False Court
Chapter 573 Can't Take It
Inside a spacious, giant circular laboratory, rows of ultra-precise experimental instruments were placed. In the innermost area, a giant, transparent, isolated biological zone was constructed.
Within the isolation zone, rows of biochemical tanks were situated, each imprisoning different types of Zerg creatures.
These Zerg creatures occasionally wriggled, indicating they were all alive. However, their eyes were tightly closed, likely due to the addition of a large amount of anesthetic to the life-sustaining fluid.
In the central area, there was also a square, recessed special biochemical incubation pool, with various types of Zerg eggs placed inside. Among them was a red Zerg egg, very large in size, with dark red spots on its surface.
On the observation platform, several researchers wearing white coats with pointed ears were watching the condition of the experimental subjects.
One of the researchers asked a white-haired elder leading them with some concern, "Lord Gosa, is it really okay for us to do this? Will it get out of control?"
"Out of control? Should we be afraid of losing control? Hundreds of years ago, our ancestors conducted forbidden gene experiments for survival. The materials were limited at that time, and the mortality rate was so high, yet we survived. Now we have entered a new era. Our ancestors left us the greatest reliance, our talent. If we don't use it now, when will we?"
Gosa said, a hint of fanaticism flashing in his eyes.
In fact, the Yannas race didn't have so many diverse individuals to begin with. Some had lion heads, leopard heads, or cat heads, while others had become other types of mutants. All of them were products of gene experiments conducted in the beginning to adapt to the harsh living environment.
For this, they paid an extremely heavy price in blood. It should be known that many of the initial experimental subjects were failures. More than half of the experimental subjects lacked rationality and only possessed the instincts of beasts.
Moreover, the final experiment went out of control. Although they successfully suppressed it in the end, they still had to face the remaining semi-finished products, that is, those rational mutants.
At first, they couldn't accept people with such large differences in appearance, and this led to a war of opposition.
Finally, they reunited again.
After listening, the researchers present said with lingering fear.
"It's because we have the lessons of the past that we're afraid."
"Don't be afraid. This time is different from the past. The genes of our Yannas race's higher purebreds naturally possess a kind of innate suppression ability against Zerg genes. We can completely strip and acquire new power from the Zerg's bodies for our own use, extremely safely! This will be the trump card of our Yannas race in the future. Nothing in this world is reliable, especially in the Star Sea era. All promises are false. Today's friend may become tomorrow's enemy. The only thing we can believe in is our own power."
Gosa replied fanatically.
"Understood."
.....
On the other side of the street, Su Mo and Wen Luosi kept quickening their pace forward, with no intention of window-shopping. They just wanted to get rid of the crowd of onlookers as soon as possible, feeling a bit like they were fleeing.
All around them, self-proclaimed handsome young men and beautiful women kept emerging from the crowd, enthusiastically striking up conversations.
"Hello, can we get to know each other?"
"Distinguished Miss, may I invite you to hang out?"
"Sir, can we be friends?"
"Don't go."
.....
At first, Su Mo and Wen Luosi would politely decline, but as more and more people emerged, and the words of invitation became more and more explicit.
Su Mo and Wen Luosi were both a little overwhelmed, and could only slip away quickly.
As a result, things got worse. The faster they tried to slip away, the more the surrounding residents seemed unwilling to give up.
Instead, they kept chasing after them, and for a while, the two were chased around in a bit of a mess.
Just when Su Mo and Wen Luosi were at a loss, they ran into Mina, who was carrying a basket.
"Wen Luosi, what a coincidence."
Mina shouted with great joy.
"Mina."
Wen Luosi looked at Mina in front of her with surprise.
"Now is not the time to reminisce. Sorry, we have to go. There are a lot of people hitting on us behind us."
Su Mo said with a big headache.
Mina glanced behind her and immediately said with a smile, "I see, come with me."
Su Mo and Wen Luosi were slightly taken aback, but turned their heads to look at the residents chasing after them, and agreed without saying a word.
"Okay!"
"This way!"
Mina immediately led Su Mo and the two of them to run towards the nearby alley.
After a while, Su Mo and Wen Luosi finally got rid of those enthusiastic people.
Su Mo breathed a sigh of relief and said to Mina gratefully, "Thank you so much, your people here are really enthusiastic."
"You're welcome, actually, we've always been very hospitable here, especially since Sister Wen Luosi is so beautiful, and you... um, I still don't know your name yet?"
Mina suddenly paused halfway through her sentence.
"My name is Su Mo."
Su Mo introduced himself.
"Well, Brother Su Mo, Sister Wen Luosi, where are you two going?"
Mina asked curiously.
"We just came out for a stroll, we weren't really going anywhere. But we didn't get to stroll, we almost got blocked. Looking at the situation, I guess we can't go back for a while, we have to wait until later when there are fewer people on the road."
Su Mo said with a headache.
"How about this, if you don't mind, you can come to my house as guests."
Mina made the invitation innocently and cheerfully.
"Is that appropriate? Will we be bothering you?"
Su Mo asked a little uncertainly.
"Mr. Su Mo, you're being too polite. You saved me, and I haven't thanked you yet. It won't be a bother at all."
Mina nodded very surely.
Su Mo and Mina looked at each other, suddenly remembering what Lord Sberd had said, and then responded.
"Okay, then we'll bother you."
"That's great, please come with me."
Mina led the two towards the front.
After a long time, the three of them arrived at the gate of a courtyard enclosed by wooden fences.
This courtyard was located in a relatively remote location, but it was very large.
Mina pushed open the door, and a huge courtyard came into view. However, there was no vegetation planted on either side of the courtyard, but rather a large amount of garbage piled up.
Seeing this scene, Su Mo finally understood why Mina's house was so big; it turned out this was a garbage recycling station.
"I'm back."
Mina shouted very happily.
In the next second, more than a dozen children of different ages rushed out.
"Sister!"
Su Mo and Wen Luosi were both stunned!
The children came up and surrounded Mina, wanting to hug her.
Su Mo took a closer look, and the youngest of them was probably less than two years old and was still wearing diapers.
"Sister, did you bring me food?"
