After most of the people around had received fifty game tokens, Qin Tian and Xia Nuannuan stayed to watch, while Tang Heng went to play games with Tang Wen and Liao Juan.
"Nuannuan."
"Hmm?"
"Do you think there's a chance?"
"What?"
Xia Nuannuan looked at him with surprise.
Qin Tian smiled and gestured with his chin towards Tang Heng and the other two.
"Oh, I don't know. It really depends on my second cousin. We can't help much."
Xia Nuannuan chuckled.
Qin Tian nodded slightly.
Just then, three little ones, two boys and a girl, all around ten years old, ran over.
"Hey, we heard you're giving out game tokens, we want some."
A boy with a buzz cut stretched out his hand and said impolitely.
"You want them, so I'll give them? No!"
Qin Tian refused with a stern face.
"You're not keeping your word. We saw you give them to others, why not to us?"
The buzz-cut boy questioned angrily.
"Give them to us!"
Another boy, with a runny nose almost reaching his mouth, chimed in loudly.
"Because you're rude. I want your parents to come over, and I'll talk to them!"
Qin Tian feigned a serious and angry expression.
The two boys stiffened at his words and shrank back fearfully.
"How can you be like this, calling parents like a teacher? Are you a teacher?"
The buzz-cut boy mustered his courage and asked loudly.
"No!"
Qin Tian, too lazy to bother with him, turned his gaze to the shy little girl behind them.
The girl was wearing a new bright red cotton jacket, her hair in pigtails, her small face clean and a bit thin.
"Sister, why is your boyfriend so mean? Change him quickly. I have a good brother who I can introduce to you."
The buzz-cut boy said to Xia Nuannuan.
Xia Nuannuan was suddenly a little stunned.
"Hey..."
Qin Tian almost laughed out loud, his face stern as he glared at the boy.
"What? You want to hit me? I'll report you for bullying a child."
The mischievous child puffed out his chest, trying to remain calm as he threatened.
"Don't worry, I'm afraid if I throw one punch, you'll cry for a long time."
Qin Tian rolled his eyes.
"Pfft!"
Xia Nuannuan next to him couldn't help but laugh.
The little girl also raised her hand to cover her mouth and giggle. Seeing Qin Tian look at her, she hurriedly turned her head away.
"Nonsense, I won't cry! My dad often beats me, and I haven't cried!"
The buzz-cut boy said angrily, his face flushed as he defended himself loudly.
"But I saw you crying at your house that day!"
The runny-nosed boy next to him unexpectedly exposed him.
"You... who are you with?"
The buzz-cut boy glared at him.
The boy shrunk his head back and said with a sheepish grin, "The teacher said we shouldn't lie."
"Hahaha..."
Qin Tian was amused by the two lively kids. He said to the buzz-cut boy, "Apologize to us, and then say it again, and I'll give you game tokens."
"Dream on, I didn't do anything wrong!"
The buzz-cut boy crossed his arms and stubbornly turned his head away.
"Alright, then I'll just give them to them."
Qin Tian shrugged indifferently, picked up a basket of game tokens from his feet, grabbed a handful, and handed it to the runny-nosed boy.
The boy's face lit up with surprise as he took them with both hands.
"Thank you, brother!"
After thanking him, he suddenly remembered something and glanced at his companion.
As expected, the other boy was glaring at him angrily.
The runny-nosed boy took a half-step back and hurriedly stuffed the game tokens into his shirt and pants pockets.
Qin Tian and Xia Nuannuan couldn't help but chuckle at this sight.
"Come here."
Xia Nuannuan beckoned to the little girl.
The little girl hesitated for a moment, then stepped forward, looking up at them expectantly.
"These are all for you!"
Qin Tian handed her the remaining half-basket of game tokens.
The little girl's eyes widened, showing an expression of disbelief.
"Take them."
Qin Tian smiled.
"Thank you, brother!"
The little girl's cheeks were flushed, and she thanked them politely.
"Don't let him play with them!"
Qin Tian pointed at the mischievous boy.
The little girl glanced at the buzz-cut boy, her expression somewhat conflicted.
They had grown up together, and if the buzz-cut boy really wanted game tokens, she would find it hard to refuse.
"Why are you like this? I'll apologize then, okay?"
The buzz-cut boy gritted his teeth in compromise, unwillingly.
Qin Tian watched him with a smile, his interest piqued.
After his expression changed a few times, the boy lowered his head and mumbled, "Sorry, I was wrong."
"Very good!"
Qin Tian didn't press the issue. He turned to the other two children and said, "You can give them game tokens now."
The little girl nodded like a pecking chick and thanked them again.
"Thank you, handsome brother, thank you, pretty sister."
"Go and play!"
Xia Nuannuan said with a smile.
The three children cheered and ran off to play games.
In Qin Tian and Xia Nuannuan's sight, the little girl directly handed the half-basket of game tokens in her hands to the buzz-cut boy.
The buzz-cut boy scratched his head sheepishly, but then accepted it with a smile, saying he would hold it for her.
"So cute."
Xia Nuannuan watched the three little ones walk away and exclaimed with a smile.
"The girl is quite cute, the snot-nose is reasonably polite, but the buzz-cut one is a real little terror."
Qin Tian gave his assessment.
Xia Nuannuan turned her head to look at him, her eyes smiling. "It's obvious you'll be like Old Xia and definitely a doting father to daughters."
Qin Tian shrugged noncommittally and raised his eyebrows playfully. "That's if we even have a daughter first."
"You... what are you talking about!"
Xia Nuannuan's cheeks instantly flushed, her face turning a deep red.
"Of course, boys are good too. At most, they'll need strict discipline. It's best to have two children."
Qin Tian chattered on with a teasing smile.
"Just stop talking!"
Xia Nuannuan stamped her foot in embarrassed annoyance.
"Okay, okay, I won't say anything more. It's still a long way off, we can talk about this later."
Qin Tian grinned.
Xia Nuannuan's face was flushed, and she glared at him fiercely.
Before long, some people started coming over with large amounts of prize tickets.
Xia Nuannuan stacked them neatly and put them aside, while Qin Tian redistributed game tokens, giving slightly more to those with more prize tickets.
Then, more and more people came. As time passed, the prize tickets at Xia Nuannuan's feet rapidly increased.
By five in the afternoon, the three to four thousand yuan that Xia Nuannuan had taken out had all been converted into game tokens and distributed. Beside her, a small mountain of prize tickets had accumulated.
Many people around who weren't playing didn't leave either. They stood in the distance, curiously watching, waiting to see how many prize tickets there were and what prizes they could be exchanged for.
"Little brother, that's about enough, right?"
Tang Heng stacked a pile of prize tickets on top and asked with a smile.
"Yes, we can see how much we have. If it's not enough, we'll get more."
Qin Tian nodded and called out to a nearby store employee.
The employee immediately walked over, and then they together put these prize tickets into a machine.
Watching the numbers increase rapidly, everyone felt a strange sense of accomplishment.
