Chapter 245: Second Day - Arrival of all forces.
Second day.
A lot of things happened on the opening day. Many weaker sects made names for themselves and the most outstanding of them all was the Dust Valley Sect.
The sun rose in the east casting a golden hue over the Imperial Capital.
On the street, thousands of people were walking toward the summit ground.
Today, the real summit will begin.
Compared to yesterday when many were surprised by the pure spiritual energy of the summit ground, the people had gotten used to it.
Walking on the wide road of the summit, Mo Jian and the Dust Valley Sect elders and disciples approached the center.
The previous martial arena was long gone. Yet, people gathered at the center and the number was increasing with each passing second.
Various Halls arrived one after the other. The Array Formation Hall, the Alchemist Hall, Talisman Hall, Runes Hall, Artifact Refinement Hall, and the Mercenary Hall.
Watching the various hall masters, elders, and disciples of the various halls, many forcefully swallowed the lumps in their throats.
Now, many knew why they said the water of the Imperial Capital was deep.
Their momentum was not any less than the ancient sects.
Suddenly, a voice whispered.
"Look, that is the Ancient Vermilion Fist Sect."
Instantly, the crowd turned their heads and saw elders and disciples dressed in purplish-red robes.
Their faces were etched with pride and arrogance. Sensing the disciples’ cultivation, many gasped in disbelief.
The lowest among them was a Foundation Realm stage-3 while the highest was in the Core Refining Realm.
Peng Zhao and the Dust Valley Sect disciples couldn’t help but widen their eyes in amazement.
They’d heard how monstrous this ancient sect was and rumors might be exaggerated but now...
They knew better.
While they were exclaiming at the strength of the Vermilion Fist Sect, another ancient sect arrived.
"Huh! That is the Ancient Silent Pill Sect." A voice whispered.
The Silent Pill Sect only focused on pill refinement. They had the best alchemists and the highest pill Tier.
"Ah! The Ancient Zhou clan has arrived."
The crowd quickly turned their heads in the direction of the Zhou clan.
Like any other ancient force, their faces were etched with arrogance and pride.
After them, the ancient Liu clan arrived. Their entrance was not any less grand than the ancient Zhou clan’s.
The Ancient Sun clan and Qiu clan arrived almost at the same time.
Elders from both clans stared at each other for a moment and snorted before walking to their different positions.
With the arrival of the ancient forces, the atmosphere inside the summit was charged with tension and anticipation.
The Silver Wei Sect arrived followed by the Essence Veil Sect.
Compared to the crowd’s reaction to the Silver Wei Sect, the crowd had various expressions when they saw the beautiful girls and women from the Essence Veil Sect.
Although they all wore veils, their porcelain bodies, long legs, and thin waists still made many men breathless.
Following their footsteps, the Ancient Wu clan and Huang clan arrived at the same time.
The atmosphere between the ancient clans was not as charged as the ancient Sun clan and the Qiu clan.
With almost all the ancient sects and clans’ arrival, everyone was looking forward to the two hegemons of the continent.
The Lotus Sword Sect and the Yun clan.
The Yun clan firmly controlled the Imperial Capital while the Lotus Sword Sect controlled the sects.
Their strength was unrivaled.
Suddenly, the two hegemons arrived at the same time. Also, their sect elders and disciples were talking with each other and smiling.
Watching them, everyone held their breath. Even the ancient sects and clans couldn’t help but look at them with envy.
After a few minutes, a booming voice echoed in the sky.
"Welcome everyone to this year’s Assembly Summit. We hope to see many promising talents."
"This is the highest stage on our continent. Don’t hold back, show us what you’ve got."
"Let the summit begin." The voice declared like rumbling thunder and vanished.
Immediately, the crowd began to move while many were confused.
Just then tens of Golden Core Experts flew over.
"Don’t lose your way if you’re new. Follow the instructors."
Quickly, the Golden Core Instructors began to lead the people to various sections of the summit ground.
The summit ground was massive. Without proper direction, people might get lost.
While the crowd were moving to the sections they had registered, the sect masters stood back.
There were tens of sect masters, many were known faces while some were new faces.
The Dust Valley Sect Master understood the purpose of the gathering and quickly walked in the direction of the Southern Region Sect Master.
"You must be the Sect Master of the Frost Moon Sect." The Dust Valley Sect Master said with an amicable smile.
The Frost Moon Sect Master looked at him for a moment before it dawned on her.
"You must be the Sect Master of the now famous Dust Valley Sect." She said in a cold voice.
"That’s me." He nodded with pride. "Why don’t we support each other during this summit?"
The Frost Moon Sect Master squinted and did not respond immediately.
"Sect Master, you must have heard of the Thousand Wealth Chamber..." He whispered.
When the Frost Moon Sect Master heard the Thousand Wealth Chamber, a slight shock appeared on her cold face.
"You mean..." Her voice trailed off.
"Yes..."
The Thousand Wealth Chamber had dominated the Southern Region. Their product and creations were things that had never appeared on the continent.
Many had speculated about their background but there was no concrete evidence.
And now...
"Why don’t I introduce you to my region’s Sect Master." She took the initiative and led the way.
Quickly, the four sect masters were talking with bright smiles on their faces.
Watching the four sect masters talking with bright smiles, sect masters from other regions couldn’t help but be curious.
"Is that the now famous Dust Valley Sect Master?" An old sect master asked.
"Yes. Famous? Don’t make me laugh. Their disciples were slightly stronger. You just wait, their sect will be trash that they won’t even know the name of their sect." Another sect master sneered.
The Hidden Pine Sect Master glared at the Dust Valley Sect Master and a sharp glint flashed through her eyes.
Deaths were common during the summit. Having half of the Dust Valley Sect disciples die during battle wouldn’t raise any air.
With the scheme taking root in her mind, she moved.
