Chapter 301: Chapter 301: What do you think of Mason Bennett?
Seeing her in a daze, Daniel Green continued to speak.
"Someone like Mason Bennett isn’t someone we can mess with. Right now, he’s treating you well, but what if he finds out you’re deceiving him? Can he tolerate being deceived by a little girl?"
What Daniel Green said was reasonable, leaving Bella Green speechless for a while.
Right now, she can interact with Mason Bennett without restraint, mainly because she knows deep down that Mason Bennett is indulging her.
Or perhaps, she had already become accustomed to such indulgence in her previous life.
Yet, the Mason Bennett of today is different from the one in the previous life; he likes her because he thinks she’s a boy.
The truth will eventually be revealed one day...
Bella Green’s face looked unpleasant as she stopped entangling with Daniel Green and turned to go back to her room.
Watching the girl’s back, a glimmer of worry flashed in Daniel Green’s eyes, but ultimately, he felt powerless...
...
Bella Green thought about this problem all night.
Previously, Fiona Grantham had also talked to her about it, but she hadn’t thought too deeply.
But now that her relationship with Mason Bennett has become so complex, it seems she cannot avoid thinking about it.
Perhaps she should just come clean to Mason Bennett and tell him that she’s a girl. That way, maybe just as they said, he would learn of her deceit and start to loathe her, distancing himself from her...
Clearly, this was the outcome she hoped for, so why was she feeling afraid?
Afraid to see Mason Bennett’s distant gaze and disgusted expression.
Bella Green closed her eyes and took a deep breath, feeling a mix of emotions swirling inside her.
All night long, images of Mason Bennett kept flipping through her mind, from the previous life to this one, happiness, anger, sorrow, and joy, every scene repeatedly surfaced.
As a result, early the next day, Bella Green left the house staring at the huge dark circles under her eyes.
Yesterday, she boasted too much, and after agreeing to Mason Bennett in the car, she called Joanna Ramsey to make plans to shop for clothes together.
When she got to the mall, her haggard appearance shocked Joanna Ramsey.
"Bella brother, were you out thieving last night?"
Bella Green sat on the bench, leaning her head on Joanna Ramsey’s shoulder, feeling weak.
"No, just had a nightmare, a particularly scary one."
Joanna Ramsey shivered just hearing it: "Okay, spare me the details, you savor it yourself."
As soon as the words were spoken, Bella Green gave her a resentful glance.
"Haha, come on, come on, let me treat you to coffee to wake you up." Joanna Ramsey said, directly pulling her towards the coffee shop.
After two big cups of coffee, Bella Green barely woke up, but her mood remained off.
"It seems like you didn’t just have a nightmare. Did you see a ghost?" Joanna Ramsey asked while sipping her coffee.
"Scarier than seeing a ghost."
"Alright." Joanna Ramsey decided not to continue asking.
"Uh, Joanna, let me ask you something. What do you think of Mason Bennett as a person?"
Joanna Ramsey paused at the question: "Huh?"
Then she rolled her eyes and suddenly grinned.
"Brother Mason is great, handsome, rich, treats you well, a one-in-a-million!"
"That’s not what I’m asking. I’m asking, what do you think of his temper?"
"Uh..." Joanna Ramsey’s smile stiffened; well, it seemed she couldn’t continue to praise him against her conscience.
"His temper is also... pretty good... right?"
Bella Green: "..."
