Oda’s face was pressed firmly against the ground, and though he wanted to lift his head, he couldn’t. His eyes were filled with venom.
“What are you doing? Let Mr. Oda go quickly!” The woman, seeing this, rushed at Xiao Xun as if driven mad!
Xiao Xun pushed her to the ground with his hand.
“I don’t hit women, don’t force me.” Xiao Xun said, shaking his hand with disgust.
“Make way, make way!”
Suddenly, a commotion arose from outside the crowd.
Xiao Xun looked up; several police officers had rushed in, so he lowered his foot.
“Who called the police?”
Several indignant elderly women recounted what had happened here to the police, adding a bit of vinegar and spice.
The police officers listened with furrowed brows. The female translator quickly said, “Officers, don’t listen to their nonsense. It was those bumpkins, those tourists, who stepped on Mr. Oda’s shoes. Not only did they not apologize, but they also bullied us. And that person,”
She pointed at Xiao Xun, “even slapped Mr. Oda several times. This is a serious disruption of international friendship and could trigger a severe diplomatic incident.”
The leading police officer looked confused. “Is that what happened?”
“Officer, don’t listen to this traitor’s gibberish. He’s just a dog of the little Japanese, only knows how to bark at people.”
“Exactly. That young man looks like an honest child, gentle and weak. How could he possibly hit someone?”
“That’s right, this little Japanese guy fell here himself.”
Everyone spoke up, united by national pride, with no one standing idly by.
The woman pointed at the crowd. “You’re spouting nonsense, you’re slandering us.”
“You’re the one slandering us! We were here the whole time. It was the little Japanese who started it.”
The leading police officer saluted the woman. “Hello, please translate truthfully. Our country welcomes international friends, but this is our territory, and we ask you to abide by our laws. If you break the law, no matter who you are, we will arrest you.”
He then pointed at Xiao Xun. “If you continue to slander our compatriots, I will take administrative action against you for defamation.”
The woman was stunned. She hadn’t expected the police not to take her side. Weren’t these the same people who helped find bicycles back then?
After she finished translating for Oda, Oda said a few words in his language to the group behind him, and then quickly slipped away.
“The little Japanese are leaving.”
“Go back to your j-country homeland!”
“The police are mighty, the police are great.”
Amidst the crowd’s enthusiastic applause and slogans, the police contingent marched back to their police car with brisk steps.
Xiao Xun did not know that these slaps would lead to immense trouble. Of course, even if he knew what happened next, he might not have cared.
In the afternoon, Zhao Yuman called, inviting him to have dinner at a famous Michelin three-star restaurant near the pedestrian street that evening.
As Xiao Xun entered the third floor of the restaurant, a girl stumbled towards him and grabbed his arm.
The woman pleaded, “Help me.”
Xiao Xun recognized the woman as familiar but couldn’t recall where he had seen her.
Just as he was about to ask, a man with a receding hairline, in his forties or fifties, peeked out, looked around, and then spotted the woman.
“Wang Jingang, still trying to force women into prostitution here?”
Wang Jingang, seeing Xiao Xun, immediately put on a fawning smile. “Ah, Mr. Xiao, no, no, this is just a friend of mine.”
“Wait a moment.”
Another familiar voice rang out, and then a group of people walked over in a formidable manner.
Xiao Xun saw them and realized they were the same group of Japanese from earlier. He had run into them again so soon.
“Mr. Wang, our boss has a bit of an issue with this kid. Could you do us a favor and let us settle it first?” the ugly woman said obsequiously to Ning Zhongze.
Ning Zhongze, seeing this, smiled and said, “Please, go ahead.” He then stepped aside, becoming a spectator.
Oda glared at Xiao Xun with venomous eyes, then said something in his language to a tall, burly man beside him.
Xiao Xun curled his lips and, in the blink of an eye, appeared before Oda.
*Slap!*
A resounding slap landed squarely on Oda’s face.
“Are all you j-country people pigs? I told you not to speak that damn gibberish in our country. You still don’t learn after being beaten, you truly have no brains.”
Xiao Xun’s action was so sudden that everyone was stunned.
Oda, who had recovered, immediately glared at Xiao Xun in anger, opening his mouth to curse.
