Time passed quickly, and it was the day before the training performance.
Early that morning, the students of Class B gathered at the entrance of the school cafeteria.
Tian Cheng, Cui Min, and a few others from Class A training emerged from the cafeteria and happened to see a group from Class B enthusiastically discussing something.
Cui Min sneered, "Heh, I thought it was someone important, making such a fuss. Turns out it's just a bunch of stragglers."
Her voice wasn't quiet, and the students from Class B all heard her.
Zhuang Yu's face darkened, and he pointed at Cui Min's nose, scolding, "If you can't speak properly, don't open your mouth."
Cui Min was furious and was about to retort when Tian Cheng stopped her, saying, "A mixed bag of people. They'll be embarrassed on stage tomorrow. Don't waste time with them now."
Xiang Fei retorted indignantly, "Who will be embarrassed is not yet decided. We'll see."
Yu Zhuang laughed heartily, "Xiang Fei, I know you're joking, but that's too funny. Forget the performance, you can't even beat us in regular exams. Aren't you afraid of your tongue getting twisted by the wind?"
"Stop arguing, the bus is here," Han Zhao reminded Xiang Fei.
Xiang Fei rolled his eyes and then looked at the approaching bus.
The bus stopped in the open space at the cafeteria entrance. Quan Jiu got off the bus and asked Han Zhao, "Are all the people here?"
"Yes," Han Zhao nodded.
"Then everyone get on the bus," Quan Jiu said to the others.
The students were delighted and boarded the bus one by one. However, just as half of them had gotten on, Yan Chi, who had rushed over, called them to a halt.
"Teacher Nine," Yan Chi led a middle-aged female teacher in her forties to Quan Jiu. "This is Professor Pan Fengming, a stage teacher from the Performing Arts Department. Tomorrow is the performance, and today she will provide guidance on the stage for both your classes to present better stage effects tomorrow."
Quan Jiu first greeted Pan Fengming with a smile and then said to Yan Chi, "Then I'll be back early." She had already requested leave from Yan Chi yesterday to take the students out for practical experience.
Unexpectedly, Pan Fengming looked displeased and said, "Tomorrow is the performance. Although it's just a stage performance, many reporters and entertainment companies will be present, which relates to the school's honor."
Quan Jiu smiled, "The students you teach are all very good. I believe they will definitely not disgrace your esteemed school."
Pan Fengming's expression turned stern. "If you don't understand, I'll be blunt. Tomorrow is the performance. What are you taking them out for today? I will be at the school all day today, inspecting the stages of both your classes. If there are any problems, we can adjust and revise them promptly to avoid embarrassment tomorrow."
Quan Jiu glanced at Yan Chi with a troubled expression. "Then I will definitely be back by 3 PM. Mainly, Class B's schedule for today has already been arranged, and I also requested leave from Teacher Yan yesterday."
Yan Chi nodded, "Returning at 3 PM will be just right."
Pan Fengming frowned, her voice rising slightly. "Is she the teacher or am I the teacher? She has so much authority that I have to wait for her? This is a task assigned by the school. Do you think I'm willing to waste time giving guidance otherwise?"
After all, she was a senior professor, and Yan Chi couldn't argue too much, so he could only try to smooth things over. "Teacher Nine wants to take the students out for practical experience..."
"Hmph, instead of teaching students properly, she's just pulling these pretentious stunts. If you take them out today, it's called practical experience, but in reality, you're just taking them to play. Don't think I don't know what's on your mind: building good relationships with students, making them like you. You're not a teacher at all, you're a playmate."
"Professor Pan, that's a bit harsh," Yan Chi interrupted. "Teacher Nine teaches very well."
"She teaches well? Better than my decades of teaching experience?" Pan Fengming said angrily.
Seeing that Yan Chi was about to argue further, Quan Jiu advised, "Alright, we'll have a rehearsal in the morning and go out in the afternoon."
Pan Fengming's expression twisted. "You're so amazing, you're even assigning me work? Don't I have my own things to do in the morning?
Also, you are Class B, don't you understand the order of precedence? I will definitely guide Class A first before coming to your Class B. You all go to the performance room and wait. I'll find your Class B when Class A is finished."
