Chapter 248 A Fierce Operation

Fang Tian stood frozen.

As Guo Pin had said, at this moment, her heart felt like it was being repeatedly scorched on a stove. The intense sense of humiliation made her want to pounce forward and tear that offensive work to shreds.

"This is impossible. She must have cheated. I am Fang Tian, she's just a pretty face with no substance. How could she possibly be better than me?" Fang Tian yelled in frustration.

Quan Jiu's lips curled into a mocking smile. "The most tragic thing for a person is to not see themselves clearly. Do you have any idea of your own worth?"

"Impossible." Fang Tian descended into madness, knocking over the embroidery frame in front of her. Then, as if possessed, she repeated, "Yun Lan Ge plagiarized my designs. This is an undeniable fact."

"Heh..." Quan Jiu chuckled, looking at Fang Tian with pity. "The notebook you're holding, I believe, was manufactured at least this year."

"Nonsense..."

"As for how to prove it, I just need to find the manufacturer and check the production batch. It will be perfectly clear."

Quan Jiu interrupted Fang Tian's sophistry and continued, "However, the designs in your album are works from Yun Lan Ge several years ago. I'd like to ask, how did you use designs from several years ago in a notebook produced this year?"

Fang Tian's eyes flickered, but she remained defiant. "This is a sketchbook I bought years ago. Who said it was produced this year?"

"It doesn't matter if you admit it or not. Whether the designs in your album were completed recently or accumulated over many years is not for you or me to decide. Forensic experts will provide the accurate account."

Hua Qing added timely, "I have already reported this to the police. Fang Tian not only disrupted the order of the Yun Lan Ge show but also repeatedly slandered and plagiarized Yun Lan Ge's works. This time, Yun Lan Ge will pursue the matter to the end."

"Get off the stage. Why are you still standing there?" someone impatiently shouted.

Fang Tian was panicked. She scanned the audience, but couldn't find Li Wei or the瓮 Yin mother and daughter. Even the members of the inspection team had disappeared at some point.

She then looked for Yun Shu and quickly spotted her at the back of the crowd. Unfortunately, Yun Shu's face had turned as black as the bottom of a pot. She shot Fang Tian a fierce glare and turned to leave the show.

At this point, Fang Tian was completely without support.

She gritted her teeth, looking resentfully at the audience and the numerous cameras.

"These are my designs, my designs..."

Besides mechanically repeating those words to numb herself, she had no other recourse.

Just then, a group of police officers entered the show. Seeing this, Hua Qing quickly went down to greet them. Shortly after, the police officers approached Fang Tian, spoke a string of official-sounding words, and then, without further ado, took Fang Tian away.

Fang Tian finally became scared. She dodged and weaved, trying to escape the show, but she was no match for the professionals. She was quickly apprehended.

The audience members applauded, while Fang Tian kicked and cursed amidst the applause. However, her curses did not stir any anger in the crowd, for she now resembled a stray dog.

After Fang Tian was taken away, the reporters began editing their videos and compiling their news. The audience's enthusiasm remained undimmed, as three prominent figures were still on stage, and everyone wanted a photo with them.

Quan Jiu, while the three seniors were still being mobbed, slipped away from the crowd and went backstage.

The backstage staff were excitedly taking out their phones to take pictures, and even wanted to take photos with Quan Jiu.

Quan Jiu felt both amused and helpless by the staff's enthusiasm, but she didn't have time at the moment. She could only promise to treat everyone to dinner that evening and then asked others to handle the aftermath. To Hua Qing, she said, "Wait for me outside, and find a reporter."

Hua Qing asked no further questions, agreed, and hurried out through the back door.

Quan Jiu then walked back to the audience seats, returning to her own spot.

"Mom," she called apologetically as she approached her seat.

Yuan Zijun's eyes crinkled into a smile as she pulled Quan Jiu towards her, showing her off to others. "This is my daughter, Jiu'er."

The wealthy ladies expressed envy or admiration. Some acquaintances asked curiously, "Sister Yuan, when did you get such a beautiful and capable daughter?"

Yuan Zijun smiled proudly. "I've had her for a long time, but Jiu'er studied abroad for several years and only returned this year."

The questioner nodded in understanding, likely thinking she was her goddaughter. She then joked, "Your son and daughter are both good-looking and capable. You'll have plenty of choices for future sons-in-law and daughters-in-law."

Yuan Zijun glanced instinctively at her son standing in the corner and chuckled. "Indeed. Anyone who can match Jiu'er must be one in a million."

"Has Jiu'er been proposed to? How about my son? He's good-looking, tall, and has studied abroad. You'll definitely have common topics." The speaker seized the opportunity.

Yuan Zijun grinned, becoming even more enthusiastic. "Then when should they meet? Young people..."

Chu Rong, who had been silently watching Quan Jiu from the corner, suddenly frowned. He strode forward, took Quan Jiu's hand, and walked out.

"What are you doing?" Quan Jiu was caught off guard and pulled along. Her high heels were difficult to manage, and she could only follow helplessly.

The wealthy lady who was talking to Yuan Zijun froze, looking at Yuan Zijun somewhat bewilderedly.

Yuan Zijun let out a dry chuckle. "The brother and sister have a good relationship. My son is a sister-complex."

...

Outside the show, Chu Rong released her hand and then busied himself with his phone.

Quan Jiu was annoyed. If she weren't waiting for Chu Rong's mother, she would have turned and left immediately.

After a short wait, Chu Rong's mother came out. Before Quan Jiu could speak, Chu Rong preemptively said calmly, "I've bought you and Dad plane tickets to Country B. You depart in three hours."

Quan Jiu was stunned and looked at Chu Rong in disbelief.

Yuan Zijun was taken aback, then frowned. "I'm not leaving. I still need to find a husband for my daughter."

"Dad is already on his way to the airport. I've asked Chen Ma and Old Li to send your luggage to you."

Yuan Zijun was bewildered. "When did your dad go to the airport? What is he going to the airport for?"

"Just now. For a world tour."

Chu Rong displayed his phone screen, which boldly stated: "Dad, go to the international airport. Mom is waiting for you at the airport. Luggage will be sent to you tonight," along with flight information.

Yuan Zijun pointed at Chu Rong, furious. "You... you little brat, you dare to lie to your dad?"

"The distance from here to the airport is shorter than from the old house to the airport. If you leave now, you'll arrive half an hour earlier than Dad."

Chu Rong sent another flight information message to Yuan Zijun.

As Yuan Zijun received the message, she also received a message from Chu Zhenhua.

"Wife, I'm on my way, almost there. Go have a cup of coffee first, don't just wait."

Yuan Zijun was almost laughing and crying. She gritted her teeth and gestured wildly, then reluctantly pulled Quan Jiu. "Jiu'er, your father has already left, I'm going to find him. You..."

She glared fiercely at Chu Rong. "Stay away from this brat."

Chu Rong glanced at his watch. "I bought Dad a ticket for two hours from now. You can change it when you get there. If you miss it, you'll take the next flight."

Good heavens. Yuan Zijun gritted her teeth. "You win." She then said goodbye to Quan Jiu multiple times and hurried away.

Quan Jiu stared at Chu Rong, dumbfounded. After a long moment, she closed her eyes speechlessly, took a deep breath, turned, and went to find Hua Qing.