*Slap!*
However, before the words could escape, Xiao Xun slapped him back again.
“Hmph!”
Suddenly, the burly man next to Oda stepped forward. It felt as if the entire floor trembled slightly. He was indeed tall and strong.
Standing before Xiao Xun, he adopted a challenging posture.
“Aren’t all Japanese people short and weak, like cripples? Are you a mixed breed?”
As soon as Xiao Xun spoke, Wang Jingang burst out laughing.
Ning Zhongze, in particular, laughed even more exaggeratedly, almost collapsing onto the floor.
At this moment, the female translator chimed in, “Let me tell you, our Mr. Jing Yan is a Yokozuna-level master. He can beat ten of you pigs with one hand!”
Just then, Zhao Yuman, seeing that Xiao Xun hadn’t arrived for a while, was about to go out and look for him.
As she stepped out of the private room, she saw Xiao Xun confronting the group of Japanese.
Xiao Xun stretched his arms and legs, then beckoned to Jing Yan Masazawa.
“Grandson, hurry up, grandpa is in a hurry.”
Ever since he had led the Phoenix Army, his physical fitness was worlds apart from his former self.
Jing Yan Masazawa’s eyes turned cold. He felt the utter disdain emanating from Xiao Xun’s bones and was instantly filled with rage. He stamped his feet on the ground twice and then extended his hands.
“Shatter…”
Seeing the opponent charge at him like a locomotive,
Xiao Xun shifted slightly, dodging Jing Yan Masazawa’s move, and then threw a punch towards his chest.
Jing Yan Masazawa’s chest was quite thick, and the massive jolt completely absorbed Xiao Xun’s force.
It seemed there was still a gap, and not a small one.
Just as everyone thought Xiao Xun was about to meet his demise, a large hand pulled Xiao Xun behind him at lightning speed.
Then, a bear-like man extended both hands, gripping Jing Yan Masazawa’s elbow joint. With a slight exertion, Jing Yan Masazawa’s bone was dislocated.
The crisp sound of cracking bone was heard, and then, using the force of the opponent, he was directly thrown away, landing on the ground.
“All this muscle and flesh, yet so fragile.”
“What!”
Everyone exclaimed in surprise.
“It’s… it’s over?”
Wang Jingang pulled up a stool, ready to watch the show, but it was already over.
The bear-like man glared at the Japanese. “Who’s not satisfied? Step forward!”
The Japanese exchanged glances, afraid to speak.
A Sumo wrestler of Yokozuna level was like a god of war in their eyes. To be incapacitated in just two moves, what was there to be arrogant about!
“Carry this damn dog away quickly. Don’t come out here to embarrass yourselves whenever you feel like it.”
The Japanese, as if granted amnesty, quickly carried Jing Yan Masazawa and left in shame.
“Brother Ma, you’re awesome!” After the Japanese left, Xiao Xun walked up to the bear-like man and gave him a thumbs-up.
At this moment, Zhao Yuman also walked over. “Are you alright? Why did you get into a conflict with these people?”
Xiao Xun waved his hand. “I’m fine.”
Wang Jingang scratched his head. “Xiao Man, you’re here too!”
Zhao Yuman looked at Wang Jingang with disgust. “I told you, call me Ms. Zhao.”
Now that she had Xiao Xun as her strong support, she showed no goodwill to Wang Jingang.
After dinner, as Xiao Xun was about to leave, Zhao Yuman said, “Oh, right, the new store opens tomorrow. Aren’t you, as a shareholder, supposed to go and show some support?”
“Your renovation is so fast. You just took over the store a few days ago and now it’s opening?”
Zhao Yuman said proudly, “Why do you think I insisted on taking over that store? I liked its renovation. I didn’t expect to unexpectedly gain a great chef. Truly, heaven is looking out for us to get rich!”
“Alright, I’ll definitely be there tomorrow.”
The next day, Xiao Xun drove his car to the restaurant. On the way, he thought it wouldn’t be good to go empty-handed, so he went to the mall to buy an opening gift.
Unexpectedly, he ran into his cousin and her two friends, along with three boys, who should be their boyfriends.
“Cousin, why are you here?”
