Chapter 606: Daddy’s Birthday Today

Chapter 606: Chapter 606: Daddy’s Birthday Today

She didn’t wait in Fu Rongyin’s office, she went straight home.

With two hours left before boarding, Fu Rongyin appeared, taking her and their daughter straight to the airport.

It was only at the airport that Chi Yue found that Fu Rongyin had actually boarded the plane with them, and his seat was even next to theirs!

Compared to Fu Mianmian’s excitement, Chi Yue was too calm, so calm that she completely ignored Fu Rongyin.

She put on her eye mask and headphones to rest and let Fu Mianmian play with him.

She didn’t know how much time had passed when Chi Yue took off her eye mask and saw a small cake in front of Fu Rongyin, which startled her.

This was the cake she made for Fu Rongyin early in the morning, when had he brought it with him?

Fu Mianmian eagerly noticed that Chi Yue was awake and called out, "Mommy Mommy, come and eat the cake."

As she spoke, Fu Rongyin handed her a piece of cake with the words "Birthday" written lopsidedly on it.

Chi Yue hesitated whether to take it or not.

Seeing Chi Yue wasn’t taking it, Fu Mianmian became anxious, "Mommy, take it quickly. Today is daddy’s birthday, let’s celebrate it on the plane, okay?"

Chi Yue: "...Okay."

Biting the bullet, she took it since, after all, she was the one who had made it.

After eating the cake and nearly landing, Chi Yue didn’t sleep anymore and listlessly looked out the window.

Someone took her hand. She instinctively shook it off but then heard the person beside her whisper, "Don’t move, Mianmian is asleep."

Chi Yue turned to see Fu Rongyin using one hand to support Fu Mianmian’s head, tucking her into the crook of his arm.

His hand was so long that it reached out and rested directly on her seat, it was clear that he was intentionally holding her hand.

Chi Yue considered shaking his hand off for a moment, but, glancing at the sweetly sleeping Fu Mianmian, she ultimately held back.

Thus, Fu Rongyin held her hand the whole way, even going so far as to ask her to massage his hand, claiming that his arm was numb.

Chi Yue, feeling numb, mechanically massaged him through the sleeve for a moment and then took the opportunity to pinch him.

After letting out her frustration, she felt better and simply stopped looking at him.

She could sense that Fu Rongyin was staring at her the entire time, but she didn’t turn around until the plane landed.

Off the plane, Chi Yue carried Fu Mianmian and walked away, leaving the luggage to Chi Jianshan.

At the exit, Nan Bingyu was already waiting there.

"Oh, I’ve missed you to death, Mianmian. Did you miss your auntie?"

Fu Mianmian had just woken up and was still groggy. She looked around and didn’t see the person she wanted to see; her lips puckered, and she looked like she was about to cry.

Nan Bingyu was amused. "Do you miss me that much?"

"Wuwuwu... Where is daddy? I want daddy, wuwuwu..."

Nan Bingyu’s expression stiffened as she looked at Chi Yue, who said, "He took care of Mianmian on the plane."

Nan Bingyu was shocked again. "He came back with you?"

Chi Yue nodded and was about to say something else when Nan Bingyu stared straight past her. "Isn’t that Master Wu? Long time no see."

Fu Rongyin had somehow appeared behind Chi Yue. He nodded slightly in greeting and then took Fu Mianmian from Chi Yue’s arms.

"Let’s go, the car is here."

Chi Yue didn’t move. "I’m going with Xiao Yu."

As she spoke, she walked away, pulling Nan Bingyu with her.

Once in the car, Nan Bingyu couldn’t help asking, "Why are you avoiding him like a plague?"

Chi Yue sighed, "Mianmian knows it’s his birthday today and insisted on dragging him home to celebrate. What could I do?"
