Chapter 3446: Dark Intruder
On the North-Western coast of Sirinwel, the waves of the Sourenphine Ocean crashed violently into the beaches of the expansive Bournvyrne Empire. Powerful winds blew from the oceans to land, threatening to topple trees while the skies were covered in a sheet of dark clouds. The rocks that comprised the land were black and ashy, as if they had been scorched by a great heat.
Further inland was a vast, expansive range of mountains, each laden with lava veins emerging from within the depths of the active volcanoes, releasing massive plumes of smoke that reached the skies, making the air harder to breathe and covering the entire continent from the influence of the Sun.
It was a land that was very different from the other continents in the world, devoid of much biodiversity.
It was the home of the dwarves.
RUMBLE...
Tremors passed through the oceans, washing over the lands.
From within the depths of the pitch-black oceans emerged a dark mechanical humanoid construct.
Its frame was comprised of a pitch-black esoteric substance that reflected light like a mirror. The powerful humanoid construct brimmed with unfathomable energy, and yet it was profoundly stealthy, entirely unnoticed by the forces of the Bournvyrne Empire until it emerged from within the depths of the ocean.
The moment it emerged from within the depths of the ocean, however, its existence was loudly detected by the border patrol corps of the Bournvyrne Empire.
"Intruder in the marine sector G14 of the South-Western coast."
"Energy signature of intruder estimated to be level-5."
"Deploying level-5 border patrol squad to intercept."
VMMM
The land split open as an underground base opened up from within the black rocks on the coast, unveiling a large squadron of mechs flying over to the MECHA that had emerged from within the ocean.
Their bodies were evenly configured between different parameters, meant to serve as all-rounder mech units capable of many things at once, including chasing, protecting, and incapacitating. Their armor plating was a radiant white with black stripes that ran from head to toe, with the crest of the Bournvyrne Empire proudly engraved on their chests.
Their propulsion systems were silent, expanding space behind them and contracting space in the direction that they sought to move in, creating a gravitation gradient that moved them in the direction that they sought.
They arrived before the MECHA that emerged from the water that remained still midair, surrounding the unfamiliar humanoid machine before issuing warnings and instructions.
"Halt and identify yourself. You are illegally entering the territory of the Bournvyrne Empire," the captain of the squad said with a stern tone. "Surrender yourself to our Empire and you will be processed in accordance with the law of the Bournvyrne Empire. Should you resist, we are authorized to eliminate you with the might of our great Empire."
VMMM...
The MECHA didn’t move.
Instead, the voice of a man emerged from it.
"A keity lsik am wvihel."
It was a language that the officers of the squad didn’t recognize, but their systems were already processing what it meant.
"A finyh ittor finrbahelen ulmn, am riinalam, a eisadae ti traam."
Captain frowned as the artificial intelligence systems of his mech were unable to identify the language of the intruder. That meant that there was only one possibility for the identity of the intruder.
"Martial Artist..." the man grunted with a hint of disdain. "I’ll need to send this back to HQ for it to be processed."
Ten months had passed since the Unfolding, and the dwarves had managed to pick up on the language of the Panama Continent rather quickly, with the data that they had gotten through their surveillance and espionage inputted into powerful large language models that decoded the Panamic dialect rather quickly.
Within a second, they got a translation of the man’s words.
"I come in peace."
"I seek the services of the dwarves, and I offer my services in return."
The dwarf sharpened his eyes. "Then step out of the mech."
A response from the black MECHA came quickly.
"I’m afraid I can’t do that."
The dwarves piloting their mechs were not pleased to hear that.
"I will say this one last time," the captain growled. "Get out of the machine. Any possibility of anything will only happen after you surrender yourself."
"I will not." The male voice from within the black MECHA was stoic, yet unyielding.
The captain’s eyebrow twitched. "Commence capture operation."
VMMM...!
The air boiled with energy as the powerful mechs that the dwarves piloted charged with energy as their powerful energy cores drew an immense amount of power from the expansion of the universe and from the vacuum itself.
The two most advanced forms of energy systems in the entire world.
One absorbed dark energy from the very fabric of the universe that expanded each second. Dark energy was a form of anti-gravity that repelled instead of attracting, except it was so powerful that it drove the universe to expand and was speculated to eventually destroy the universe and everything in it, making it the most powerful force in existence.
Employing extremely high principles to harness this force allowed a mech to absorb this force, allowing a virtually infinite supply of extremely high energy.
Zero-point energy systems were also a similarly extraordinary field of technology with unfathomable amounts of power, yielding virtually limitless amounts of energy over a long period of time.
The dwarves were the only civilization in Gaia that had gained some proficiency with these forms of energy systems. While other species and civilizations, including the tekvores, tinkered with more primitive fields of energy like antimatter and blackhole cores, the dwarves were a step ahead in the energy battle, compensating for their absence of innate combat prowess.
It gave them the supreme confidence that they could overwhelm anybody in a battle of pure energy.
"Attack!" the captain commanded as the mechs charged towards the pitch-black MECHA.
And yet, they never stood a chance.
BOOOM!!!
A powerful wave of force emerged from the black MECHA, overwhelming the mechs in just a moment.
