Chapter 69: Chapter 69: A New Day, A New Chapter In Life
After the furious woman finished shouting to gather the crowd, she didn’t hesitate at all she lunged forward at once throwing punches and kicks at Vicky.
She aimed ruthlessly not minding the future descendants of his at all, even striking at his eyes.
And no she wasn’t alone at all.
The other college girls he had cheated also rushed at him some attacking with their high heels and others aiming their fingers toward his eyes.
Across the street, Alex stood with his hands in his pockets, quietly watching the scene unfold before his eyes.
He couldn’t help but sigh in amazement at the scene.
"As expected," he muttered under his breath, "women really are vicious when they fight, Don’t mess with them."
Vicky who was beaten black and blue could barely protect himself much less his little brother.
In his pain and humiliation his eyes wandered around to escape this somehow but suddenly, he spotted Alex standing across the street.
At once, everything became clear to him like daylight.
This must be a trap set by that rich man!
Otherwise how else could things have gone so badly?
In the past, no matter how many people he deceived no one ever dared to touch him, no one was able to find him.
But ever since he ran into Alex yesterday, his luck had spiraled downward from there.
If it was not a trap set by that smug man standing across the street, then who else could it be?
Alex noticed his gaze.
He didn’t say a word yet he simply lifted his hand and raised his middle finger at him, eyes full of disdain.
He had no respect for men who lived off by scamming women out of their money.
"It’s you!" Vicky roared hoarsely, his swollen face contorting in rage. "So it was you all along!"
His voice cracked with fury.
But before he could say more—
Smack!
The woman from the earlier slapped him across the face so hard that his head nearly spun sideways.
Then the other victims too want to mark their palm prints on his face, so they began raining fists and kicks onto him without mercy.
They all stomped on his legs atleast once, pummeled his ribs, and targeted his most vulnerable spots.
Some of the women kicked him again and again below the waist at his manhood, without the slightest hesitation.
At that moment, the old proverb proved true: A most vicious heart is most vividly revealed in a woman’s anger.
The crowd gathered quickly, whispering among themselves as they watched.
"Sure enough, this fight is something else."
"Haha, yeah. Brutal."
"He must have done something terrible to offend so many women."
"I heard he’s a scammer, he seems to trick innocent college girls into buying him dinner and exort money from them."
"Oh, that explains it."
When the truth spread through the onlookers, people suddenly understood.
Heads began to nod in unison.
By the time the police finally arrived again, Vicky was barely recognizable.
If they had come any time later, he might not have made it out alive.
He was carried into the ambulance with serious injuries. His lower body, in particular, had suffered the worst if he hadn’t been rushed to the hospital for emergency treatment at time, he might never have had descendants again.
Alex watched silently as the ambulance drove away. The corners of his mouth curved into a faint smile. He didn’t need to say a word.
That evening, he sat down with Satyansh for drinks.
After a few cups, Satyansh admitted something. Sophie had come looking for him again, but after everything that had happened his feelings towards her had changed for the greater good.
"I don’t care for her like I used to," Satyansh confessed, shaking his head. "It’s... it’s just not the same anymore between us."
Alex listened quietly, letting the confession hang in the air as the night deepened.
And so finally this marks as the end of the Vicky’s life Chapter.

The newsroom of a Mumbai daily was buzzing as usual. Editor-in-Chief Ritesh Singh as usual was going though at the trending topics on his phone, muttered to himself:
"Security guards are a bit on fire lately... maybe we could even run a feature on this."
On his screen was a trending video circulating on Instagram and YouTube Shorts: "Security guard on 24-hour duty, dies suddenly."
The short clip showed a conversation between a young blogger and a weary-looking security guard standing outside an industrial estate in Andheri MIDC.
The blogger asked, "Sir, most people think being a security guard is an easy job. Why did your colleague suddenly pass away due to it?"
The guard shook his head and replied with a tired smile:
"What you see is only the surface brother. Being a guard looks simple, but it’s very hard.
We often do 12-hour day shifts, 12-hour night shifts... sometimes even 24 hours straight shifts.
And we have to be alert the whole time, watching our surroundings, not dozing off at all.
The mind gets too exhausted to handle and the body too began to ache so much to bear."
He went on:
"Outdoor guards like us stand here whether it’s peak summer, heavy monsoon, or cold winter nights.
Even those inside the small booths aren’t comfortable at all the cabins are so tiny so stuffy sitting inside in it all day feels so suffocating.
It takes a great toll on health for us.
One of my colleagues collapsed while on duty last week.
After this month, I’m quitting too from this job. I would rather be alive than die on this job."
The raw honesty in his words struck a nerve of everyone hearing them.
The video exploded online, soon garnering millions of views and over 100,000 comments in less than a day.
The comment section was flooded with outrage:
"This industry is so exploitative of them. Who makes someone do 24-hour duty nowadays Huh? Are human lives worth nothing to these companies?"
"Oh my god... I always thought if nothing worked out, Atleast I can get a security guard job. But after this video, no way. It’s basically slow suicide."
"This broke my illusion about them. Being a guard isn’t a chill job like we thought it to be, it’s literally life-threatening so dangerous."
"The companies make them stand in the sun and rain like machines. Shame on those!"
"I’m going to reporting this company to the labour ministry at once. This is a crime."
The outrage was so strong that the topic trended on X and even made it to Mumbai’s hot search lists.
The sudden death of a guard had shattered the public’s perception of the profession.
For years, security guards were seen as people who sat around idle all day long, checking ID cards and half-dozing in their booths.
But this viral clip revealed the hidden reality to them: crushing hours, dangerous conditions, and a system of companies that pushed men to their graves early.
