Chapter 246 Giant Cave

“Li Decha’s expression was a little unpleasant, not because An Wenshan was stealing his limelight. He felt that An Wenshan’s behavior of eavesdropping on his conversation with Han Yu was a bit over the line. He was about to reprimand An Wenshan when Rou Yi spoke up.

“How long will it take them to find us here?” Rou Yi asked.

An Wenshan stretched his arms. “It’s hard to say. I have a feeling that this team is acting under some kind of guidance. They hardly took any detours. Maybe someone is leading them here…”

As he said this, An Wenshan glanced at Li Decha, a small gesture that was caught by Han Yu and Li Decha.

“You son of a bitch, you suspect I’m leading them here?”

Li Decha, usually an honest man, suddenly flared up. He knew he couldn’t beat An Wenshan, but he still grabbed An Wenshan’s collar in uncontrollable anger.

Although Li Decha was half a head taller than An Wenshan, he was completely outmatched in terms of aura.

Faced with Li Decha’s threat, An Wenshan didn’t resist, or rather, he didn’t need to resist at all. An Wenshan was steady and well-trained; Li Decha couldn’t shake him at all.

“Alright, you two, stop it. I know Li Decha. He’s not that kind of person. Zhao Chenguang and the others were able to find us so quickly probably because they found some clues in the desert.”

Han Yu smoothed things over for the two of them.

An Wenshan was a bit stubborn, still harping on the details. “When I left, I destroyed almost all the evidence in the desert pointing to the Kunlun Mountains.”

“‘Almost’…” Li Decha relentlessly emphasized the loophole in An Wenshan’s words, as if trying to make up for the face he had just lost. “That means there’s still some information left in the desert…”

This time, it was An Wenshan who lost his cool. “You son of a…”

“Enough! No more arguing. This matter ends here.”

Han Yu frowned, a hint of annoyance between her brows.

Although Han Yu was young, she had a commanding presence, inspiring awe without anger. Usually, no one dared to provoke her, but when she got angry, the sense of oppression was suffocating.

Seeing Han Yu’s anger, Li Decha and An Wenshan stopped arguing.

“An Wenshan, what did you want to see me about just now?”

There was still some lingering anger in Han Yu’s voice. After all, she was still young and not as adept at controlling her emotions as seasoned veterans.

“Ah, oh…”

An Wenshan slapped his head in annoyance. He almost forgot what he wanted to say because of his meddling.

“Dr. Han, what I wanted to tell you was that we found the entrance you were looking for!”

Han Yu’s anger completely dissipated. She met An Wenshan’s confident gaze with surprise. “Are you serious?”

An Wenshan nodded solemnly, then made a gesture to invite her. “Please, come with me.”

Han Yu immediately wrapped her clothes tighter and followed An Wenshan out of the tent with Li Decha, into the snowy expanse.

The three of them left the camp, An Wenshan leading the way, Han Yu in the middle, and Li Decha at the rear, forming a line as they headed towards the mountains.

“How far is it?” Han Yu asked, looking at An Wenshan’s back.

An Wenshan didn’t turn around, but slightly tilted his head and replied, “If we move quickly, about twenty minutes.”

The cold wind blew in gusts, not too strong, but when it hit their faces, it felt like knives cutting into their skin.

Han Yu could only tightly wrap herself in her clothes. The snow on the road was thick. If An Wenshan and the others hadn’t already created a well-trodden path, it would have taken more than an hour to walk this distance.

Two meters to the right of the three was a cliff. If they fell, they would surely be shattered to pieces.

Han Yu glanced down the cliff. There was less snow on the mountainside, and lush greenery dominated most of her field of vision.

This glimpse made Han Yu’s palms sweat. She quickly withdrew her gaze and stopped looking down.

An Wenshan led Rou Yi and Li Decha for about twenty minutes, walking about two kilometers along the snowy path on the mountainside, ascending about fifty meters in altitude. Then, they suddenly turned and entered a huge cave in the mountainside.

The cave was three meters in diameter and at least five meters deep, with obvious signs of artificial excavation.

The Z organization had managed to excavate such a large cave in the steep mountainside in less than five days.

The space inside the cave was even larger, but because the construction period was relatively tight, the interior was very rough.

The cave was filled with various exploration equipment and excavation tools. Many people were working busily inside, and the cave was almost packed with people.

“Come on, make way.”

An Wenshan used his large hands to push the people blocking the way to the side, creating a path for Rou Yi.

An Wenshan led her forward for another three meters, bringing Rou Yi to a wall. He pointed at the wall and said to Rou Yi, “This wall is the entrance.”

Han Yu stared at the wall without speaking.

Li Decha, on the other hand, cursed impolitely, “Are you fucking kidding me? What kind of entrance is this? Isn’t this just a wall? And this stone wall is no different in color and texture from the mountain itself. Who are you trying to fool?!”

Li Decha had always been at odds with An Wenshan, and now that he had finally found a chance to attack An Wenshan, he naturally wouldn’t let it go.

However, An Wenshan ignored him, because An Wenshan knew that Li Decha didn’t know the goods, while Han Yu did. Han Yu’s silence and lingering already indicated the problem.

Han Yu picked up a piece of gravel from the ground and threw it at the stone wall.

The moment the gravel touched the stone wall, it didn’t bounce back, but suddenly disappeared.

Li Decha panicked all of a sudden. He pointed at the stone wall in horror. “This is…”

Han Yu said in a calm and gentle tone, “This is a kind of viscous substance. I usually call it ‘droplet’.”
