1008: Chapter 1008: Reversal of Fate Formation, Rejuvenation?
Carson Flores watched as the ghostly soldiers charged towards them, his heart racing with tension.
Their strength is so formidable!
No wonder even the Crimson Dragon King and others didn’t dare to confront them head-on, opting instead to stealthily dodge their way forward.
Carson Flores took advantage of their pursuit of the Pathfinder Cultivators to closely follow behind the Crimson Dragon King and others, moving swiftly and agilely across the ground like a spiritual monkey.
He did not use his Spiritual Energy, relying solely on his robust physique to move, thus the ghostly soldiers could not detect him.
By the time this group of ghostly soldiers had killed all the Cultivators and returned, Carson Flores had already passed their stationed spot and continued forward stealthily.
The Crimson Dragon King and others dashed ahead when suddenly, a vast Underground Tomb Chamber appeared before everyone.
A massive and majestic Altar towered like a pyramid, and at the highest end of the Altar, there lay a huge Black Stone Coffin.
Lilianna Norman asked softly, “Is the Demon Ancestor inside the Black Stone Coffin?”
The Crimson Dragon King nodded, “Yes, now what we need to do is try to awaken him.”
Lilianna Norman asked softly, “After such a long time, is he really still alive?”
The Crimson Dragon King looked at the Black Stone Coffin, his eyes fervent, “It is said that the Demon Ancestor, sensing his impending demise, used up endless resources to set up a Reversal of Fate Formation, sealing himself within it.”
“The unique aspect of the Reversal of Fate Formation is that it absorbs endless Spiritual Energy and performs a peculiar transformation on the person within the formation, similar to rejuvenation.
The longer the seal lasts, the better the effect.”
Lilianna Norman looked around and asked in confusion, “I don’t see any Formation here?”
The Crimson Dragon King chuckled, “The Reversal of Fate Formation is within that Black Stone Coffin, now we just need to open the coffin, and then use your fresh blood to awaken the Demon Ancestor, and our great task will be accomplished!”
Lilianna Norman nodded, “Okay, how much blood is needed?”
The Crimson Dragon King answered, “According to the records, only the fresh blood of a young female Demon Race with an Innate Taoist Body and completed transformation has the power to awaken the Demon Ancestor.
Unfortunately, although my Demon Race has occasionally had individuals with Innate Taoist Bodies, they were all male, so we have been waiting until today.”
“I’m not sure exactly how much blood is needed, but as long as it can awaken the Demon Ancestor, any amount of blood spilled is worthwhile.
Afterwards, the Demon Ancestor will naturally compensate you and won’t let you suffer a loss.”
In the cave, Carson Flores listened to the conversation ahead, his heart filled with shock.
The Demon Ancestor is still alive?
Rejuvenation?
Lilianna Norman’s fresh blood can awaken him?
This is too exaggerated.
Although Carson Flores wasn’t quite clear about the origin of this Demon Ancestor, just hearing the name and the Crimson Dragon King’s description was enough to know that this guy must be incredibly terrifying.
If the Demon Ancestor is revived, won’t the Human Race be in even greater danger?
“Let’s go up!”
The Crimson Dragon King and others leapt forward, climbing up the pyramid-shaped Altar, standing in front of the Black Stone Coffin.
The Crimson Dragon King reached out, grabbed the lid of the Black Stone Coffin, and forcefully shifted it aside.
Nothing unusual occurred.
Lilianna Norman’s gaze fell on the interior of the Black Stone Coffin, the first thing she saw were countless gleaming Formation Patterns, a myriad of mysterious lights swirling within the coffin, illuminating the person lying peacefully inside.
Lilianna Norman’s gaze then fell on the face of the person, her expression suddenly becoming somewhat confused.
“Is this the Demon Ancestor?
Wasn’t the Formation supposed to rejuvenate?”
In the Black Stone Coffin, an old woman lay quietly, her face as dry and wrinkled as the bark of an ancient tree, extremely withered and aged.
The Crimson Dragon King paused momentarily, “The records say the Reversal of Fate Formation could rejuvenate… What’s going on here?”
Lilianna Norman furrowed her brows, “Are you sure she is the Demon Ancestor?”
The Crimson Dragon King shook his head, “I’ve never seen her before, but everything matches what’s written in the records, so it should be her.”
Lilianna Norman turned to look at the Crimson Dragon King, “Do I still need to bleed?”
“Bleed!
Why wouldn’t you bleed!”
The Crimson Dragon King replied crisply, and after observing the Black Stone Coffin for a while, he pointed to a small funnel-like spot on the side of the coffin.
“Pour your blood into it, and it will awaken the Demon Ancestor…”
There was a slight hesitation in Lilianna Norman’s eyes, but she ultimately nodded, “Okay!”
The Crimson Dragon King stepped back a bit, making a welcoming gesture.
“Once the Demon Ancestor is awakened, you will be a great hero to our Demon Race.
If the Demon Ancestor appreciates your ability and personally instructs you, your prospects will be limitless!”
Lilianna Norman nodded, raised her left hand, and with her right hand’s fingers, she sliced across her left wrist.
Blood immediately gushed out.
Lilianna Norman placed her wrist above the funnel, her blood flowing into it like rain off a roof’s edge, continuously entering the funnel.
The Formation within the Black Stone Coffin suddenly changed, white light intermingling with Blood Light, then all these Blood Lights completely entered the forehead of the lying old woman.
As the blood flowed, the light inside the Black Stone Coffin became brighter and the Blood Light more intense.
As more and more Blood Mist entered the old woman’s forehead, her pale face, almost like that of a dead person, slowly began to gain some color, and her withered body, thin as only a layer of skin, gradually began to fill out…
