Chapter 204 The Golden Carriage

Zhao Chunfeng was beaming with pride inside his special carriage. He relished the thought that Ye Ningze was now a dead man, and all that Ye Ningze possessed would soon be his. This vision filled him with immense joy.

The Golden Chariot was a rather unique vehicle, capable of shielding its occupants from all external interference and withstanding attacks from powerful individuals.

Most importantly, the Golden Chariot boasted a dazzling exterior, immediately signaling that its occupant was either exceptionally wealthy or of high status.

Only someone with Zhao Chunfeng's disposition would ride in such a carriage, as if he were afraid no one would know he was a scion of the Zhao family.

Fools were everywhere, and Zhao Chunfeng was no exception. He was, in essence, a spoiled rich kid, oblivious to the hardships of life and unaware that his minor habits could sometimes prove fatal.

Zhao Chunfeng's hands were not idle either. He held a beautiful woman in each arm, playfully teasing them while awaiting news from his subordinates.

Truth be told, Zhao Chunfeng had never felt so relaxed. He knew he only ever spent the family's money, never saving them a single cent. This opportunity, however, was the perfect chance to save the family money.

Even his father, he believed, would feel a degree of pride and admiration for his actions this time. Thus, Zhao Chunfeng considered himself to have done a good deed.

As Zhao Chunfeng reveled in his supposed triumph and self-congratulation, he remained blissfully unaware of the impending danger.

Suddenly, the Golden Chariot lurched violently. Zhao Chunfeng sensed an attack from outside.

The Golden Chariot could easily withstand the assault of a beginner transcendent martial artist. If its defenses were being shaken, it meant the attacker had surpassed that level.

Anyone exceeding that level in Sun Base was undoubtedly a significant figure, someone he should have known about. Furthermore, the attacker should have known him. This implied the attack was premeditated.

If his own person was the target, then the attacker had likely planned everything, even incurring the wrath of the Zhao family as part of their scheme.

A shiver of fear ran down Zhao Chunfeng's spine. If the attacker wasn't afraid of the Zhao family, then he was facing a terrifying predicament today, as the attacker had disregarded his greatest trump card.

A significant reason Zhao Chunfeng could act with impunity in Sun Base was his lineage as a member of the Zhao family. No one dared to cross him; they had to show deference to the Zhao family, lest the family's wrath be unleashed upon them all.

His personality was a stark contrast to Zhao Chunhua's. Zhao Chunhua was known for his patience and capability, knowing when to yield and when to strike decisively to eliminate his enemies.

Zhao Chunfeng, however, was merely a pampered heir, his knowledge limited to trivialities.

"Who are you? If you truly wish to antagonize the Zhao family, I urge you to consider the consequences of your actions."

"The Zhao family does not forgive its enemies lightly. Moreover, I am the heir of the Zhao family. If you dare to lay a hand on me, the Zhao family will spare no expense to eliminate you. Therefore, you would be wise to consider the repercussions before proceeding."

Zhao Chunfeng initially believed he could intimidate and even force the attacker to retreat, or at the very least, buy himself some time.

With enough time, he was confident that the Zhao family's experts would arrive to support him, allowing him to escape the jaws of death.

However, to his surprise, the voice from beyond the carriage, laced with impatience, reached Zhao Chunfeng's ears like the coldest ice in the world:

"Have you finished speaking? If so, you may die. But before you do, hand over the resources you possess to prevent yourself from enduring the most brutal torment in this world."

Ye Ningze could easily seize other resources, but the tens of billions in Zhao Chunfeng's possession were stored on a black card. Without the password, Ye Ningze would be unable to access them, even if he obtained the card.

Therefore, Ye Ningze needed to extract the black card's password from Zhao Chunfeng.

Zhao Chunfeng, however, let out a cold laugh and replied:

"You must be dreaming. You want my password, you want to be my enemy, and you want me to hand over the password willingly? Do you take me for a fool? If I give you the password, you'll kill me immediately, won't you? So, go ask my father for the password. Let's see if you have the guts."

Ye Ningze, however, simply smiled faintly and said:

"I initially thought you were foolish, but it seems you are even more foolish than I imagined. You see, sometimes, death can be a form of happiness. So, enjoy yourself. I shall grant you the most terrifying death."

With that, Ye Ningze flipped the Golden Chariot onto its side and proceeded to tear through its outer shell as if it were mere foam.

Finally, he entered the carriage, tossed out the two women beside Zhao Chunfeng, and subjected him to a series of torments.

In a short while, Zhao Chunfeng was covered in blood, his body riddled with wounds. At least six of his ribs were broken, and countless other injuries marred his flesh. Ye Ningze had even gouged out one of his eyeballs.

It could be said that the man endured inhuman treatment and torture. He stared at Ye Ningze in disbelief, wanting to cry out, but he lacked even the right to wail. He felt as if his very soul had been ripped from him.

He could only lie on the ground, motionless, filled with despair and weakness. Ye Ningze, standing over him, gazed down coldly. Then, Ye Ningze spoke to Zhao Chunfeng:

"You now have two choices: either tell me what you possess, and I will grant you a merciful death, allowing you to leave this world without pain."

"Or, I will torture you until you die. I wonder how many rounds of torment you can endure."

As these words reached Zhao Chunfeng's ears, he felt as if he had plunged into an ice cave. He believed the devil himself stood before him.

Zhao Chunfeng's liver and gall felt as if they would burst!
