Upon hearing Ye Ling’s words, the watcher’s eyes showed no surprise. Instead, a hint of mockery flashed within them as he chuckled, “Ye Ling, do you really think the little tricks you played during your divine sense separation went unnoticed by me?”

The watcher laughed, “Though the runes are ever-changing, your usage of them is still too immature. When I was taking over your divine sense, I immediately purged all the runes you had hidden within it.”

Upon hearing the watcher’s words, Ye Ling immediately attempted to activate his runes and, finding himself unable to detonate his divine sense, despair surged into his eyes as he retreated repeatedly.
“How could this be? It’s over now.” Ye Ling despaired, his face turning ashen.
Seeing Ye Ling’s despair, the watcher’s smile widened, and he burst into laughter, “Hahaha! Ye Ling, your current expression is truly delightful!”
“For making me so happy, I’ll give you another chance!”
“As long as you are willing to sign a contract with me and become my envoy, I will spare your life. What do you say?”
Ye Ling looked at the black orb of light before him, pursed his lips, and then said to the watcher, “If I defect to you, Shan’e will not let me go!”
“Haha! Don’t worry, Shan’e and the others are wanted fugitives. They’re too busy hiding from me to dare show themselves!” the watcher declared with a laugh, his words laced with disdain for Shan’e.
“Ye Ling, with me protecting you, Shan’e and the others wouldn’t dare lay a hand on you! I think highly of your talent, and it would be a waste for you to die here. It’s much better to follow me; your future will be incredibly bright.”
