Chapter 7 Disappear From My Sight

Rong Jingyang felt a flicker of curiosity as he watched the woman turn and get into the sports car.

What precious item was in the suitcase that made her lower her noble head? But the thought was fleeting. He, too, got into the driver's seat and drove towards the hospital.

Du Ruoxin bought a bottle of wine at the convenience store, then, carrying the bottle, gestured for Rong Jingyang to lead the way.

Rong Jingyang: "..."

Was she planning to smash Ai Wei again? Or have Ai Wei splash her back?

Since she had offered to apologize, it should be the latter.

A hint of strangeness flashed across Rong Jingyang's stern features, but it quickly returned to coldness.

In the VIP luxury ward, Ai Wei lay alone in bed, her eyes bandaged, looking dejected.

The high-proof alcohol Du Ruoxin had splashed hadn't reached her eyes, but how could she miss such a golden opportunity?

So she dipped her hand in the wine on her face and irritated her eyes.

Rong Jingyang doted on her, and perhaps tonight...

His thoughts were interrupted by the "bang" of the door opening. Ai Wei lifted her head, "A Jing, is that you?"

"I'm in so much pain..."

Disgusting!

Listening to Ai Wei's pitiful, sympathy-seeking voice, Du Ruoxin was greatly angered and couldn't help but retort, "Miss Ai, if you're in pain, call the doctor."

"Why are you calling my husband?"

"My husband isn't a public pain reliever."

The man who was scolded: "————"

He reached out and grabbed Du Ruoxin, who looked like she was about to devour someone, and walked to the bedside. He picked up the call button and said, "Doctor, please come here."

Du Ruoxin glanced sideways at her husband's concerned profile for another woman, and felt as if millions of ants were gnawing at her heart.

Why was he holding her so tightly? Was he afraid she would swing the wine bottle at Ai Wei's head?

"Miss Ai, you don't need to be alarmed." Du Ruoxin had already lost the battle, so she couldn't lose the war. She could only feign calmness. "It was my fault just now, I shouldn't have called you a mistress in front of so many people."

"Please forgive me."

"I've been spoiled by my husband for the past few years, becoming a bit naive and sweet."

"I don't understand social graces very well."

"Please be more understanding."

Ai Wei: "?"

Was this an apology?

Du Ruoxin was apologizing to her?

No, what kind of apology was this? It was clearly showing off!

Just as Ai Wei was about to call Rong Jingyang, Du Ruoxin waved the wine in her hand and continued, "If you don't feel that you've had enough, here, take the wine. I'll let you splash it back."

"But my mother-in-law is coming back tomorrow."

"If you accidentally splash it into my eyes, I'll also be wearing bandages, and my mother-in-law will definitely be heartbroken."

"Once my mother-in-law is heartbroken, and she investigates carefully."

"My husband will probably get beaten."

"You wouldn't want to see my husband get beaten, would you?"

"But if you really can't swallow this anger, how about this, you splash my husband."

"I made a mistake, and he will be punished."

"This is called being one with your spouse, sharing honor and disgrace."

Ai Wei: "..."

Rong Jingyang, who was being shared in honor and disgrace: "..."

The two of them were stunned by Du Ruoxin's nonsensical logic.

After a long while, Ai Wei was the first to react. Her lips pursed, her eyes turned red, and her voice was laced with a hint of a sob, "A Jing, tell her to leave!"

"I don't want to see her!"

Before Rong Jingyang could speak, Du Ruoxin preempted him, "So, Miss Ai, you've forgiven me?"

Ai Wei: Forgiven your head!

"Cough, cough, cough, cough—"

"You, you—"

Rong Jingyang saw Ai Wei becoming increasingly agitated and worried about worsening her condition. Moreover, Du Ruoxin wasn't here to apologize at all.

He pushed her away, "Get out!"

Du Ruoxin stumbled a few steps, almost falling.

Her heart, already numb with pain, seemed unable to bear more.

She looked directly at the gloomy man and said stubbornly, "Give me back my suitcase."

The answer she received was Rong Jingyang's voice, so cold it sent shivers down her spine, "Before I get angry, disappear from my sight within three seconds."

Du Ruoxin didn't believe him.

She stood still.

Only her pair of cold, almond-shaped eyes were fixed on the man's face.

Rong Jingyang, I raised your daughter and was filial to your parents, and you're getting angry at me for a mistress?

