"Mr. Lu, we meet again." A black man said, sitting on a long sofa.
"Mr. Hela, this is not how you treat guests, is it?" Lu Liang said.
"Perhaps my brother misunderstood. I just heard you arrived in the city, and I told them to invite you over. I didn't expect this to happen," Hela said. "Please, sit."
"No, I won't sit. Tell me, what is it? Inviting us over so late at night."
"I heard your diamond explorations haven't found any diamonds. How about we cooperate?"
"You brought us here late at night just for this? I don't think it's that simple, is it?"
"I received the news the moment your ship docked. Since you're here, it won't make a difference to wait a little longer, right?"
"You want to mess with my ship? When did you get such a big appetite? Be careful not to have indigestion."
"Don't speak so harshly. You've gone too far in the past, leaving these brothers with no other choice but to take risks."
"I've paid you the money, not a penny less. If you're not satisfied, you can talk with money."
"I know your backing is strong and your capital is vast. We small vendors can't compare to your wealth. You've cut off the brothers' source of income, so we have to find another way."
"How about this, I just took on a small job these past two days, investing in Chief Chick's diamond mine and taking over the gold mine that Chief Chick and Chief Vahadz jointly owned. I know you have a gold mine here. If you agree, I'm willing to help you sell it," Lu Liang said.
"When you say you took over Chief Chick and Chief Vahadz's jointly owned gold mine, do you mean you're helping them sell it?"
"How did you know?"
"I also know you invested a share."
"You're not the brother Chief Chick was talking about, are you?" Lu Liang was a bit stunned.
"Yes. But I didn't know you'd be coming here. When my brother said he saw you in the city today, I didn't quite believe him, so I had them invite you over. Who knew it would turn into such a misunderstanding. But you did go too far in the past, leaving these people unable to collect diamonds."
"My employers were in urgent need, so I had no choice but to raise the price. We're still short by a lot."
"Alright, let's put that issue aside for now. Was what you said about the gold sales true?"
"Of course. When have I ever lied? A gentleman's word is his bond."
Hela extended his hand upon hearing Lu Liang's words: "Pleasure cooperating!"
Lu Liang also extended his hand and said, "Pleasure cooperating!"
Guo Xuyang saw that it was truly a misunderstanding and quietly retreated back to the car.
He dialed Lu Liang's phone and asked, "Where are you? You're not answering your phone."
"I was busy just now and didn't get a chance to answer. I was just about to come find you, but I ran into something urgent. It's fine now. Where are you?"
"I'm not exactly sure where this is. Why don't you come to the shop where we were going to meet?"
"Okay, wait for me. I'll be there soon."
Guo Xuyang quietly drove back to the front of the shop.
As soon as he got out of the car, he was apprehended.
It turned out the car owner had called the police, and they didn't expect the car thief to dare to return.
Just as Guo Xuyang was about to be taken away, Lu Liang and Hela arrived together.
Hela said something to the person in charge, and Guo Xuyang was released.
"Yangzi, what's going on? Why are they saying you stole their car?"
"I saw you being driven away in the car from behind, and in my haste, I commandeered this vehicle."
"Commandeered? Were you following us all along?"
"Yes, but I lost you later." Guo Xuyang was lying with his eyes open.
Lu Liang didn't expose his lie, knowing that he had his reasons for saying so.
The four of them reunited.
"This is Hela, your partner," Lu Liang said, pointing to Hela. "He has shares in the gold mine in the Kurcz Grasslands."
"Hello, Mr. Hela. It's a pleasure to meet you," Guo Xuyang said, extending his hand.
"Hello, Mr. Guo? Is that right? It's a great pleasure to meet you," Hela said warmly.
"There was a slight misunderstanding just now. Let's go, I'll treat, and we can chat together."
He invited them.
Lu Liang was about to follow when Guo Xuyang pulled him aside and said, "I saw a nice tapestry just now. Go help me check the price."
"Mr. Hela, please wait a moment. My brother has taken a fancy to a tapestry. Why don't we go and take a look together?" Lu Liang said.
"Of course. What kind of tapestry did Mr. Guo take a liking to? Our local tapestries are quite famous," Hela said.
"A picture looked rather strange, and I'm not sure what its meaning is. I'm quite curious, so I want to buy it back to study," Guo Xuyang said.
"Oh, I wonder what kind of tapestry would pique Mr. Guo's curiosity? Let's go take a look together."
The group walked into the handicraft shop.
However, Guo Xuyang found that the place where the tapestry had just been hanging was now empty.
He asked Lu Liang to inquire about the tapestry.
The shopkeeper said that after Guo Xuyang left, a white man came in, took a liking to the tapestry, and bought it.
Since Guo Xuyang hadn't said he wanted to buy it at the time, it was sold to the white man.
Guo Xuyang was a bit annoyed; it wasn't like he was short on money; he should have just bought it then.
He asked, "Are there any more tapestries like this?"
The shopkeeper told him that the patterns were random and there were no tapestries with that pattern.
Undeterred, he asked, "Where do these tapestries come from?"
The shopkeeper told him that people brought these tapestries to his shop to sell, and he really didn't know where they came from.
This item was truly a matter of serendipity, and Guo Xuyang, seeing that he couldn't find out anything more, could only leave the shop with the others.
"What was so special about that tapestry that made you so reluctant to leave?" Lu Liang asked.
"Nothing really, it just felt a bit odd," Guo Xuyang replied.
He didn't want to tell them about these matters.
If he hadn't found the Eye of the Devil, he wouldn't have believed these things.
Seeing that he didn't want to say more, Lu Liang didn't press further.
The group followed Hela to a large hotel, which was his property.
"Friends, you have traveled far. I have prepared a humble feast. Please don't stand on ceremony," Hela said.
"Serve the dishes. Bring my red wine," he said to someone behind him.
It seemed Hela was also a generous person.
Guo Xuyang then had the opportunity to examine him more closely.
Hela was around forty years old, over 1.8 meters tall, powerfully built, with dark skin and slightly curly hair. His lips were a little thick, his eyes pitch black. He wore a gold watch on his wrist, and a well-fitting suit enhanced his overall aura.
