Chapter 612: Chapter 612: Blocking Peach Blossoms
It was Chi Yue who spoke up, “Give him the stuff.”
Then she said to Fu Xingchuan, “You can leave now.”
Luckily, Fu Xingchuan didn’t continue to pester her, but as he was leaving, he couldn’t help but say that he would come back.
Chi Yue didn’t expect that Fu Xingchuan would be so clingy. It seemed that she couldn’t keep entangling with him.
Dai Qiu closed the door, walked up to her, and hesitated to speak.
Chi Yue: “If you have something to say, just say it.”
“Mr. Chi, I know these young guys are really good at sweet-talking, but you have to keep your eyes peeled. Don’t be fooled by him. Just yesterday I saw him taking a young model in and out of a hotel.”
Chi Yue looked at her with some surprise.
Dai Qiu continued, “This kind of young guy is good in every aspect, but just too sticky. You and the Master are quite a match. I think it would be better for you two not to split up.”
Chi Yue: “… Why would you think that?”
Dai Qiu thought she was asking about Fifth Young Master Fu and said, “You two were really compatible when you were together before. I’ve never seen such a harmonious couple, and moreover…”
She suddenly stopped speaking, her gaze landing on the bruise on Chi Yue’s neck. Remembering what Fu Xingchuan said about them holding hands, she was so shocked that she couldn’t speak.
Chi Yue, noticing her reaction, quickly asked, “What’s wrong?”
“You… you and… You and Fu Xingchuan… Sigh, it’s still a step too late.”
After saying that, she shook her head and left.
Chi Yue didn’t understand why Dai Qiu had such an expression, and she didn’t take it to heart.
Later, when she went to the bathroom, she only then saw the purple bruise on her neck. Thinking back to the incident with Fu Rongyin last night, and considering Dai Qiu’s reaction, she couldn’t help but feel amused and exasperated.
Forget it, let the misunderstanding be. It wasn’t worth explaining anyway.
But what she didn’t know was that Dai Qiu had told Fu Rongyin about the incident, as well as about Fu Xingchuan coming to look for Chi Yue at the organization.
That evening after work, Fu Rongyin appeared under her apartment building.
The tall man leaned against the car door, looking lazy and willful, with broad shoulders, a narrow waist, and straight legs, which attracted many young girls to come up and ask for photos and autographs.
When Chi Yue saw him, he was still looking impatient. As soon as she appeared, he took over a girl’s pen and scrawled a few bold characters on it.
The girl covered her mouth, in disbelief.
Seeing this, other girls eagerly handed over their notebooks, but Fu Rongyin didn’t take them anymore, instead pointed at Chi Yue and said something.
When Chi Yue walked up to him, she heard one of the girls confidently say, “It’s okay, brother, I can wait. You can find me after you get divorced.”
Then, she gave Chi Yue a challenging look.
Chi Yue paused in her steps and leisurely watched them.
It was finally Fu Rongyin who reached out to her, causing the gathering of girls to leave reluctantly.
Chi Yue was ushered into the passenger seat by him, and he thoughtfully fastened her seatbelt. Chi Yue could see the group of girls not far away; they seemed to be still watching them, probably saying something about them.
Chi Yue chuckled lightly, “Are you using me to fend off your admirers?”
Fu Rongyin neither admitted nor denied it, “I’m taking you out for something delicious.”
“No need. I’m going home to accompany Mianmian.”
“Mianmian and your father have already left.”
Chi Yue: “…”
Only when they arrived did Chi Yue realize that Fu Rongyin had brought her to one of her previously favorite restaurants.
She raised her eyebrows, saying nothing.
Chi Jianshan thought their relationship had improved and the smile on his face grew broader; the meal turned out to be quite enjoyable.
When they were leaving, Fu Rongyin received a call. Chi Yue didn’t know what was said on the other end of the phone, but suddenly Fu Rongyin’s expression changed.
