Chapter 427 Coconut Island

Everyone was visiting the Maldives for the first time.

The journey from Hong Kong City, aboard a Gulfstream V private jet, took a little over five hours.

Su Yehao's own plane was still being manufactured and wouldn't be ready until at least February of the following year. The new Gulfstream V model had only started deliveries last year.

As the workers became more skilled and the support facilities caught up, the production cycle was shortening.

Some people in Hong Kong City had already received theirs; he had seen them on the airport tarmac.

In the first half of the year, there were rumors that Gulfstream might go bankrupt at any time, and some customers canceled their orders, giving Su Yehao a chance to snag a bargain. Otherwise, he would have had to wait another three or four months. Recently, rumors had spread that General Dynamics was preparing to acquire Gulfstream, and orders suddenly increased again.

The interior design had already been finalized, equipped with two Rolls-Royce aircraft engines, which were said to offer a much more comfortable flying experience than the V model. Su Yehao even contacted the captain en route, saying that he would register the plane under their company to facilitate maintenance, arrange routes, and manage crew, to avoid the cost of maintaining his own team, which would be uneconomical...

The plane was about to land.

Nangong Tian nudged Jiang Yu, waking her up, and said speechlessly, "Are you a pig? You've been sleeping since we got on the plane, the whole way. I was planning to play cards in the middle; I even brought a deck. I've been so bored."

"We're here..."

Jiang Yu was still dazed from sleep.

Last night, she tossed and turned in bed, feeling stressed and unable to sleep.

This morning, she was so tired after boarding the plane that she dozed off for almost five hours. Hearing the captain announce the imminent landing in English, Jiang Yu looked out the window.

She saw a small island densely packed with buildings.

The seawater was beautiful, but the island... was nothing like the resort she had imagined.

Rubbing her eyes, Jiang Yu looked at Su Yehao and asked, puzzled, "Is this it? It doesn't look very nice. Why are there so many houses?"

"This is Malé, the capital of the Maldives. Half the country's population lives here. It's less than two square kilometers in area, with over two hundred thousand people. How beautiful do you expect it to be?"

Seeing that Jiang Yu was awake, Su Yehao breathed a sigh of relief. He had been worried that she might talk in her sleep and accidentally reveal their secret.

He continued to explain, "The island I bought... where we're going later, is much more beautiful than this, pristine and natural, with hardly anyone there. Everything has been arranged. Just follow me."

The little girl didn't notice anything unusual.

Jiang Yu, however, woke up instantly, sensing something hidden in Su Yehao's words.

Thinking about the real purpose of this trip, she suddenly realized that the plan seemed pretty good, but the process seemed a little embarrassing.

Quietly preparing to drink more alcohol, her stress levels continued to rise...

The plane landed.

The leasing company's plane wouldn't stay on Malé Island to wait for them; it had to keep flying to earn money.

Coming to a place like this, yet unable to relax and enjoy it, the flight attendant sighed for a long time after seeing them off, filled with envy. After a short break, she would immediately head to Munich to pick up a Japanese businessman bound for New York.

Leading the little girl and Jiang Yu, along with Linda Yun and four bodyguards, Su Yehao had just left the small airport when he saw a man and a woman holding a sign with his name on it.

With no other flights at this time, Su Yehao's group was quite conspicuous.

The black-haired girl in her twenties, with slightly dark skin and a look reminiscent of someone from the Three Gorges Dam area, had an exotic charm and was quite pretty. She walked over and asked with a smile in English, "New boss? Su?"

"...Yes, that's me."

For a moment, Su Yehao wanted to cover her mouth.

He had taken every precaution, but still forgot to notify the company. He had wanted to surprise Nangong Tian on the island, but now Nangong Tian was clearly suspicious. Her English wasn't bad.

The girl who greeted them extended her hand and said with a smile, "Welcome to the Maldives. My name is Tabu."

"Oh, you're the one who wanted to stay?" Su Yehao had seen the contract before and knew that the one with 3.5% stake was called Tabu Salih, but he hadn't looked into it closely and had always assumed it was a man.

"That's right. I heard you're very rich, which is great. The hotel facilities can finally be renovated. Several islands are being developed and have been bought by wealthy people from the Middle East, India, and Europe. If we don't renovate the hotel in time, we'll quickly lose our competitiveness."

...

He came on vacation, but she was already pulling him into business talk.

Su Yehao casually reassured her, saying he was willing to provide funding. Thinking of exploring Malé Island on the way back, he got in the car and headed straight to the pier, destination Coconut Island. The little girl finally found an opportunity in the car and asked him curiously, "Why did she call you new boss? Do you have business here too?"

Reaching out to pinch her cheek, Su Yehao said with a smile, "Don't ask so much. I've prepared a surprise for you."

Jiang Yu rolled her eyes secretly at the sight.

It wasn't that she minded their intimacy, but she felt that the word "surprise" was an understatement. It would probably be quite shocking.

Sure enough.

Men's mouths are deceiving. Seeing Su Yehao casually talking to Nangong Tian, Jiang Yu didn't know whether to say Su Yehao was too bad or the little girl was too silly and naive.

Nangong Tian liked surprises and didn't ask much.

Su Yehao was worried that Miss Tabu would leak the secret before they reached the island, so he took the initiative to ask her all sorts of questions, such as local customs and rules, and which of the company's islands was the most beautiful.

Miss Tabu answered truthfully, telling him that compared to the newly developed island projects, the facilities on several islands were a bit old and needed investment for upgrades.

In previous years, the money should have been used to renovate the hotel on Coconut Island, but it was instead used to buy Olivaaru Island, which was over thirty acres in size, so now they could only rely on cost-effectiveness to compete with several luxury resorts.

It could be seen that Miss Tabu was indeed very concerned about the company's operations, otherwise she wouldn't have poured out her grievances to the new boss as soon as they met.

Coconut Island was very close to Malé.

A high-speed speedboat took only about fifteen minutes. The island was home to the Maldives' first luxury resort and had always been used as a state guesthouse, often receiving distinguished guests.

The sun was dazzling today.

As the speedboat approached Coconut Island, everyone's eyes lit up.

Near the island, the seawater became shallower, appearing crystal clear and light blue under the sunlight.

Small boats were docked by the pier, and people were sailing nearby.

Su Yehao heard the little girl exclaim and asked with a smile, "Do you like it?"

"I love it! The seawater is more beautiful than in Phuket. It feels so comfortable to vacation here!"

"That's good. I bought the hotel. This scenery is my gift to you. We'll come here often for vacation in the future," Su Yehao said.

The little girl was completely stunned, her eyes filled with question marks.

She waved her hand, shocked, and said, "This is all ours?!" "Not just this. There are four other islands. One island a day. We'll see them all before we leave..."
