The Trickster King

Chapter 418 The Three Undead Elders

The Demon God is the true ruler of the Undead, with three Undead Elders below the Demon God, and the Four Demon Kings below the three Elders.

These three Grand Elders are not creatures of this planet, nor do they belong to this dimension.

They, the three of them, each manage one of the Undead's three capabilities, which are – Strength, Wisdom, and Power.

Kamon, one of the Grand Elders specifically responsible for wisdom, gazed outward from within this pyramid-like structure. From here, one could overlook the beautiful lands of the Tuoluo Continent. The sun was rising, and a beam of warm sunlight entered through the window, illuminating Kamon's face.

Kamon was lost in thought. After a long while, he let out a sigh and slowly turned around. The elder's robe the Grand Elder wore swayed with his movement, the snow-white robe trailing to the ground. The golden collar around his neck emitted a dazzling light.

He silently turned and looked at the other two before him. These two had been standing behind him for a long time, also wearing the Grand Elder's robes and golden collars. They were Aga, the Grand Elder in charge of Strength, and Mannon, the Grand Elder in charge of Power.

The three communicated not through language, but by opening their hearts and minds, a unique ability of theirs. Furthermore, they could discern the thoughts of every Undead. They had no objections to the actions of the Undead, nor did they offer any suggestions.

They were beings from a higher dimension. Their view of the Undead launching a war on this planet was akin to their own pets fighting over territory.

It was like the principle of: Heaven and Earth are not benevolent; they treat all things as straw dogs.

Their task was to receive the Demon God's assessment of their war results within the allotted time and then move on to the next suitable planet for survival.

Resistors were, to them, symbols of barbarism, and destroying them was of no consequence. A large portion of those who complied would be assimilated into the Undead, their souls and bodies being elevated.

Kamon bowed his head in thought, the light in his eyes flashing intermittently. He slowly raised his head and said, "Humans admire violence and always resolve problems with extreme methods. However, I am surprised to find humans to be far more resilient and courageous than us. We appeared before humans, and even initially dominated them. The result? Now humans possess the ability to contend with us. Are these reasons not worth pondering?"

"It is not your fault, Kamon!" Aga said. "I too am surprised by recent events, but it is not only they who can create miracles; the great Undead can also create miracles. You should know that we have lingered here for too long. We should purify this nation quickly and continue our great journey."

"Yes, we have lingered here long enough. It seems we have forgotten what we were supposed to do initially," Kamon sighed. "What was our original purpose?"

Aga asked in surprise, "Then what are these humans? What about the environmental damage they cause, and their madness and ambition? As the great Undead, we warned them, but what was the ultimate outcome? Did they not ignore our warnings? You know, foolish and greedy humans are not as united as the pure Undead. Although they are united now, they are still divided into many countries and territories. They kill each other, and the inevitable outcome will be their demise."

"You are splitting hairs," Kamon said in a low voice.

"No, Kamon, great commander. It is not I splitting hairs, but rather that humans should not exist in this world," Aga said, his eyes shooting out fiery glances. "If humans were not so foolish and mistrustful of each other, they would not have walked the path to destruction."

"Kamon!"

Suddenly, Mannon, the other Grand Elder in charge of Power, who was standing beside them, finally spoke. Kamon felt his mental communication: "Among us three Elders, you are the wisest. Many times, we have been convinced by your eloquent thoughts, but this time, I feel I should stand with Aga."

"Mannon..." Kamon said in surprise.

Mannon continued, "Aga's concerns are not without reason. Through this, the strongest legion dispatched by the Four Demon Kings of the Strength faction purified another continent. I believe Grand Elder Aga, in charge of Strength, will tell us what new information he has obtained."

Kamon turned to Aga again. Through their mental communication, he learned everything that Aga knew.

As if knowing that Kamon had learned this, Aga spoke, "You know what they are doing now, don't you? They are preparing, preparing a large amount of things that do not belong to this world, preparing to challenge us, to erupt into war against us. And the leader this time is the one foretold by the Great Prophet to be capable of destroying our entire Undead race."

Mannon replied earnestly, "We cannot let the prophecy become reality. This is my mission and my responsibility."

"Doing this will be of no use!" Kamon said, shaking his head. "Based on my understanding of them, this will only accelerate their growth and make them evolve faster, not to catch up with us, but to surpass us."

Kamon thought blankly, "Perhaps, I should not have agreed to interfere with their development in the first place. I was the one who first violated the Undead's principles. Now, I can feel that we are increasingly deviating from our original principles." He turned his head and looked out the window, deeply worried about the future of the Undead.

What Xiao Xun did not know was that his danger had quietly arrived.

At this moment, he was in Lorgaard's laboratory, watching him conduct chemical experiments. Since the invention of nitroglycerin last time, Lorgaard had made unprecedented progress in chemical reagents.

Xiao Xun wondered if his skill tree had been skewed, but it was good for now. If Lorgaard made a breakthrough in chemistry and collaborated with Zeppelin to simulate nuclear fission as quickly as possible to accelerate the manufacturing of atomic bombs and stop the Four Demon Kings, perhaps they could still turn the tide.

However, Xiao Xun had no knowledge of atomic bombs or nuclear energy, and mathematics was his weak point. Therefore, he planned to bring Guan Jiawen here, as her university major was the nursing and maintenance of atomic bombs, so she would definitely understand the structure and composition, which would save a lot of trouble.

Xiao Xun discovered that when he used the spatial ring for travel, his clothes remained intact, indicating that bringing Guan Jiawen over would pose no life-threatening danger.

But this was just his conjecture, and he was about to conduct an experiment with Guan Jiawen, and tomorrow would be the best opportunity.

As dusk fell, Xiao Xun arrived at the Fire Shield Divine King's Palace and saw the mountains of official documents, feeling a pang of sympathy for Salai Peisi.
