Tang Li arrived at the Jiangcheng Military Research Institute as dusk was settling.
Lately, Tang Li had been traveling between Jiangcheng and the F City base, spending ten hours on the road each day, not to mention the time spent transporting goods.
Although she could fly using her mecha or hire a driver, it was ultimately inconvenient.
If she could have a simulated robot utilizing quantum communication technology and remotely controlled via a brain-computer interface, she wouldn't have to rush back and forth.
Her main body could be at the F City base, with a clone in Jiangcheng.
Furthermore, through the replication function of her space, she could create multiple robotic clones and station them in different locations.
She could then control these remote clones from thousands of miles away via a brain-computer interface.
At that point, except for personally retrieving replicated supplies from her space when stocking up, all other tasks could be delegated to her clone robots.
Arriving at the workshop behind Song Pinxuan's laboratory, Song Pinxuan was already waiting.
"This is the wireless brain-controlled robot utilizing quantum communication technology that we've built according to your specifications."
Song Pinxuan led Tang Li into a separate assembly room.
Inside the assembly room, an already assembled robot stood quietly.
The robot's face was a perfect replica of Tang Li's, scaled one-to-one based on her features. Even the hair was something Tang Li had provided from her space.
Tang Li hadn't expected that the hair she'd kept from a haircut before the apocalypse would prove useful here.
As for the other parts of the body, they appeared identical to Tang Li's integrated mechanical exoskeleton, but the internal structure was completely different, and its functions were not as powerful as her own.
After all, it was meant to operate far from Tang Li, and she couldn't constantly replicate energy from her space to replace depleted reserves, so she hadn't planned for it to handle overly complex tasks.
The robot's body was primarily designed for energy storage, and it had been equipped with foldable solar panels that could be extended at any time to supplement energy, especially during the current extreme heat season.
Song Pinxuan handed Tang Li a brain-computer interface helmet and asked, "Would you like to try it?"
Tang Li examined it closely. This brain-computer interface helmet was similar to those in the mechanical exoskeleton and combat mechas, with the only difference being the absence of a connecting cable.
Taking the wireless brain-computer interface helmet from Song Pinxuan, a familiar sensation washed over her.
Tang Li felt as though something new had been added to her mind.
Closing her eyes, she switched her perspective to the robot and commanded it to stand up.
While sitting in the assembly room, Tang Li controlled the robot to take a walk outside. She felt no discomfort.
Apart from her senses not being as sharp as her own, all other sensations were identical.
Even when she touched the layer of metal on the robot's exterior, which resembled the mechanical exoskeleton, the sensors within the metal transmitted the corresponding sensations.
Upon its return, Tang Li directly controlled the robotic clone and asked Song Pinxuan, "Can this wireless brain-controlled robot directly control the combat mecha?"
"Of course, but there's no need for that."
Song Pinxuan replied while holding up two other devices.
He first raised a square device and explained, "This is the signal receiver for the quantum communication brain-computer interface helmet. It can receive signals transmitted by the wireless brain-computer interface on your head."
"You can disconnect the cable that was originally connected to the brain-computer interface helmet inside the combat mecha and plug it into this receiver. Then, you can control the combat mecha from outside of it."
He then held up another cone-shaped device and introduced it, "This is the quantum communication brain-computer interface signal transmitter, which has been fitted with an interface for invasive brain-computer interfaces."
"If you plug this into the port of an invasive brain-computer interface, you can allow those who have installed invasive brain-computer interfaces to remotely control the brain-computer equipment connected to the receiver."
"However, the channels of the transmitter and receiver must be correctly tuned; otherwise, it could lead to control confusion. I've preset fifty channels on it, which should be sufficient for your needs."
Tang Li took the two devices and said politely, "Thanks."
"You're welcome. The emergence of these research achievements is partly due to you," Song Pinxuan stated.
Although Song Pinxuan was able to present these research findings now because his rebirth had provided him with memories from his past life, ultimately, he was the one who had conducted the research.
Tang Li didn't intend to take credit but didn't say much more.
Changing the subject, she asked, "Director Song, what are you planning to research next?"
Song Pinxuan did not conceal anything and replied, "Our next major focus will be on four projects: data brains, the metaverse, consciousness transfer technology, and the cloud world."
