this was not his first time performing such a maneuver.
He had experienced catapult launches before when the Liaoning aircraft carrier had officially entered service.
The deck was spotless, as Fang Er had only released the carrier the night before. Apart from a few bird droppings, there wasn't even a fallen leaf.
