Chapter 273: This Strange Alliance?
Raegar was standing at the bedroom window, scanning the landscape outside, only to feel something materializing behind him, a feeling he’d grown used to as a Devil appeared in front of him, but this one was different. It was a female who glanced at him with eyes full of fear as she stared.
’’Who are you?’’ He asked after getting over the shock.
’’Princess Lilith Nightshade, the tenth daughter of the Devil God King,’’ she revealed.
This news made his eyes widen just as Zahara and Yuki appeared out of nowhere. The catwoman held a dagger to Lilith’s throat, making her red eyes widen in fear, but Raegar stopped her. ’’Stop Yuki, she’s clearly not a threat, and I feel no malice coming from her.’’
’’Explain why you’re here, fiend?’’ Zahara demanded, her Fusion powers activating, causing her aura to explode.
’’To help!’’ Lilith revealed. ’’My father is killing innocent Devils, forcing us to attack your realm against our wishes! Only the Fusion King can aid in defeating him!’’
Everyone stared at her as Selene, Alice, Dominique, and Drusilla joined them, only for Raegar to finally speak. ’’Let her go and give us some time to talk.’’
The girls looked shocked, but he reassured them. ’’Remember, Arthur is always with me?’’
Following that, Yuki ushered them out as she warned. ’’We’ll be outside. If anything happens, we will rush in straight away.’’
Once they were alone, Raegar extended his hand, his voice steady but firm. "Take my hand."
Lilith hesitated, her brow furrowing in confusion. ’’Give it to me now!’’ He urged, his tone sharper, leaving no room for delay.
She complied, grasping his hand. A surge of radiant Light Aether flowed from Raegar into her body. Lilith’s eyes widened, and a blood-curdling scream tore from her lips as she collapsed to the floor, writhing in agony. He knelt beside her, maintaining the connection, his expression resolute as he channeled more energy into her.
’’Your father poisoned you,’’ he said, his voice calm but grave. ’’It’s been eating away at you from within. But don’t fear, I can help, but Zahara will have to heal the actual wounds that cover your body.’’
The Devil woman nodded as they sat in silence before he questioned. ’’How did you get here? I’m protected from your kind appearing around me?’’
’’I prayed to the Goddess, we’re not meant to, but I did,’’ Lilith revealed. ’’I knew I had to stop my father; he’s killing millions of us, and we’ve had enough.’’
’’So a coup in the Devil realm?’’
’’Yes, though we keep getting taken out by the Devil Knights,’’ she answered. ’’It’s why I came to find you, the great enemy of my kind.’’
’’So the enemy of my enemy is my friend?’’ He asked, eyebrow arched.
Lilith eagerly agreed. ’’Yes! You understand!’’
’’I do, but I still don’t trust you,’’ he revealed. ’’How about taking an Aether Oath never to betray me?’’
’’I was going to suggest that!’’ She happily exclaimed.
’’Interesting,’’ he muttered before summoning his Fusion Knight, asking him. ’’What do you think of this strange alliance?’’
Arthur appeared from a red portal, answering. ’’It could be an advantage we could use to attack the Devils whenever they appeared. The princess would know how to track the doorways used to get into this realm.’’
’’Look!’’ Lilith shouted as she pulled out some papers. ’’I stole a bunch of plans from my father’s office; it should give you a glimpse into his goals.’’
Following that, Raegar took the offered stuff and handed it to Arthur, who began to read it as he sent even more Aether into the Devil. Once that was done, he helped her into a nearby chair, calling for the Half-Elf. ’’Zahara! Can you come here for a second, please?’’
The girls reentered the room as Drusilla zoomed over to the Devil Princess and questioned. ’’How did you get in here, woman?!’’
He turned to the group and explained everything Lilith told him. By the time he finished speaking, the women looked at the Devil before Dominique asked. ’’And you happily took the Aether Oath?’’
’’Yes!’’ She exclaimed.
When Raegar heard this, he chuckled and stood up. ’’I’m going to get ready for mine and Dom’s date; we will be heading into the capital,’’ he explained.
