Chapter 1377: Chapter 1378: The Terrifying Spider Lady
Central Origin Realm, above the void.
The Spider Woman casually grabbed six senior brothers and sisters and, before Li Xiaobai and the others could react, tossed them into the enormous rift, disappearing without a trace.
“Get them back!”
Li Xiaobai’s mind stirred, and scores of Godzilla creatures surged from all directions, storming into the rift in an attempt to retrieve the lost prisoners.
However, tragically, within mere moments, every invading Godzilla was inevitably contaminated by dark green venom, dissolving entirely into pools of green liquid that splattered onto the ground.

The system’s panel numbers skyrocketed, and there was no need to ask the reason—the Godzillas had suffered massive deaths within the rift.
The Spider Woman’s prison was untouchable, and to touch it meant certain death. One after another, the Saint Realm Godzillas perished, reduced to thick liquid and erased from existence.
Inside the rift, everything fell silent, seemingly unchanged from before, but everyone knew an undeniable truth. The captured were irretrievable; on the other side of the rift, someone was waiting. As soon as the Spider Woman threw them in, those senior brothers and sisters were immediately sent to the Immortal Gods Realm.
“Kill!”
“Push her into the rift!”
Li Xiaobai’s golden giant staff struck the war drum, emitting layers of ancient golden energy that swiftly engulfed the entirety of the Central Origin Realm. Saint Realm Godzillas swarmed forward fearlessly, one after another charging toward the Spider Woman. Golden Rampage Apes rose to the sky in countless numbers, their golden beams flashing from piercing eyes. Wielding sharp claws and carrying golden staffs, golden runes of mystery glimmered and rotated in the void, aiming to annihilate the adversary.
Others also gritted their teeth and revealed their own divine skills to force an overwhelming attack. Yan Zuzi extended his arms, summoning Saint Realm puppets one after another from thin air—his prized collection over the years. With his cultivation restored, he now had enough power to control them all.
Yitilou and Xiao Lao Di observed from a distance, their eyes locked unwaveringly on the Spider Woman. The moment she exposed even a sliver of vulnerability, they’d strike to kill.
As for the other Saint Realm powerhouses of Super Sects, they had become utterly cold, their limbs stiff. None dared to move an inch. The Spider Woman’s dominance had been deeply imprinted on their hearts. From beginning to end, she had only used venom. Yet, just that single strategy left no one in the Central Origin Realm with the ability to resist.
Whether it was Saint Realm Godzillas or Golden Rampage Apes, the moment they touched even a trace of venom, they were instantly reduced to pools of thick liquid.
“Family Head of the Golden Blade Sect, what should we do now?”
“Do we charge forward or remain here?”
The various Family Heads huddled together and whispered nervously, hints of desperation shimmering in their expressions.
“Charge forward? You must be joking. If we go, we’re just delivering our own heads on a platter. Look at the battlefield! Saint Realm Godzillas, Golden Rampage Apes, and those puppets summoned by Senior Yan Zuzi—there are thousands there, maybe even tens of thousands. Each one has deeper cultivation than ours. Why would we sacrifice ourselves? Better to retreat immediately and warn the disciples of our sects to hide as quickly as possible. All we can do now is depend on Sect Master Li to pull off a miracle!”
The Sect Leader of the Golden Blade Sect immediately made the decision and led numerous Saint Realm experts toward the Sword Sect. His goal was to hide the disciples of his sect and try to carve out a glimmer of survival under the assault of the Immortal Gods.
The other Family Heads and sect leaders shared similar fears. Following the Golden Blade Sect Leader’s initiative, they rapidly withdrew from the battlefield. This was human instinct; it was also the fragility of supposed strong-hearted fighters. Even knowing that fleeing ultimately meant death, at the final moment, they still chose to abandon ship.
Excuses about sect responsibilities, family legacy, or offspring were meaningless. In that instant, the only feeling was pure terror.
High above in the sky, Li Xiaobai glanced at them briefly but paid no attention. Neither their actions nor their cowardice mattered to him.
These people were nothing but a ragtag rabble; he’d never relied on them. Their desertion had been anticipated all along. As long as those with exceptional cultivation levels stood their ground, they could still challenge the Immortal Gods.
Outside the rift, amidst the tidal wave of incoming opponents, the Spider Woman simply laughed—a laugh full of unbridled mockery, shaking with glee.
“Do you honestly believe the Immortal Gods will just stand idly by, waiting for you to kill them?”
With that, the Spider Woman’s eight long legs stepped across the space, vanishing in an instant. Intense flames and raging thunder dragons struck empty air. The countless golden staffs also missed their mark. When everyone looked again, the Spider Woman had suddenly appeared above the Sword Sect’s Second Peak, high in the sky above the Central Origin Realm.
“Let’s see how livestock manage to survive this situation,” she sneered.
Her sadistic streak flared. She raised her hand, unleashing a wave of dark green, terrifying venom that shot downward at the cultivators below.
In midair, layers of the Mountain Protection Arrays shattered as if they were nothing. The venoms pierced through, blanketing an entire region. The venom contaminated the sect disciples’ bodies, and before they could so much as scream, they dissolved into pools of liquid and vanished forever.
The silence was eerie to the extreme. Within a hundred-mile radius, countless cultivators evaporated from the mortal realm without a trace.
“What are you dawdling for? Disaster looms overhead! If you want to survive, fend for yourselves. Don’t expect us to save you!”
“You came to war, not to cry out for guardians!”
Xiao Lao Di roared furiously as he watched the stunned, dazed cultivators below. The Spider Woman attacked right in front of them, yet they didn’t move a muscle, simply staring at the venom falling upon them. At this rate, even a slight effort to dodge the attack would’ve been better.
“Save yourselves! If you stay paralyzed, then just accept your death!”
Li Xiaobai bellowed. He was frustrated by the inaction of these cultivators, but he had no time to dwell on it. The Spider Woman was about to unleash a massacre, and the more she acted, the more likely it was that flaws in her defense would emerge. Opportunities to strike were bound to increase—at least for those at the top cultivation tiers. As for the sect cultivators below, they had to rely on their own fate.
“Kill!”
He struck the enormous drum with his massive staff again.
Primal energies raged, stirring the blood within every cultivator present. After hearing the drumbeat three times in succession, their bodies had already been pushed to their limits, yet there was no time to pause. Their eyes turned red, their energy surged violently, a frenzied aura rising to the heavens. As Spider Woman’s attack loomed, the disciples scattered, desperate to flee—each unwilling to throw their life away meaninglessly.
“Only obedient livestock belong in the pen. Rebellious outcasts must be culled!”
“It seems like it’s you few. Once you die, this pen goes back to being a pen!”
The Spider Woman’s momentary amusement wasn’t truly aimed at those fleeing disciples. Her interest quickly shifted back to Li Xiaobai and the others. In the blink of an eye, she appeared behind Yan Zuzi.
Her eight pristine long legs transformed into eight lethal spider spears, piercing fiercely into his body.
“You started dying a thousand years ago. Now, after an undeserved thousand more years of life, you’ll serve as the first sacrifice!”
