Jun Jiuli severed the rope and tore off the tape from her mouth. With some effort, she entered the space, unafraid of revealing anything. Wang Nuoyi would not survive the day.
This body had reached its limit; continuing like this would surely lead to disaster. Once Shui Wa entered the space, she could materialize. She quickly searched for healing medicine for Jun Jiuli.
Shui Wa said, "What kind of damn love is this? Even enemies aren't this bad."
Lying in this space, saturated with spiritual energy, Jun Jiuli finally felt her breathing ease slightly. "Cough, cough, do you think the original host might have suffocated?"
"Stop your nonsense and lie down quickly."
Although internal injuries could be treated with pills, to mend the broken leg, surgery would be necessary.
Four small puppet figures surrounded Jun Jiuli. They were more precise than any instrument. This leg was saved.
"Shui Wa, take that ugly puppet out. Play with it however you want. The only request is to not let Wang Nuoyi die too easily." Kuai Shu Ge
"Mmm-hmm, I understand."
Wang Nuoyi parked the car by a cliff. It was the off-season for tourism, and few people visited the South Sea.
Below the cliff was the sea, with the beach to its side. This place was least likely to attract attention.
He got out of the car in a rage. "Xia Xilin, don't blame me even when you're in the underworld. Blame yourself for being Lu Yu Nan's woman."
He abruptly opened the trunk and saw only two broken ropes inside. The person had vanished without a trace. He instantly panicked.
He was now desperate. The Wang family was bankrupt, and he had no backing. If Xia Xilin escaped and reported him, he would become a fugitive, and his situation would only worsen.
He carefully recalled that there had been no sound from the trunk. How could a living person disappear into thin air? Could it be Lu Yu Nan's people? Impossible.
He forced himself to remain calm and shouted, "Xia Xilin, come out! I know you're hiding nearby. It's useless to escape. You're just a pathetic wretch. Lu Yu Nan doesn't care about you at all; he won't help you seek justice."
"He'd rather you die to make room for his little lover. Don't go to him and be an annoyance. Come out, come out now!"
The small puppet suddenly appeared, its hollow eyes fixed directly on Wang Nuoyi. Wang Nuoyi was so scared he collapsed onto the ground.
"Ghost, ghost! Don't come near me, don't come near me! I'll build you a golden statue and burn money for you when I get back. Please, let me go."
Large beads of sweat dripped down, his body trembled uncontrollably, he gasped for air, and his heart pounded in his throat.
Finally gathering some courage, he looked up again. He saw nothing.
Had he imagined it? Wang Nuoyi breathed a sigh of relief.
He immediately got up, wanting to head to the driver's seat of the car. Suddenly, he felt breathless. He looked down to see his feet were no longer touching the ground.
He immediately shifted his weight to his feet, struggling to reach the ground.
A red mist of blood filled the surroundings. Adhering to the principle that as long as he didn't look back, nothing bad would happen, he desperately struggled forward.
Suddenly, a white figure flashed from the distance, appearing before him in two seconds. It opened a bloody mouth, staring at him with a cackling laugh.
"No, no! Who are you? You can't do this to me! Don't come here!"
Before he could utter another word, his head was swallowed by the bizarre figure.
This puppet was carved by Jun Jiuli in her spare time. Its appearance was extremely eerie, and its voice chilling. Even a madman would be terrified, let alone a normal person.
It was also very easy to control. Adding a few spirit stones allowed it to function for a considerable time, making it an excellent value for money. Shui Wa was initially afraid to touch it, but over time, she gained some courage.
When Wang Nuoyi regained consciousness, he could only smell the scent of blood. His face felt sticky, as if something was crawling on his skin and drilling into his flesh.
Suddenly, he felt something desperately trying to burrow into his mouth. He opened his eyes to see thick water snakes.
He was so terrified that he wet himself. The burning pain on his face prevented him from fainting.
No matter how he pulled or clenched his teeth, the water snakes seemed to penetrate them as if they were nothing, entering his mouth and then his stomach.
After a long wait, the water snakes finally stopped their feasting. Wang Nuoyi felt his stomach churn.
He knelt on the sand and used his hands to try and clear his throat, attempting to vomit. It was useless. Looking at the sea before him, he charged into it like a madman, gulping down seawater.
He continued until his entire body turned pale, his limbs swelled, and he lost the ability to move, only then did he stop.
The ugly puppet carried Wang Nuoyi back to the car, placed him in the driver's seat, got the car started, and fiddled with the accelerator before returning to the space.
Throughout this entire process, Wang Nuoyi was conscious. He couldn't move, and he couldn't even cry out for help.
A wet foot rested on the brake pedal. The brake had no response. He couldn't muster any strength to escape. What was happening? Was it all a dream?
The car shot out of the cliff like an arrow, exploding midway and sinking into the sea with the man and the vehicle.
"Host, it's done. When do we go to the male lead's place?"
"I've already reported my safety to the original host's sister. We don't need to worry about the male lead for now. Let him discover the truth and torment himself. Then we'll go back."
"That's right, tormenting both body and mind is more fun. Host, you should rest well."
