Chapter 568
Anton amusingly told Anders and Anna about him pretending to be a newbie healer and joining newbie groups in the beginner dungeon. He told Anders and Anna about how amazed the newbie adventurers were about receiving powerful buff spells that allowed them to delve deeper into dungeon floors that they normally would avoid, because it would be fatal for them.
“That is so amusing!” Anna laughed, and Anders joined her.
Anton thought that it was truly the first time that the three members of their little family talked to each other about different things. From their grief, to their current status, to their future expectations. There were even a few minutes of bouts of crying, but Anton felt that it was a healing kind of crying.
The funny thing about their journey was, Anton expected that they would take a break in the middle of it, but the Supreme Wizards commanded no rest until they arrived at the dungeon’s entrance.
It was around one in the afternoon when they finally arrived at the mini town where the entrance to the Corridors of Amuneta dungeon was located. They left their carriages together with the drivers in the designated parking spots and went to one of the restaurants that were built in the town.
The good thing about the mini town was that all the establishments there catered to high-level adventurers, and that meant that all of them were high-class as well. The downside was, they were all frighteningly expensive. Their lunch was covered by the academy as suggested by Supreme Munetta, and they all enjoyed the food that was served to them.
The moment Anton tasted the delicious food, he ordered a lot from the restaurant kitchens, and he spent a good amount of coins for that. He intended to store the food in his inventory.
Thankfully, the girls and the wizards took a long time to eat, so by the time they were all done eating, the kitchens were done with the food that he ordered. After that, the Supreme Munetta and her three colleagues headed to the Adventurer Guild branch together with their students to submit their documents and get the key that they would use to enter the dungeon. They brought Anna and her classmates with them so the girls would learn how the Adventurer Guild would function in such a place.
Anton, his father, Daniel, and Ingrid headed to the dungeon’s entrance to queue so that when the Supreme Wizards arrived, they would be near the entrance already.
While they were waiting in the queue, Anders and his two vice-captains were amazed at how friendly the high-level adventurers were, especially when Anders shared the information that his “son” managed to delve into the 60th floor of the dungeon.
Anders had to admit to the other adventurers when they were asked what one could find in the deeper floors of the dungeon, that they had just arrived in Ormunda and were technically just Copper rank adventurers, and joined a field trip to the 1st floor of the dungeon of the students of one of the magic academies together with his daughters.
“Your children are powerful!” One of the high-level adventurers praised.
The praise brought out some sort of hidden beast from within Anders. Anton was flabbergasted when his father started boasting. Anders told the surrounding adventurers that his firstborn son was an archmage capable of divining into the 60th floor of the Corridors of Amuneta dungeon, and his daughter was just 13 years old but had already amazed her teachers in the magic academy. Anders continued his boasting about Anton’s capabilities as a magic item creator.
Anton almost laughed out loud when Anders only stopped when he saw his vice-captains staring at him. Soon, Anna, her teachers, and her classmates arrived, and by around three in the afternoon, they finally reached the entrance to the dungeon.
When they entered the portal, they stumbled into one of the most typical settings that an adventurer could find inside dungeons. A cave setting. The surroundings were not too dark since there were glowing stalactites that were on the ceilings of the cave.
The group didn’t immediately set out. Anna’s teachers gave them an hour-long lecture about the dungeon, which was basically just a reminder of what they had taught about dungeons when they were in the manor.
Anton took the time to attach the experience that came from slaying the dungeon monsters to his newly created ladder Sorceress. He knew that the experience would be miniscule, but an ant was still meat.
After that, Anton summoned all of his summons and started setting up his tent on top of his Dire Bear. Everyone was surprised at the appearance of all of Anton’s summons except his father and Anna.
There were five large Ravens, five Spirit Wolves, five Dire Wolves, one Oak Sage Spirit, one Clay Golem, one Shadow Master, and the one that looked like Anton himself, which was the Valkyrie. After the wizards’ lecture, he introduced his summons to everyone, including his summons’s abilities.
The Supreme Wizards and Anders requested that a couple of the dungeon monsters be saved for the wizards’ students and Anders and his two vice-captains, so that was what he commanded his summons to do.
“Why did you set up a tent on top of the Dire Bear?” Anders asked his son.
“Sorry about that. It was a habit that I formed during my delves into the 30th floor to accumulate gold coins. I normally just stay in there to do whatever I want, and my summons would just kill all the monsters while the Dire Bear followed them.”
Since Anton wasn’t speaking softly, everyone heard what he said and stared at him after he said that outrageous sentence.
“You mean you just do nothing and you’re earning a humongous amount of gold coins!” Anna shouted, and Anton just nodded absently.
Anna’s teachers just shook their heads, Anders’s vice-captains looked at their captain’s son in awe, and Anna’s classmates looked at Anton like fans looking at their K-pop idols.
