Ye Ling lay on the Soul Suppressing Ladder, half of his body enveloped in golden light, the other half shrouded in pitch-black dark power, making him appear extraordinarily peculiar.
Beside him, the World Extinguishing Spirit Fire watched Ye Ling with disbelief, trembling, “How is this possible? How can the power of the Soul Suppressing Ladder coexist so harmoniously with the dark power?”
When the World Extinguishing Spirit Fire saw Ye Ling unconscious, it had intended to ascend the Soul Suppressing Ladder to help Ye Ling absorb the dark power, preventing him from being devoured by it. For the Upper Realm Lord, controlling a special chosen one like Ye Ling was indeed good, but if Ye Ling could be completely annihilated, that would also be an acceptable outcome for the Upper Realm Lord.
The Eighth Star Pillar, in essence, had obtained the origin power of the Upper Realm Lord and was a second personality derived from Ye Ling’s consciousness.
It was an existence born because of the Upper Realm Lord, a loyal servant of the Upper Realm Lord, willing to sacrifice everything for the Upper Realm Lord’s interests!
