Chi Yue took a deep breath, trying to have a calm conversation with him, “Haven’t you already gone back to Hai City? Why did you come back?”
“The work there is done, where else would I go if not back here?”
“Fine, you’re back, but why did you send Mianmian’s grandfather away?”
Fu Rongyin spoke earnestly, “He’s been working hard taking care of the kids, and now that I’m here for a while, it’s the perfect time for him to relax.”

Fu Rongyin replied, “I also won’t agree to divorce you, and the evidence for your divorce lawsuit is inadmissible.”
Chi Yue ground her teeth, “Our relationship is broken beyond repair; there’s no possibility of reconciliation.”
The man’s gaze grew dark, and he stepped around the long table to stand in front of her, suddenly leaning in close, “Broken relationship? But we were in such harmony last night.”
Remembering the heart-racing scenes from the night before, Chi Yue couldn’t help but blush, yet she refused to back down, “That was you forcing me!”
The man raised an eyebrow slightly, “As I recall, later on, it was you who held me tight…”
Chi Yue’s face turned beet red, and she left the study as if fleeing.
Back in the master bedroom, she locked the door and checked it several times before she felt relieved to leave it.
After washing her face and calming the heat on her cheeks, it suddenly occurred to her that when she left last night, Nan Bingyu was in the midst of Xi Yihang’s confession; she wondered whether Nan Bingyu had ultimately rejected him.
The phone rang a few times before being answered, Nan Bingyu’s cheerful voice came through from the other end, “You finally remembered me.”

“Know what?”
