Chapter 322 A Grave Mistake

Lin Feng smiled, pulled over a chair, and sat down in front of Lu Qingyun and Lu Jingzhe.

“You dare talk to me about respecting elders?”

“In my eyes, you don’t even qualify to be my disciple!”

“Fine, seeing as you only have a month left to live, I won’t bother with you!”

Lin Feng looked directly at Lu Qingyun. The moment he spoke, Lu Jingzhe exploded.

“What nonsense are you spouting? You’re the one with only a month left to live! How dare you curse my grandfather, you’re going too far!”

Lu Jingzhe’s chest heaved with anger, her pretty face instantly flushing an intense red.

Lu Qingyun was also very angry, his cloudy eyes filled with the ferocity that precedes a storm.

Most people, upon seeing him, would wish him a long life and good health. Yet, this young man was cursing him, saying he only had a month to live.

No manners, no upbringing, and no bottom line!

“Old man, you don’t need to look at me like that. Whether you live or die in a month will be known then. Your belief or disbelief won’t change the outcome!”

Lin Feng shrugged, then walked over to Tang Wan. He took a pen and paper and quickly wrote a prescription.

“My dear Miss Tang, isn’t it just a formula for a beauty mask? Is there a need for you to grovel and beg others?”

“Have someone take this prescription to study it. Make a sample first. Once the sample test is successful, mass production will follow.”

Lin Feng stated nonchalantly.

Tang Wan took the prescription Lin Feng had written, unsure whether to be happy or dejected.

Ultimately, she still had to rely on this man!

“Grandpa, look how full of himself he is, just casually writing something and acting like it’s a big deal!”

“Do you know how long my grandfather takes to research a formula? Without years of repeated experiments, it’s impossible!”

“Also, Ms. Tang, do you really believe him?”

Lu Jingzhe was a bit bewildered. Tang Wan was, after all, the chairman of Shengtang Group. How could she allow someone like Lin Feng, who lacked manners, to act so recklessly here?

What’s more, Tang Wan wasn’t even angry; she seemed to be indulging Lin Feng.

Lu Jingzhe truly couldn’t understand it!

“I believe him!”

Tang Wan answered Lu Jingzhe firmly.

“Grandpa, let’s go. There’s nothing more to discuss!”

“They are too disrespectful!”

Lu Jingzhe was speechless and, furious, tried to pull Lu Qingyun away.

However, Lu Qingyun remained unmoved. He looked at the prescription in Tang Wan’s hand, his eyes widening.

Especially when he saw a few of the herbs listed on the prescription, his eyes were filled with shock.

“Grandpa, what are you looking at? We should leave!”

Seeing Lu Qingyun frozen in place, Lu Jingzhe tugged at his sleeve.

Lu Qingyun still didn’t move. A layer of mist had inexplicably formed in his cloudy eyes. After a long moment, he trembled and said, “Ms. Tang, could I please have a look at the prescription? Just one glance is enough!”

“This?”

Tang Wan hesitated, her gaze seeking Lin Feng’s.

“Let him have a look. It’s not a particularly great formula, anyway. I can write better ones anytime, anywhere!”

Lin Feng said indifferently.

Tang Wan then handed the prescription to Lu Qingyun.

Lu Qingyun received the prescription as if it were a priceless treasure. His trembling hands fumbled in his inner pocket and pulled out a pair of reading glasses. He eagerly began to examine it.

“Grandpa, what’s so special about this prescription? These herbs are very common? Do you really have to be like this?”

Lu Jingzhe glanced at the prescription, completely baffled. In all the years she had been with her grandfather, this was the first time she had seen him so flustered.

Lu Qingyun wiped away tears from his eyes and said excitedly, “Jingzhe, you don’t understand. Although the herbs in this prescription are as common as can be, their combination is simply a divine creation that defies imagination!”

“Look, he has combined honey with bitter chicory, along with aloe and forsythia. What’s most astonishing is that this formula also uses bitter herbs!”

“This, this is simply the thinking of a divine being! I’ve been practicing medicine for years, constantly seeking rare and precious medicinal ingredients. Only today have I discovered that common herbs can be combined in such a way!”

“I am humbled, old man. My past several decades have been lived in vain!”

Lu Qingyun held the prescription, tears streaming down uncontrollably. He even clasped his hands towards Lin Feng, as if worshipping him!

At this moment, Lu Jingzhe was stunned.

She looked at her tearful grandfather and could deeply feel his inner turmoil.

Could this guy really be as amazing as Grandpa said?

Just as Lu Jingzhe fell into thought, Lu Qingyun suddenly knelt before Lin Feng.

“Master, please accept this old man as your disciple. I am willing to join Shengtang Group without compensation, as long as Master allows me to follow you and learn. I’m even willing to invest some money!”

Lu Qingyun said with tears streaming down his face, even kowtowing twice to Lin Feng.

This scene was not only unbelievable to Lu Jingzhe, but it also startled Tang Wan.

Lin Feng, however, remained unfazed. “I told you, you are not worthy of being my disciple. Moreover, you only have a month left to live, so you should go back and prepare for your funeral!”

“You, you are still cursing my grandfather!”

Lu Jingzhe clenched her fists, looking ready to confront Lin Feng.

“Jingzhe, do not be disrespectful! The master’s medical skills are heaven-defying. If he says I only have a month to live, he must have his reasons!”

Lu Qingyun rebuked Lu Jingzhe, completely convinced by Lin Feng’s extraordinary medical prowess.

“Alright, seeing as you’re somewhat sensible, I’ll tell you why you only have a month to live!”

Lin Feng smiled and pointed to Lu Qingyun’s chest. “In the past three months, have you often felt palpitations and had urges to faint?”

“Yes, I thought it was due to low blood sugar!”

Lu Qingyun answered truthfully.

“Completely wrong! It’s not low blood sugar. Your heart is about to detach!”

Lin Feng wagged his finger.

The moment these words were spoken, it was like a thunderclap. Lu Qingyun and Lu Jingzhe were both stunned.

A detached heart – this was a matter of life and death!
