Chapter 1026 The Underground Prison

Ye Tian noted the map and asked, "What kind of people are imprisoned in the underground prison?"

Liu Zhishu replied, "For nearly a year, I have been investigating this matter. It is currently confirmed that at least ten of the people imprisoned inside are our personnel. Several of them may have been held here since the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression."

Ye Tian narrowed his eyes. "It has been ninety years since the War of Resistance. To be imprisoned for this long, they must be over a hundred years old. This indicates they are cultivators."

Liu Zhishu said, "I haven't been able to investigate the specifics. If you have the opportunity when you go to rescue them, you can investigate and see what kind of people are imprisoned there."

For the next period, Ye Tian meditated and cultivated. Around three in the morning, he set off for the vicinity of the underground prison.

He moved swiftly, appearing near a factory within ten minutes. There were no other buildings around, so he concluded that the entrance to the underground prison was hidden within this factory.

He found a secluded corner and extended his divine sense along the ground to explore the factory. The advantage of this was that he could get a general understanding of the factory's structure without alerting any powerful individuals.

After a few minutes, he discovered an elevator that descended hundreds of meters below ground.

Soon, he silently bypassed all surveillance and appeared near the elevator. Ren Ping had given him an invisibility cloak when he arrived. It was a high-tech product, and its effects were exceptionally good, especially when used by a master like Ye Tian.

He hid near the elevator entrance. In less than half a minute, a person in a black uniform walked over carrying takeout, pressed the fingerprint scanner, and the elevator door opened.

As the person entered the elevator, Ye Tian followed, appearing behind him.

The elevator door closed and began its descent. After more than ten seconds, the elevator stopped. When it opened, Ye Tian saw a large hall ahead, with many people walking around.

The person walked out with his items, greeting others in similar uniforms along the way.

Ye Tian did not follow him further. With the invisibility cloak, he began to explore the underground. It was a very complex underground facility, likely built during World War II.

The ground was covered with moisture-proof carpets, and the surrounding walls were made of steel plates. Everyone here wore uniforms of different colors. There were men and women among them, and they all appeared relaxed.

Shortly after entering, he saw a structural diagram posted on a central wall, marking different areas and their respective supervisors.

Just as he finished looking at the map, a staff member ran out of a passageway, looking terrified. Several people went up to inquire, and the person spoke at length.

Ye Tian understood Japanese. What he said was that the monster had attacked him with mental power again, causing him to fall into an illusion and nearly strangle himself.

Ye Tian's heart stirred, and he walked towards that passageway. The passageway was over thirty meters long and about five meters wide. On each side, there were three doors, each with a label bearing a name.

Within this passageway, there were three doors on the left and two on the right, with another door at the end, making a total of seven doors!

Ye Tian could recognize the names on the labels, but he walked to the very end without finding Silver Fox's name. It seemed she was not imprisoned here.

As he approached the seventh door at the end, he felt a divine sense envelop him. His heart moved, and he observed carefully, noticing a password lock on the door, as well as a card swiping area.

Just then, the panicked person who had left earlier arrived with two colleagues. After a brief exchange, they entered the password and swiped the card to open the door.

The space inside the door was large, with steel plates lining the surroundings. In a corner sat a man, gaunt but tall, with over a dozen fiber materials piercing his body, some through his bones. He was also bound by shackles made of special alloy on his hands and feet.

One of them cursed at the man and pressed a button on the wall. Immediately, scalding water sprayed from above the man's head.
