Hu Die Lan
Chapter 204 Bullying a Commoner
Three cloth armor classes and one leather armor class were positioned on the far left flank of their formation. They maintained contact with the other four squads in the team channel while carefully probing forward.
The four players were all from the guild Tyrannical Ambition. While they didn't include high-level figures like Ye Du Han Tan, the four of them knew each other from the Heavenly Domain. After coming to the new server together, their relationship became even closer, and they were now almost inseparable partners. That was why they were appearing together in the same area during this activity.
In the previous surprise attacks by Lord Grim and Flowing Tree, two of the players who had been killed were from their Tyrannical Ambition guild. Speaking of which, they had some history with Lord Grim, having fought side by side when they first killed the Goblin Merchant. But now, because of Lord Grim, their guild was embarrassed, and the guild leader decided to turn against him, so the members naturally followed suit without hesitation.
However, they had seen Lord Grim's strength firsthand, so they had never dared to be careless from the start. Even so, two brothers were quickly killed by the other side. One was by Lord Grim, and the other was by that swordsman Flowing Tree, but the assessment they gave was the same: they had no power to fight back.
Everyone had seen Lord Grim's level, but this swordsman, only level 27, with a 6-level difference, was still so powerful. Where did this sacred figure come from? Why were there always endless experts around this Lord Grim? The members of his team that went from nothing to something—Soft Mist, Steamed Bun Invasion, Cleansing Mist, Disappointed Sword, Flowing Tree, and the newly appeared One Inch Ash… Being able to set a record was enough to prove their excellence.
But killing a Boss six levels higher, defeating someone in a PK six levels higher who had no power to fight back, couldn't be glossed over with just the word "excellent," could it?
The brother who was killed by Flowing Tree emphasized the swordsman's incessant, annoying trash talk, stressing the frustration that the pile of nonsense brought him.
The one involved is confused, the bystander sees clearly.
Hearing such a description from a spectator's point of view, veteran Glory players would immediately think of one person.
Huang Shaotian, of course it was Huang Shaotian. The most famous talkative swordsman in Glory was him.
"How is that possible!" After thinking about it, the four of them laughed.
They would think of it, but they wouldn't believe it. Would such a god-level player run into the game and play hide-and-seek with them in the forest? No one would believe it.
"This guy must be a fan of Sword Saint." The ghost swordsman player said with certainty.
"Yeah!" The other three agreed. Huang Shaotian was a god, so of course, there were many fans. Fans imitating their idols was common in the game.
"I used to know a guy like that. He would yell and scream during PK, driving me crazy." The assassin player said.
"Haha, what's that? I've even seen people talking to monsters when they're fighting them." The elemental mage said.
"But this person looks very powerful. We should be more careful." The summoner said.
"Of course." The other three responded, and they continued to walk carefully through the forest.
A text bubble suddenly appeared in the forest.
"There!" The assassin player shouted and rushed in that direction, but the other three looked over and saw nothing. However, none of them dared to be careless. The summoner quickly waved his staff, preparing to summon a pet. Since pets existed for a limited time and each summoned pet required a lot of mana, summoners generally only started summoning at the start of a fight or before a fight. They rarely summoned a pet and walked around the world with it.
*Bang!*
A gunshot, a burst of fire.
The bullet came flying, and the summoner, who was chanting, was immediately interrupted.
"Triple Slash!"
"Upward Slash!"
"Watch the sword!"
"Blade Draw!"
"Furious Stab!"
"Upward Slash!"
…
Before they found their opponent, before they heard any sound, a series of text bubbles suddenly sprang up in front of the four of them, floating rapidly upwards.
A moment of surprise led directly to a second of hesitation. The swordsman Flowing Tree, with the text bubbles overhead, had already charged out with a Triple Slash, slashing at the summoner and interrupting his summoning chant again.
"Here it comes!" The others exclaimed. The summoner, already under attack, desperately tried to escape, while the other three rushed forward. Spells, slashes, and assassinations all came crashing down on Flowing Tree.
Just then, the three of them saw a blur before their eyes, and another figure had flashed in front of them. He raised his hand and swung. *Whoosh*, a shield so large it was shameless opened up in front of them, blocking all three of their attacks.
The elemental mage had just used a spell with little impact. But the assassin's Arcane Flash and the ghost swordsman's Ghost Slash, which carried the force of his body, were indeed substantial against the shield form of Lord Grim's Myriad Manifestations Umbrella. Lord Grim was forcibly pushed back a little.