You—

Rong Jingyang impatiently grabbed her and dragged her out of the room.

"Bang!"

He pinned her against the corridor wall, his eyes sharp, almost gritting his teeth, "Can you just behave yourself!"

"Ah—"

Du Ruoxin frowned.

Rong Jingyang was hurting her, and worse, he was scolding her?

As if to highlight how disheveled and unsightly she was, Ai Wei deliberately called out loudly, "Jing, where are you?"

"Don't leave me."

"My eyes hurt so much..."

Rong Jingyang strode to the bedside and supported Ai Wei, who was almost rolling off the bed, saying gently, "Don't be afraid, I'm not leaving."

Du Ruoxin's strength drained away the moment the man turned and left.

This was the man she had loved for seven years.

How much did he hate her, how much did he dislike her, to be so heartless, so cruel to her?

Du Ruoxin stumbled away.

But where could she go?

All her belongings were in Rong Jingyang's hands.

With blurred vision, Du Ruoxin took out her phone and sent him a message: [I'll wait for you in the parking lot.]

After getting off the elevator, Du Ruoxin pressed her aching chest and walked to the Koenigsegg.

Don't get angry, don't get angry...

Du Ruoxin, you can't get angry.

You're about to divorce Rong Jingyang, so who will pity you or take care of you if you get sick from anger?

Deep breaths!

Deep breaths!

Du Ruoxin took deep breaths over and over again. She thought a hundred deep breaths would calm her down, but one hundred after another...

She didn't know how many hundreds she had taken, but she couldn't dispel the cruelty he had shown her from her mind.

She was really so angry.

Was Rong Jingyang blind to abandon a good wife like her and fall for that green tea bitch Ai Wei?

No!

If they made her suffer, she wouldn't let them have it easy either!

Du Ruoxin quietly hid aside.

Two hours later, she finally saw Rong Jingyang coming down looking sheepish.

Du Ruoxin immediately hid herself.

Rong Jingyang got into the car and looked around. Seeing no sign of Du Ruoxin, he frowned. Didn't she say she would wait for him in the parking lot?

That woman was acting strangely today, he wondered...

Rong Jingyang stepped on the accelerator and drove away from the garage.

Du Ruoxin watched the Koenigsegg disappear around the corner, her expression hardening. She turned and went to the ward.

Two hours...

Rong Jingyang had been with Ai Wei for two hours. She wondered if they had done anything intimate?

Enduring her disgust and heartache, Du Ruoxin pushed open the ward door.

"Miss Ai, I have two pieces of news for you, one good and one bad. Which one do you want to hear first?" she said coldly.

"Du Ruoxin?" Ai Wei sat up warily.

She raised her hand to shield her face, instinctively trying to prevent Du Ruoxin from hurting her, but then, she put it down.

If Du Ruoxin hit her, she'd let her.

After all, the harder Du Ruoxin hit her, the more Rong Jingyang would care about her.

Ai Wei even began to look forward to Du Ruoxin losing her temper and control.

"If you don't choose, I'll choose for you." Seeing that Ai Wei wasn't speaking, Du Ruoxin knew she had too many thoughts and was probably scheming something. She said directly, "I'll tell you the good news first."

"I've decided to divorce Rong Jingyang."

Ai Wei: "..."

Divorce?

Du Ruoxin said divorce?

Is it true? Is it true? Is it true?

Is this not an illusion?

Has she finally waited for this day?

For a moment, Ai Wei was almost overjoyed and almost cried out in excitement.

"Happy? Do you want to open champagne to celebrate?" Du Ruoxin glanced at her twitching face, her eyes as cold as sharp knives. "But there's also bad news."

Ai Wei straightened her neck. Although her eyes were covered by bandages and she couldn't see, she followed Du Ruoxin's voice.

Her gentle voice was truly pitiful, "Ruoxin, you've misunderstood. I'm your best friend..."

Pah!

Don't insult the word "friend"!

From the moment she saw Ai Wei's intentions towards Rong Jingyang, they were no longer friends.

Du Ruoxin's breathing quickened, and she coldly interrupted, "The bad news is, after I divorce Rong Jingyang, his second, third, fourth, and every subsequent wife will never be you."

"You, Ai Wei."

"I have the ability to crush your dream of marrying into wealth and make the Rong family despise you."