The room went quiet, but not for long, as the women exploded into excitement. None complained that the Vampress went first because she was the only one who hadn’t had her night with him. Once they calmed down, Zahara looked at him, a serious expression appearing. ’’Make sure it’s special, Rae, she’s been looking forward to it for a while now.’’
’’I will, Za.’’
Following that, the rest of the women piled onto Lilith, the baffled Devil, as she’d never guessed the Fusion King and his harem would accept her, but thanks to the Aether Oath, they knew she wasn’t there to hurt them. Raegar led Dominique out of the room and toward the bathroom.
’’Where are you taking me?’’ She inquired.
’’To get ready,’’ he said, giving the Vampire a charming smile.
Just then, Dahlia appeared alongside Tracy. The two older women were heading for the room Lilith was in, but the brunette gave him a tight hug, asking. ’’A Devil appeared in the palace? How could it do such a thing?’’
’’The goddess,’’ he revealed. ’’She brought Lilith here, I assume it’s to help us take down the Devil God, as she called her father.’’
Dahlia’s amber eyes widened in shock at his words. His aunt Tracy asked with a concerned expression. ’’Is she a threat?’’
Raegar was about to answer, but Dominique did it for him. ’’No, she took an Aether Oath to never betray us; it was shocking to be honest. I never expected to meet the Devil Princess plotting against her father.’’
Everyone laughed as the empress added. ’’It doesn’t surprise me with this handsome mage; it seems like the world revolves around you.’’
’’It does because his the main character and we’re side characters,’’ Dominique teased.
Raegar glanced at the Vampress and shrugged. ’’It wouldn’t surprise me at this point, but enough of that, we need to get ready for our date.’’
When Dahlia heard this, her eyes gleamed as she looked at the grey-skinned beauty. ’’Lucky girl, looks like you’ll be the first.’’
’’Well, I am the last to share his bed, but that doesn’t bother me because I’m not ready for it just yet,’’ she revealed.
Raegar ran his fingers up and down her back, reassuring the Vampire. ’’I’m not going to rush you, Dom, I’ve told you this already.’’
’’Well, can I take your place then, sister?’’ The empress asked, a hopeful gleam in her eyes.
’’Yes, I suppose so,’’ Dominique responded. ’’I’m not jealous like the others, I’ve even drunk his blood. It’s not like I’ll never have sex, I don’t feel ready to take that step.’’
’’Ahhh, I remember now,’’ Tracy suddenly said. ’’Vampires take sex seriously; it’s a lifetime commitment thanks to their blood bonds.’’
’’There’s that which I didn’t think of,’’ the young woman revealed.
After the two women exchanged their farewells and left for the room where the others waited, Raegar gently guided Dominique toward the bathroom. His voice was soft as he offered. ’’Would you like to drink some more?’’
At his words, Dominique stumbled thanks to being caught off guard. He caught her, steadying her with a gentle grip. Her grey cheeks flushed a faint red, and she shook her head slightly before replying with a shy smile. ’’Yes, please. I’ve missed it.’’
Raegar led her into the bathroom, the door clicking softly shut behind them. The dim light cast a warm glow over the tiled walls. He leaned against the counter, his eyes fixed on her with a mix of concern and quiet intensity. Dominique began to slip out of her clothes. As she moved, her slim figure came into view, the curve of her hips and her perky backside.
His breath hitched, while his gaze lingered for a moment before he averted his eyes, a faint flush creeping up his neck. When Dominique turned to face him, her small but beautiful breasts now visible, his cheeks deepened to a noticeable red. He cleared his throat, trying to maintain his composure, but the sight of her beauty made his heart race.
The Vampress offered a small, teasing smile, her earlier shyness giving way to a flicker of confidence. ’’Ready?’’ He managed, his voice low, trying to focus on the task at hand while stealing one last glance at her.
Everything fell quiet, the only sound the gentle splash of water as they washed themselves in companionable silence. Steam curled lazily in the air, softening the edges of the moment. When Raegar finished, he turned to Dominique, his gaze steady and warm. ’’Are you ready for some blood now?’’
Dominique’s body tensed briefly, but she gave a small nod. She turned slowly, her movements hesitant, and approached him. Raegar reached for her, pulling her onto his lap with ease. He tilted his head to the side, exposing the curve of his neck.