Quan Jiu smiled slightly and said to Yan Chi, "Although it's none of my business, if you don't know how to conduct yourself, how can you teach others? Don't mislead the students."
Then she said to the Class B students, "Everyone get on the bus in order. We're ready to depart."
Seeing that Quan Jiu completely disregarded her, Pan Fengming's face turned red with anger. "I've eaten more salt than you've walked. How dare you challenge me? Fine, you're capable, and your Class B certainly doesn't need guidance. But I advise you to wear a hood tomorrow to avoid looking ridiculous."
Quan Jiu, along with thirty-six students, all boarded the bus, and soon, the bus disappeared at the end of the campus.
Pan Fengming cursed angrily, "After teaching students for two days, you really think you're a teacher. Look at yourself, what a demeanor. If you really become a teacher, the students you teach will probably all be trash."
Tian Cheng, Cui Min, and the others, who had been watching the spectacle with great interest, stepped forward. Tian Cheng said obsequiously, "Professor Pan is right. They are indeed the underdogs. Knowing they can't compare to our Class A, they're just trying to attract attention."
Although Yan Chi couldn't openly argue with Pan Fengming, he could still reprimand the students. He scolded, "What kind of education have you had, stirring up trouble? You don't look like students at all."
Tian Cheng ignored Yan Chi's reprimand and pretentiously spoke to Cui Min, Gu Cheng, and Yu Zhuang about company matters. "Tomorrow, I will definitely sign with Tianyu. What about you guys?"
Gu Cheng touched his face. "Tianyu contacted me long ago. I can sign anytime."
Cui Min tossed her hair. "I'm definitely going to Tianyu too."
Yu Zhuang shook his head. "Tianyu is good, but there are too many top talents. Newcomers don't get good resources. I've already made arrangements with Tianhua. I'm going to Tianhua." Tianhua, although not as good as Tianyu, was still strong.
"I don't think any of Class B will be signed tomorrow," Cui Min said with a smile.
"Han Zhao will definitely be signed. Tianyu has wanted to sign Han Zhao for a long time," Gu Cheng said.
The four walked and talked, heading towards the Performing Arts building.
...
Meanwhile, Quan Jiu and the Class B students left A University on the bus.
On the way, Xiang Fei was still upset about the earlier incident. "Tian Cheng, Gu Cheng, and the others are all arrogant. After graduation, society will teach them how to behave."
"You reminded me. Let's take this opportunity to review our lines again," Ren Kui took out his script.
Thinking of the arrogant demeanor of Class A, the other students also took out their scripts, and for a while, the bus was filled with the sound of reciting lines.
Zhuang Yu had already memorized his lines thoroughly, so he started chatting with Quan Jiu, asking curiously, "Teacher Nine, where are we going today?"
Quan Jiu smiled. "Don't have too high expectations. It's definitely not a place for eating, drinking, and having fun."
Ren Kui tapped Zhuang Yu on the head. "Hurry up and memorize your lines."
Forced by the diligent learning of the entire bus, Zhuang Yu had to take out his script and memorize his lines.
...
Soon, the bus stopped in front of a farmers' market. Quan Jiu called out eight names, including Zhuang Yu, and said, "I have rented a temporary butcher stall and a vegetable stall for you. Your task is to sell all the meat and vegetables by the end of today."
The surprise came too quickly, leaving Zhuang Yu stunned. He stared with wide eyes and asked in disbelief, "Teacher Nine, you're not joking, are you?"
"This is the price list for meat and vegetables." Quan Jiu handed Zhuang Yu and the others two pages, densely packed with various vegetable names and different cuts of pork, many of which they had never heard of.
Zhuang Yu looked at "Er Dao" on the price list, completely bewildered. "Teacher Nine, we don't recognize these. How can we sell them?"
"Your nose points the way. This farmers' market is very large, and you will encounter many 'colleagues'." Quan Jiu pushed the eight of them out of the bus without further ado. "We will gather here at 5:30 PM. If you don't finish, you'll have to work overtime."
After saying that, she told the driver to close the doors and drive away.
Zhuang Yu and the other eight looked at each other. Selling vegetables and meat was really a bit beyond their scope.
