Chapter 100
Lu Qiang rushed in on his electric scooter, drenched in rain.
“Boss! Boss! Another batch of off-campus orders!”
Jiang Zhou raised an eyebrow. “Still? More orders?”
Lu Qiang fished around in his pocket and pulled out a stack. “Fifteen orders all from Yin Shuya, just with different addresses.”
“That woman’s really going toe-to-toe with me, huh?!”
“So… do we deliver them or not?”
Jiang Zhou waved his hand. “No. From now on, block all her orders.”
“But she uses a different phone number every time. We can’t block them.”
“Every one’s different? How many does she have?”
“I’ve seen at least 15 myself…”
Jiang Zhou sighed deeply.
As the saying goes: nothing’s harder to deal with than a spoiled rich girl… and a petty villain.
From now on, Jiang Zhou swore to himself that he could offend anyone, but never a woman. Especially a rich one.
What started out as a moment of petty satisfaction had now turned into a lingering headache.
If he’d known it would come to this, he would’ve been more polite back at the villa.
Business deals might fall through, but courtesy should remain.
Now he was the one getting played.
“Alright, I get it. You can head back now,” he said.
Lu Qiang nodded. “I’ll stop handling her orders then.”
Jiang Zhou nodded in return and watched him leave.
Then he took the business card from his pocket and looked at it.
There was only a name and a phone number.
Classic big-shot style — minimalistic but impactful.
He understood that this was the “simple but not ordinary” vibe they all liked to show off.
After thinking for a while, Jiang Zhou still ended up dialing the number on the card.
After a few rings, someone picked up.
“Hello? Who is this?” came the voice.
“It’s me, Jiang Zhou. What exactly are you trying to do?”
Yin Shuya’s voice was lazy and unbothered. “Jiang Zhou? Don’t know him.”
He lost his patience. “Seriously, lady, what the hell do you want?”
“Who are you calling ‘lady’? I’m only 29!”
“I’m 18. Honestly, calling you ‘auntie’ wouldn’t be wrong.”
“You’re the auntie! Say that again and I’ll place a hundred more orders!”
Jiang Zhou walked to the door and lit a cigarette. “You’re picking a fight with me, huh? Just because I won’t sell you Ganfanren, you’re gonna keep harassing me with fake orders?”
Yin Shuya chuckled. “I’m not harassing you. My servants wanted takeout. Is that not allowed? I’m a paying customer too.”
“My website clearly states: ‘Service available only to university students in the campus zone.’”
“I didn’t see it. Who reads every word on a webpage? Besides, I already paid.”
“Fine. Just cut to the chase. What do you really want?”
“I want to buy your Ganfanren.”
“Didn’t you say my project was mediocre? Why won’t you let it go?”
Yin Shuya replied cheerfully, “At first, I wasn’t that obsessed. But now, the more I can’t get it, the more I want it.”
“You’ve got issues. You just have too much money and no idea where to spend it.”
“Heh. I just love taking down guys with smart mouths like yours.”
Jiang Zhou stayed quiet for a moment. “How about this. You invest 100 million, and I’ll give you 1% equity.”
“No way. Even if you offered the whole company, I wouldn’t pay that much.”
“Then forget it. If you keep ordering takeout, I’ll smash your windows!”
Yin Shuya scoffed, “I have tons of houses. Smash all you want, I’ll keep ordering.”
Jiang Zhou blew out a puff of smoke. “You really have nothing better to do, huh? You’re almost thirty, acting like a kid.”
“I warned you! I’m twenty-nine!”
“Women always shave two years off their age.”
“You—!”
“This is the last time I’ll say it, I’m not selling.”
“And I’ll say this one last time, I will buy it.”
“600 billion.”
“10 million, tops!”
“Okay. Bye.”
Jiang Zhou hung up and angrily stubbed out his cigarette.
Honestly, he didn’t know how to deal with Yin Shuya.
She had both wealth and a strong personality.
It was like Feng Siruo and Chu Yuwei had fused into one.
Dealing with either one separately was manageable, but the two combined? A total nightmare.
And now, he had a serious concern.
If Yin Shuya really became obsessed with this project, and he didn’t sell, what if she just cloned it?
With her resources, she could easily create a knockoff version of Ganfanren… and possibly outperform him.
That would be completely within her capabilities.
He had to plan for this possibility now.
Just as Jiang Zhou was deep in thought, Mu Xiaoxiao came in from outside.
“Boss, North China University of Technology called me back.”
Jiang Zhou looked up. “And?”
“Director Chen said they want you to come and give a detailed presentation. You’ll need a PPT too.”
“What the hell? It’s just a simple approval, why do I have to show up in person?”
Mu Xiaoxiao squatted beside him. “That director’s pretty full of himself. Said if you don’t come personally, there’s no way to promote Ganfanren on their campus.”
Jiang Zhou clicked his tongue. “So many types of people in this world.”
The Fashion Institute and Normal University had been easy to work with.
Not only had they welcomed Ganfanren, they even offered support.
But this engineering school? Totally stuck-up, acting like they were kings of the hill.
“I have to go? You can’t do it?”
Mu Xiaoxiao shook her head. “They said I’m just a junior staffer who doesn’t know anything. They want to talk to the person in charge.”
Jiang Zhou looked at her. “And you’re not mad after hearing that?”
“Why would I be? If you go, I get to relax.”
Jiang Zhou thought it over.
Fine. I’d go.
Business was business. Early-stage entrepreneurs had to eat dirt.
Right now, the market was key.
The more of it he claimed, the more leverage he’d have at the venture capital conference.
And most importantly, Yin Shuya was still circling like a hawk.
There was no time to waste. Delay any further, and something bad would happen.
“Xiaoxiao, go pack up. You’re coming with me.”
Mu Xiaoxiao’s eyes widened. “Huh??? I don’t want to go. I was gonna go shopping!”
Jiang Zhou grinned. “Not going? Then I’m docking your pay.”
“She said you had to go!”
“You don’t understand. As a boss, I just can’t stand seeing my employees too relaxed.”
Mu Xiaoxiao put her arms up protectively. “Boss, two people on a business trip, it’s not proper. I’m scared.”
Jiang Zhou rolled his eyes. “Then bring Nan’er too. The three of us will go.”
“Oh… well, in that case, sure.”