"Damn, you bumped into me." Lord Grim retreated and bumped into Flowing Tree. For experts with such precise control, even a collision like this could cause a slight tremor, and Huang Shaotian quickly shouted.
"My shield has low weight," Ye Xiu said.
"Oh? How much does it weigh?" Huang Shaotian asked.
"Shut up, hurry up." Ye Xiu said.
Text bubbles continued to roll out…
A summoner without any summoned pets really had no combat power. Many summoners, in order to avoid being so vulnerable, would often spend some skill points to learn some of the battle mage skills below level 20.
This summoner player had also learned them, but… at this moment, he felt that this kind of skill point allocation was a waste.
The skills he had learned were useless. No matter which one he used, the result was only two things.
A counter, or an interruption.
He watched as the names of one skill after another floated up in the text bubbles, as if they were system announcements. He was hit by these skills in order, but he could only watch, at a loss.
His three companions were now completely entangled by Lord Grim alone, and they couldn't spare any attention to him. He took a few glances and even suspected that without support, his three companions might not last until the end.
Support was their only hope. When he thought of this, the summoner finally realized a problem: how did these two guys suddenly get together again? Weren't they doing their own thing before?
He finally had time to think about this question properly. Under the continuous attack of sword moves that seemed like an announcer, the summoner quickly died under Flowing Tree's sword.
For cloth armor classes, Ye Xiu and Huang Shaotian chose them as their breakthrough point, aiming for one thing: they were faster to kill.
The choice to target the summoner as the first kill was not random. Summoners were defenseless without their pets, but if they were given time to summon a few, they would be a very annoying class that could delay a lot of time.
The two god-level players attacked accurately, targeting the summoner from the start, ensuring that this annoying class didn't get to display its power and became a corpse.
"Actually, you should have killed him. Your level is higher, and your attack is higher. It would have been faster." Huang Shaotian killed the summoner and immediately came to interfere with the battle, it was impossible for him not to talk.
"What are you saying?" Ye Xiu said, as Lord Grim used Dragon Tooth to stab the elemental mage on his side, sending him flying. Ye Xiu didn't let Lord Grim follow up because the elemental mage never stood up again…
"Damn…" Huang Shaotian cursed. Being 4 levels higher than him, with a silver weapon's damage and more skills, the battle power he displayed was indeed much stronger than his little swordsman. The time it took him to kill one target was the same as the time it took the other to kill one while fighting three.
"That's why I said, if you went to kill that summoner, it would have been faster." Huang Shaotian hadn't given up on his argument.
"Go block that one!" Now it was two against two, Ye Xiu naturally didn't need to split his attention to fight two at once. He kept his eye on the assassin and handed the other ghost swordsman over to Huang Shaotian.
"Watch the sword…"
Text bubbles began to roll out again. Not just his opponent, the ghost swordsman, but even the assassin couldn't stand watching the skill announcements anymore. After a closer look, he realized that the swordsman's attacks weren't as fast as his text bubbles, because his attack speed couldn't reach that speed. He was using a greatsword. But even so, his text bubbles hadn't stopped. Was he just typing nonsense?
This assassin was never Ye Xiu's match to begin with, and now he was distracted by Huang Shaotian's trash talk, so the outcome was obvious. He was quickly killed by Lord Grim. The ghost swordsman on the other side was also completely suppressed by Huang Shaotian and wouldn't last much longer. Ye Xiu turned Lord Grim's view and saw that the opponent's support hadn't arrived yet. The kill was going more smoothly than the two of them had thought. They originally thought that they would have to find a way to escape after killing two or three, but now it seemed that they could complete a total annihilation.
"Watch the sword, watch the sword, watch the sword, watch the sword."
Huang Shaotian only kept shouting this word, and all the attacks he used were normal attacks. Ye Xiu saw that this guy was completely out of mana, so he rushed forward and quickly helped him kill the ghost swordsman, and then threw some food and potions out.
"Let's go." Huang Shaotian said after Flowing Tree picked up the loot.
"They haven't shown up yet. Something's wrong." Ye Xiu said.
Huang Shaotian looked at the time and estimated the distance of the closest team. He hummed and said, "Logically, they should have arrived when we killed the two."
"Twice the time… Where did they go around to?" Ye Xiu rotated Lord Grim's view.
"They ignored these four people and took this opportunity to surround the two of us again?" Huang Shaotian said.
"This location…" Ye Xiu looked at the coordinates. "It's a trap…"
